My Virtu-Real Harem System
Chapter 48: Fabric Frustrations
Friday afternoon brought a welcome patch of warm, golden sunlight that flooded the polished floors of the downtown commercial mall. After the crushing stress of the two-week midterm exam, the bustling shopping center felt incredibly alive. The air was filled with the light scent of fresh coffee, bakery sweets, and the distant hum of pop music drifting from the storefront layout.
Leo walked down the wide center lane of the mall, his tall, broad-shouldered body moving easily through the crowd. But his posture was slightly rigid, his arms pinned flat against his sides.
"Leo~! Look at that shoe display over there!" Stella cheered happily. Her silver-white hair bounced around her shoulders as she clung aggressively to his right arm, squeezing his biceps tightly against her full, heavy chest. She had a massive, carefree grin on her face, completely free of the terror that had frozen her that day. "You absolutely have to come with me to check out the summer sandals after this!"
"Leave him alone." Chloe snapped out furiously. Her crimson eyes flashed as she clung just as tightly to Leo's left arm, her fingers digging into his sleeve as she pulled him toward her own curves. "Leo is going to shop with me! Stop dragging him toward your annoying shoe stores!"
Leo let out a long, grounded sigh, rolling his dark eyes toward the high glass ceiling of the mall. "Both of you, calm down. People are staring."
He wasn't exaggerating. As the group moved past the regular clothing shops, dozens of random guys in the mall stopped dead in their tracks. They stared at Leo with a pure, heavy mixture of intense jealousy and deep admiration. To the outside world, Leo looked like an absolute king, casually walking through a luxury plaza with two exceptionally beautiful, voluminous girls locked onto his arms like high-end accessories.
Walking a few steps behind them, Cynthia and Nicole followed the chaotic trail, their bags slung over their shoulders.
Nicole bit her lower lip hard, her signature violet eyes darting nervously between Leo's back and the passing shoppers as a massive pink blush painted her cheeks. She aggressively twisted a strand of her short chestnut-golden bangs, trying desperately to pull up her stubborn defenses. "Look at those two... they are being completely rowdy in a public avenue! It's so incredibly embarrassing! If that giant dummy-Leo thinks I'm going to cling to him like a helpless child, he’s got another thing coming!"
Cynthia offered a soft, disciplined chuckle, though her amber eyes carried a rare, deeply competitive flash of jealousy as she tracked the younger girls. "Let them have their fun for now, Nicole. But I must admit... seeing him completely cornered like this is making me jealous as well."
"Keep your voices down, everyone. We have arrived."
A mature, commanding voice cut through their bickering. Walking just a step ahead of the group, leading the way with a flawless, striking elegance, was Genevieve. Even in her casual off-campus wear, a fitted blouse that beautifully tracked her voluptuous hourglass body, she radiated an elite, authoritative charm. She stopped right in front of a high-end, brightly lit boutique, gesturing toward the storefront sign. "The premium swimwear store is right here. Let us go in there."
The moment they stepped inside the boutique, a wave of summer energy hit them. The walls were lined with endless rows of colorful fabrics, tropical patterns, and high-fashion summer outfits.
Leo let out a breath of pure relief as Chloe and Stella finally released his arms to rush toward the racks. He walked over to a plush leather stool in the center of the changing room lounge, dropping his tall body onto the seat and rubbing his temples. Finally, some breathing room, he thought, watching the absolute chaos unfold.
The women immediately scattered across the boutique store, their distinct personalities driving their shopping styles.
Cynthia and Nicole moved toward the rear corner, filtering through the more subtle, elegant, and modest looking bikinis. Nicole pulled a classic navy-blue two-piece off the rack, holding it up against her narrow slender waist while looking at her reflection in a full-length mirror. Her face flushed a beautiful shade of pink as she turned to Cynthia. "Cynthia... do you think this design is too plain? I don't want to look like a high schooler out there on the sand."
Cynthia smiled warmly, selecting a sophisticated, deep emerald halter-neck bikini that perfectly matched her mature stature. "Not at all, Nicole. The clean lines fit your style beautifully. It carries a very pure, attractive charm that I am certain... certain people will appreciate." Nicole’s blush instantly deepened all the way down to her white crop top, realizing exactly who Cynthia was hinting at.
Meanwhile, near the luxury designer rack, a thoroughly flustered groan echoed through the aisle.
