My Weekly Refreshing Mentor Spirit
Chapter 850 - 474: Dawn Approaches
At this moment, moving forward would gradually enter the influence range of the Great Void.
Physics gradually twists, space begins to collapse, and even advancing a tiny bit could lead to unimaginable disasters.
Even though pioneers have explored the road ahead, danger still lurks everywhere.
And as someone who has shared the first-person perspective with Yi Shan, Xue Dili has recognized this place.
Yes, in later generations, this place still exists, and perhaps if the Interstellar Corps is willing to search, they might find traces left by these expedition teams.
In later generations, this place is called "Subspace"!
A region where the laws of physics are completely different from the real universe, yet closely related.
And even in the future, Subspace is a domain that is only touched by those above Quasi-Tier Five. Countless strong individuals search for their base within Subspace, realize certain technologies, or simply seek treasures within.
However, these are attempts that are generally only undertaken by those at Quasi-Tier Five or Tier Five and above.
Because in his time, Magic Power and Spiritual Energy had already been popularized.
But in this era... there is no Magic Power or Spiritual Energy!
In this era, no matter who or which race, they all rely on their own strength. At most, some races might store specific chemical or radiation energy within themselves as some kind of special energy source or means of attack.
However, they lack the Magic Power of later generations and the Spiritual Power of the Venerable King.
Except for the newly explored special product, Demon Element, they are essentially a group of Tier Zero individuals who pilot a spacecraft into Subspace, intending to fly to the end of Subspace to complete the final beacon installation.
And even 4 billion years later, only two individuals have reached the end of Subspace—one is the Mimic Venerable King, and the other is Hassan.
Even for these two, the Mimic Venerable King dared only send an Evil Eye along, while Hassan remained forever at the end of Subspace.
And they, without the protection of authority and Magic Power, advance slowly here, piloting a starship and using aircraft as scouting tools.
Perhaps at this moment, Xue Dili feels a deeper resonance with this path.
...
There are 134 remaining Fire Seed ships...
And on the starship at this moment.
Things seem to have been temporarily arranged accordingly.
The rescue craft blazes the path ahead, with the starship following closely behind.
It’s unclear if it’s due to good fortune or because the Number 8 Expedition Team has already traversed the pitfalls here, but by following their footsteps, they’ve managed to smoothly find this beacon point without encountering any danger along the way.
"My task here is almost complete. The next stretch is up to you. Can you handle it, Bone Dragon?" The sound from the communicator carries a mocking tone almost like the sneer of a deceitful creature.
"I am the immortal Dragon King; even if everyone else dies, I might still persist," Bone Dragon muttered absentmindedly, already prepared to take over the next shift.
He has the strongest Life Force in the team; as long as even one piece of his bone remains, he can continue to live on.
He doesn’t understand why he possesses this ability. According to the current Cosmos’ species classification, he doesn’t belong to carbon-based life forms and resembles more of a special energy life form, though his energy life form must be dependent on his skeleton.
Perhaps truly the Cosmos is vast and filled with wonders, just like his team includes a phantom, a guy who supposedly can attach to any living creature.
Bone Dragon lamented in such reflection.
If it was him piloting the reconnaissance aircraft at Dark Elf Karl’s location, he might have withstood even bisecting spatial turbulence.
"My task is done, changing over, changing over!" Deceitful creature’s voice crackled through the communicator.
The transport plane prepared to execute recovery operations, replenish energy, and switch out for another brand new transport plane.
"I am ready over here," Bone Dragon compressed his skeleton, making it more compact to fit into the cabin.
"If, I mean if, the Great Void catastrophe is resolved, and we are fortunate enough to survive, what dreams do you have?" A rather sigh-like voice from the deceitful creature came over the communicator.
"Me?" Bone Dragon responded puzzled.
"Yes, I want to acquire a planet and transform it into a place where the use of force is forbidden—only games can decide victories, which would be an absolute blast," the deceitful creature sighed. "If we can miraculously return, the Unified Front subsidies should be sufficient for me to own a planet, right?"
"Ah, I see..." Bone Dragon sighed. "Then I want to split myself into countless fragments, each one being me and also not me. Each fragment would transform into a complete entity and experience a magnificent life. When all of me reunite as one, perhaps that’s when I will understand the direction of the future."
Bone Dragon’s hoarse voice resonated through the communicator.
"Oh, brother, your idea is so peculiar!"
"Mutual sentiments; your idea isn’t lacking in strangeness either."
The two seemed to humorously tease each other, and in the end, Bone Dragon hesitated a bit and left a piece of his bone inside the starship.
For him, his consciousness could transfer into any fragment he desired; every piece of bone is essentially himself.
This is somewhat like a certain jellyfish structure, so other races have always found his life structure to be quite peculiar.
