Chapter 823 - 462: The Tenth Apostle Seeking Help (Part 2)

  • Next Chapter

"Who?" Xue Dili immediately showed a puzzled expression.

Who else needed help? The Interstellar Corps couldn’t possibly reach out for help to him; as for the Masked Ball, well, no one would dare to attack the Masked Ball out of insanity, even though his group of friends seemed like they spent all day looking for fun and were "Simei Lusimei Lu" obsessed.

But truly irritate them, and each one of them could turn into a humanoid Cosmic Void, naturally wielding the power of the Void. If they self-destructed, even the Lord of Mist might end up failing.

"The Moon Goddess Artemis, she seeks your help because their world is currently facing an invasion," said Earth Mother, pausing slightly before continuing, "She says the invaders are Apostles!"

"Snap!" Xue Dili’s neck emitted a crackling sound from the intense movement, and he looked at Earth Mother in disbelief.

The Apostles, weren’t they all dead? Only he, the Tenth Apostle, and the Eleventh Apostle remained...

Xue Dili also knew about the Tenth Apostle’s information. Her real name was Chaos and she could be considered Athena’s "daughter." She herself was the administrator of that place called "Eden."

The Eleventh Apostle was a war-crazed believer in power, but from Xue Dili’s understanding, he was unlikely to actively invade others.

But if the invasion was by an Apostle, Xue Dili could only think of the Eleventh Apostle.

However, even though Chaos’s authority wasn’t in the realm of power, she shouldn’t be weaker than the Eleventh Apostle, right?

Xue Dili completely disregarded the other Apostles because they were either killed by him or were trapped in Mickey’s Magical House by the Mimic Venerable King, now probably still struggling under the dual torment of the Mimic Venerable King and the Void.

It was also possible they were completely assimilated by the Mimic Venerable King or the Void.

"Let’s go!" Without saying much, Xue Dili glanced at the vial of the Lord of Mist’s blood in his hand.

"You don’t want to regret it in the future because you lack strength, right?"

The last words of the Mimic Venerable King echoed in his mind again, as if he had foreseen the current situation and directly spoke these words.

Looking at the blood in his hand, Xue Dili finally hesitated no more, grabbing the blood and gulping it down in one go.

There was no sensation, not even a taste of bloodiness, only as if scorching lava flowed down his throat, then his entire body started twitching and shifting.

But Xue Dili couldn’t savor this transformation and directly said, "Let’s go!"

...

At the same time, in another shallow region of subspace, a place no one could detect was the location of the Lord of Mist.

"Damn it, I need to breed more, more!"

"Divine Tree’s power, quickly consume more humans!"

"Possess you, I will possess you!"

Twisted and bizarre utterances echoed here, and at this moment, as the Lord of Mist looked at the six faces on himself, he understood that the six people he cultivated in the Mist Council were all dead.

Even if they were once part of his god-making creations, individuals he deemed likely to become gods, after so many years, he gradually realized that he wanted them to become gods and thus be confined to the end of subspace. But they didn’t see it that way; they wanted to acquire godly power without being forever accompanied by the end of subspace and the Void.

This was because the Interstellar Corps explored part of the truth at the end of subspace, leading these people to have thoughts they shouldn’t have.

These utterly useless fools, the Lord of Mist could only let them exert their final value, paving the way for the Mimic Venerable King’s path to becoming a god with their corpses.

However, he was slightly surprised that when those people realized they couldn’t escape, they wanted to drag him down with them.

He had no choice but to strip the authority from them, which resulted in the current backlash.

Now, with his body distorted to an extreme, the Lord of Mist still had a portion of his half-body encased within the mist, resembling a forever shrouded monster, while the other half was covered with six faces.

These were the faces of the First to Sixth Apostles!

They were densely distributed on the right side, one on the shoulder, one on the chest, one on the abdomen, one on the thigh, one on the arm, one on the back...

Six faces continuously emitted extremely distorted sounds, and the Lord of Mist realized that these chess pieces he cultivated had died and the backlash caused by stripping their authority had fallen upon him.

The authority of "creation" was his power, ever since the god-making 4 billion years ago, this was an authority created solely by him without any support from Subspace Evil Gods.

Creating all things, including god-making!

"No, just one God of Order is not enough; I need more, to create more godly positions..."

"To place more gods at the end of subspace..."

"I want to create new gods...if others can’t, I’ll become a god myself...I want to make gods, I want to make gods..." He seemed to endlessly mutter, with all seven faces on his body emitting distorted sounds in unison.

"Fruits, we want fruits!"

"My children are already parched and famished!"

The twisted sounds rang once more, the Lord of Mist unable to control these backlashes from authority, but he only muttered, "Go create another True God..."

He hadn’t conceived such a notion before, but now he pondered, why did he have to make gods?

He once would never harbor such an idea, because before that thought even occurred, it would naturally be replaced by the idea of "creating gods anew."

But now, why did he have such a perverse notion?

But he quickly cast aside the thought, forgetting perhaps something unimportant; after all, he only needed to create new gods, and as long as he kept on the path of creating new gods, he would feel unspeakable tranquility and peace.

What exactly did he forget?

Whatever, it’s inconsequential.

The next is the Tenth Apostle; now I need your power. Since you lack the qualifications to become a god, you might as well become nourishment on my path to godhood!

Simultaneously, this also completes the final misty ritual! Initially, it was a ceremony for other Apostles to become gods, but now, it can only be him.

...

Blood coursing through the body, flowing through every fiber and bone.

In truth, Xue Dili still didn’t understand the Lord of Mist’s purpose.

Living since 4 billion years ago, creating the Mist Council, inciting the Divine Tree disaster across the universe, and granting other Apostles the power to wield authority seemed everything was for others, not himself.

So what was his goal? Why do it all?

Billions of years of slaughter, skinning and dismembering humans identical in appearance to the Venerable King, then feeding their bodies and souls to the Divine Tree to cultivate so many Apostles, what was his ultimate aim?

It can’t be that it was merely to provide a bridal gown for the Mimic Venerable King, so the Mimic Venerable King could become the God of Order?

Now, suddenly, a scene like clairvoyance emerged before Xue Dili’s eyes...

It appeared to be a research institute, filled with bizarre beings of varying appearances.

Yet somehow, Xue Dili could understand the writing on the walls.

Written above the institute were large twisted letters resembling centipedes, spelling out "God-Making Plan."

Underneath was a line of small text: "The Great Void is not yet fully resolved; it is estimated the Venerable King can only delay it for a century. This only cures the symptoms, not the disease. It is crucial to create new gods to combat the Great Void together."

A passing staff member softly murmured, "If combating the Great Void is eternal martyrdom, then are we right or wrong?"

"For the cosmos, someone must become kindling to light the flame," the "I" in the clairvoyance remarked.

The scene rapidly fluctuated, like a seizure.

"Hey, Xediles!" Hector’s hand slapped on Xue Dili’s shoulder, calming the cold sweat dripping, panting Xue Dili.

He was now in the Parallel World’s Earth, the world where his Greek old friends lived, and here, the Moon God who came seeking rescue awaited him.

"I’m fine...I’m fine..." Xue Dili managed to recover from the clairvoyance.

He could feel the colossal obsession erupting within the "I" seen in the clairvoyance.

It was an obsession for god-making...

Strangely enough, it was not for combating the Great Void in the clairvoyance, but purely for the obsession with "god-making."
