My Ultimate OP System: Summoning All Dragons, Gods, Heroes & Villains
Chapter 452: Morgana Le Fay (III)
She paused, then smiled. "So you didn’t know."
Then she took another sip from her cup before continuing. "Well, there’s little point in trying to hide it from you. As you know, I’m incapable of lying to you."
"I gave Izzgur a command, instructing him to take every outsider he brought with him and have them leave my kingdom."
"Hmm," Alter-Bella muttered.
At this point, she understood Morgana’s position within the Demon Continent. She was its ruler.
After another quiet moment, Alter-Bella asked, "Why would you do that?"
Morgana’s other fingers curled into a fist, although this could not seen as they were hidden by the folds of her robe.
Still maintaining that fake smile, she answered. "I had always known that Izzgur hadn’t been in my kingdom for some time. But the day he returned, I suddenly felt your presence."
"I gave it some time, thinking perhaps it was merely a coincidence, or maybe the feeling would eventually fade. But it didn’t. I could still feel your presence."
"So it became rather obvious to me that among those Izzguar had brought here with him, you were one of them."
Alter-Bella looked at her with slight puzzlement. "What do I have to do with any of this?"
Morgana answered. "Because, Mistress, as you have always known, I’ve spent all these years trying to escape the fate of being bound to you."
Her voice was calm. "Your presence here only serves to remind me that there’s one person i cant help but be in continuous subservience to"
Alter-Bella stared at her for a moment, then suddenly burst into laughter, shaking her head. "What a bitch."
She rose from her seat.
"After all this time...how many times must I remind you, Morgana? You cannot escape me."
She began walking slowly around the room, glancing over its furnishings.
"I am the reason you exist. Everything you are, everything you possess, all of it ultimately belongs to me."
She looked back at Morgana with an amused smile.
"You can run as far as you like, but you will never escape your true purpose, Me. You are my Blessed, Morgana and your existence is mine to command."
Morgana gave a small, resigned smile. "Once again, I am reminded of my circumstances.... Thank you, Mistress. You never fail at doing that."
"Oh, you’re welcome, darling." Alter-Bella smiled and continued strolling around the room.
The truth was that being one of the Mistress’s Blessed came with conditions that wasn’t just about the power she granted them.
The fate of her Blessed was, to a great extent, bound to that of their Mistress. Alongside that bond came servitude and an absolute inability to lie to her.
That was why Morgana could do nothing but answer whenever Alter-Bella questioned her. It was part of the very nature of the blessing.
A dark one could not deceive the Mistress, nor refuse her commands. Their very existence was bound to the power that had created the mystical connection between them; compelling them toward obedience.
It was something Morgana had hated for an immeasurably long time.
It wasn’t a secret, either. She had spent years searching for ways to nullify this, looking for some means of freeing herself from the Mistress’s influence.
But every attempt had failed.
Even the difference in power between them didn’t matter.
The rules of the blessing remained unchanged.
——
About half an hour later...
At this time, evening had settled over continent, and darkness of night had taken over the day.
Inside the large room, everyone had gathered together when a mass of shadow suddenly spread across the floor beneath them.
The sudden appearance immediately drew everyone’s attention, including Nathan and Jillia’s who had just entered the room only a split second ago.
Kimora stared in fascination as the darkness expanded across the floor. "Wow..."
It was the first time she had seen Isabella’s power from such close range.
The darkness soon began retracting, flowing back toward the center before sinking into Alter-Bella’s body.
She emerged completely from the shadows and calmly walked over to take a seat beside Ethan, still bearing an excited smile.
Ethan looked at her curiously. "Where did you suddenly go?"
"Oh, I went to see her." She said.
Ethan’s eyes widened slightly. "Morgana?"
Isabella nodded.
"Okay. Tell me all about it later." He said before gestured toward Nathan and Jillia, who were standing nearby.
"But right now..."
Whenever Nathan entered their quarters, it was to address them about something.
But first, he turned toward his daughter. "Kimora, I’m going to need the room with them. Please leave."
The seriousness in his voice made it clear that this wasn’t a request.
Kimora stood immediately. She bowed politely toward everyone before turning to her father and giving him another respectful bow.
Then she walked away.
Once she was gone, Nathan turned back toward the others. "There has been some bad news."
He paused, seemingly searching for the right words.
"Are you about to tell us that the Demon King ordered you to send us away?" Alter-Bella spoke before he could continue.
Nathan’s eyes widened. Jillia looked equally surprised, as did everyone else in the room.
"How did you know that?" He asked.
Hayley looked between them in confusion. "What’s happening?"
"Wait, send us away?" Percival immediately asked. "Why?"
Bella sighed softly and rose from her place on the ground where they sat.
She first turned toward Ethan. "You were wondering who role Morgana played in this continent, right?"
Ethan nodded.
"Well, she is the ruler of it."
Ethan’s expression changed instantly. "The Demon King?"
Alter-Bella nodded.
Miss Bernadette looked confused. "I’m sorry, but who exactly is Morgana?"
Alter-Bella glanced toward her. "She is my Blessed, but that’s another story."
Her attention returned to Nathan. "As for sending us away, you don’t have to worry about that anymore."
"I’ve already convinced your ruler to rescind the order." She continued
It was then that Nathan spoke. "I mean... I wasn’t exactly going to follow it immediately," he said. "I intended to tell you all about it and work out a way to break the order."
He shook his head, still trying to make sense of what he had just heard. "But I don’t understand...What exactly are you saying?"
Isabella then went on to explain how the connection between herself and Morgana had come about, along with short meeting that had transpired between them at the palace.
By the time she finished, the room had fallen into silence...they were all too stunned to speak.