Professor Genevieve was standing in front of a row of premium, high-fashion black bikinis, her beautiful face twisted into a highly annoyed, embarrassed expression. She held up a stunning, sophisticated top piece, before letting out a helpless sigh and looking toward the lounge. "This is completely absurd... the premium selection size in this section are entirely flawed. I cannot find my size anywhere on these racks. The upper fabric sizes are far too small for me."
Leo looked up from his stool, his dark eyes naturally tracking her voluminous chest lines as she held the fabric. A sudden wave of intense heat rushed to his face, a vivid flashback of their hidden office encounters flashing through his mind. He forcefully cleared his throat, looking away to mask his sudden arousal.
"Leo~! Look at this piece!"
Stella’s cheerful shout violently shattered the lounge's peace. She came running out from the athletic aisle, holding up a microscopic, silver string bikini that barely used enough fabric to cover a hand. She spun around on her heel, flashing a highly mischievous, teasing smile as she pressed the tiny silver fabric right against her curves. "If I wear this to the ocean on Saturday, Leo, do you think your heart can handle it? Or will you be too busy saving me from drowning?"
Before Leo could answer, Chloe aggressively marched right between them, holding up a fiercely vibrant, low-cut purple bikini with thin lattice straps that left the sides completely open. Her yandere energy practically radiated across the carpet as she yanked Leo's arm, forcing his chin toward her selection. "Don't look at her trash, Leo! Look at mine! This fabric tracks my physical curves flawlessly! Tell me right now, which one of us looks more attractive? Choose me, Leo!"
Stella let out an entertained laugh, enjoying Chloe's furious competition immensely as she leaned close, her soft shoulder brushing against Leo's chest in a subtle moment. "Eeeh? But Leo likes this bikini much better, Chloe! Don't be so aggressive!"
Leo sat perfectly still on the stool, completely trapped as the two girls crowded his personal space, their sweet scents and soft curves pressing close. He raised his hands defensively, his voice carrying a thoroughly annoyed, awkward rumble. "Get whatever you want, both of you. Just pick an outfit and don't ask for my opinion inside a women's boutique. It's getting entirely too awkward in here."
"Hmph! You're no fun, dummy-Leo!" Nicole yelled out flusteredly from the back rack, her fingers clutching her navy bikini as she glare-blushed at the crowded lounge display.
.....
After two full hours of fierce competition, heavy adjustments, and endless trying-on loops, the shopping date finally came to a successful close.
The group walked out of the commercial mall entrance just as the sun began to sink below the horizon, painting the city skyline in a deep, beautiful amber evening twilight. Each of the women carried a premium shopping bag, their faces bright, relaxed, and fully radiating genuine happiness after a long, fun day of relaxation.
Chloe stood near the transit walkway, her crimson eyes looking up at Leo with a sweet, deeply infatuated smile as she clutched her red bag. "We had an incredible amount of fun today, Leo. I honestly can't wait for Saturday morning... you better be prepared to look only at me when I wear my new bikini."
"No way, he's going to look at mele and my bikini first!" Stella chimed in comically, waving her bag as she offered a soft, genuine smile.
Nicole violently turned her red face to the side, pouting fiercely as she gripped her straps. "J-Just make sure you arrive on time this weekend, Leo! If you dare to look stupid in front of the other tourists, I'm never talking to you again!"
Cynthia and Professor Genevieve offered warm, elegant nods, their eyes carrying a deep, lingering warmth as they bid him goodnight. "Get some proper rest, Leo. The weekend holiday will be spectacular."
With a flurry of final waves and playful parting remarks, the girls all turned on their heels, moving down their respective transit lines and avenue blocks to head back to their homes.
Leo stood alone under the faint amber glow of the courtyard streetlamp, his hands shoved deep into his pockets as he watched their beautiful figures disappear into the evening crowd. He let out a long, quiet, and deeply peaceful sigh, a genuine smile tracing his sharp lips.
He turned around, taking a relaxed, slow walk back toward his quiet studio apartment. Stepping inside his dark room, he kicked off his boots, threw himself flat across the sheets of his twin mattress, and stared up at the calm ceiling.
Everything is going perfectly okay for now, Leo thought to himself, the warm memories of the chaotic, beautiful women filling his mind with pure, peaceful satisfaction as the chapter boundaries close down.
