My Three Babies Have Different Fathers
Chapter 97: You will find out everything soon enough
Hana walked toward the elevator that would take her to the second floor, the place the woman had mentioned. The room there was already filled with people busily discussing their master’s case. Brandon’s secretary immediately approached her with a faint smile.
"Mrs. Hana," he greeted her with a slight bow.
Hana returned his greeting. "Have you also—"
"That’s right, Madam. Please follow me to the room next door. The trial won’t begin for another two hours. You don’t need to join the crowd just yet. Allow me to escort you to a more private place."
Hana followed him. The room he had mentioned was much more spacious, clean, and comfortable. Various snacks had also been prepared on the table.
"Please rest here. I’ll come and get you when the trial is about to begin."
The secretary turned to leave.
"Wait!" Hana called out when the man was almost at the door. "I think there’s been a misunderstanding. I didn’t come here to watch the Vein family’s trial. I want to turn myself in and prove that my children’s father is innocent of those accusations."
The secretary looked at her for a moment before giving her a faint smile.
"I understand, Madam. However, this matter is also closely related to your children’s three fathers."
"What do you mean? Isn’t Dion Sexa the only one in trouble? Is there something I don’t know?" she asked in quick succession.
The man fell silent for a moment before asking, "Madam, do you really not know the identities of your sons’ three fathers?"
Hana frowned. Her eyes flashed as she looked up at him. A few seconds later, she stepped backward, her face pale.
"They aren’t ordinary wealthy men?" she asked, swallowing hard. "So today’s trial is for them too?"
"It seems you truly don’t remember." The secretary sighed. "Allow me to ask you something. Are you also unaware of Young Master Brandon’s status? Didn’t you grow up with him since high school? He never hid his last name."
Hana shook her head. She massaged her temples, trying to ease the dizziness that had suddenly come over her.
"What... what do you mean?"
"Mrs. Hana, my master loved you so much that he dared to defy his own mother, the ruler of the eastern territory of the Melvin Continent. Yet you kept rejecting him and chose those three men instead."
The secretary stared intently at Hana before continuing, "Didn’t Young Master promise to give you a proper status after one year? Yet you still rejected him. Even when he was willing to grant your wish to raise your three children, you still refused to accept him. Can you tell me the real reason?"
Hana kept shaking her head as she massaged her temples.
"Brandon... he’s not an ordinary wealthy man either?" she murmured. "Is he just like them?"
She couldn’t believe it. Back in high school, Brandon had seemed like any other rich kid. Nothing more.
Hana finally fell to her knees, clutching her head. Her eyes trembled as she tried to process everything the secretary had said.
"Brandon..." She looked up at the man before her. "Why did he let me be with them?"
Hana suddenly got to her feet and grabbed Brandon’s secretary by the clothes.
"Was what you said true? Is he really the successor to the ruler of the eastern territory?" she asked in a trembling voice. "Then tell me what happened seven years ago! How could... he..."
Hana staggered one step backward. Her face grew even more panicked.
"What made me end up like this? Was it his mother?" She grabbed the man’s collar again. "She said something I couldn’t understand when she took me away. Was my suspicion right? Was Brandon also involved in all of this?"
"Madam—"
"Tell me!" Hana shouted. "Was it Brandon’s mother who made me end up like this? And Brandon just stood by while I was treated that way?"
Seeing her panic, Brandon’s secretary frowned. He immediately placed both hands on Hana’s shoulders.
"Madam!" he barked.
Hana fell silent.
"You will find out everything soon enough. However, there is one thing I need to make clear. My master never truly intended to let any of this happen. For the past seven years, he has been searching for you."
Hana shook her head. Tears began to stream down her face, even though her memories had not returned. She could only feel an increasingly strong sense of foreboding.
"Were both my parents also killed by Brandon’s mother?" she whispered. "Did Brandon just let everything happen? Did he allow all of this to happen to me without doing anything?"
"Madam." Brandon’s secretary’s voice was low and cold, making Hana freeze instantly. "Calm yourself. In two hours, you will find out everything. My master will no longer hide anything from you either."
After saying that, Brandon’s secretary left the room.
Hana collapsed to the floor. She struck her head several times, desperately trying to remember something that felt so far away.
"How could I forget everything? What exactly happened?" she cried out in despair.
At a hotel, Dion Sexa slammed his tablet onto the floor. He immediately grabbed the collar of his chief secretary, who had just arrived.
"You said Hana left again? Didn’t I tell you to tighten security around the residence?"
"Sir... Master Brandon sent his men to cause trouble. By the time we managed to deal with them, Madam Hana had already left the residence."
Hans and Orland, who had just arrived after hearing the news, frowned and approached Dion’s secretary.
"Did Hana leave without a single trace?" Orland asked.
The secretary lowered his head before shaking it.
"No, Sir. Madam Hana took advantage of the blind spots in the residence’s surveillance cameras."
"I’m going to Brandon’s hotel. That little bastard!" Hans growled.
Orland shook his head.
"He’s under the supervision of the Head of the Supervisory Council now. Even though the Head of the Supervisory Council is still giving you some leeway, Brandon has already handed over all the evidence of our crimes to him. Do you think he’ll just sit back and do nothing?"
He paused briefly before adding, "Hana must be under his control again by now."
Dion lit a cigarette and took a slow drag.
"Didn’t you say Jexy Hesh had erased all traces of your involvement seven years ago? How could the evidence now be in the hands of the Head of the Supervisory Council?"
Orland sank onto the sofa, his expression dark.
"The evidence was erased. However, Maya Vein kept her own records. She broke our agreement and kept them without my knowledge."
The room fell silent again. Hans finally spoke.
"We only have one way out. Hana will definitely come to the trial with Brandon. With her memories still incomplete, she’s likely to misunderstand everything."
