My Three Babies Have Different Fathers
Chapter 83: Just how close are we, really?
Brandon stared sharply at Dion Sexa, who was standing in front of him.
"That’s my business, not yours," he snorted.
Dion chuckled lightly. "You’re right. But unfortunately, Hana has absolutely no intention of marrying you. Sorry, I mean becoming your mistress."
"Stop talking so much!" Brandon sneered. "Beat him up!" he ordered the subordinates standing around him.
Seeing Brandon’s men begin to advance toward him, Dion Sexa immediately rose from his chair. In an instant, both pistols in his hands were aimed at the attackers.
Bang!
Bang!
The sound of gunshots continued to echo throughout the hospital lobby.
Dion had previously instructed the civilians to go up to the second floor. Although that area was not entirely safe either, he knew Brandon wouldn’t hurt civilians that easily.
Brandon glanced at Dion before turning around and leaving the hospital with his secretary. He tightened the coat he was wearing, then strode toward the car parked directly in front of the entrance.
"Leave as quickly as possible!" he ordered.
Dion had no intention of stopping him. He continued aiming his pistols at Brandon’s men, moving swiftly as he did so. Every shot hit its target precisely.
There wasn’t the slightest trace of mercy on his face. In this world, anyone who dared to attack had to be completely incapacitated. To Dion, life was far too precious to be spared for those who dared to oppose him.
Dion smiled faintly as he massaged his stiff neck. He looked at the pile of corpses in front of him, then immediately picked up his phone.
"Have you taken care of it?" he asked.
"Yes, sir," someone answered from the other end of the phone.
"Return to the western territory of the Melvin Continent," he ordered.
Without waiting for a reply, Dion immediately headed to the seventh floor, where Orland Hesh was being treated.
He sneered when he saw the man standing in the middle of a crowd of his own subordinates. Several corpses lay scattered around them, clearly belonging to Brandon’s men who had attacked Orland earlier.
Dion draped the coat he was carrying over his shoulders, then sat leisurely on the sofa as though the scene around him didn’t bother him at all.
"Orland Hesh... you really look ridiculous this time," he said with a chuckle. "Our sons have forgotten about you."
Orland snorted. He raised both hands to tell his subordinates to move aside, then pointed at Dion.
"Dion Sexa, I’ll get back at you soon," he said firmly.
After that, he strode toward the exit.
Meanwhile, Jesy, Jexy, and Jezy had already been evacuated to the aircraft.
Orland paused briefly before speaking again. "You want Hana all to yourself? Keep dreaming. I also have a child with her, and that’s enough to secure my position."
After saying that, he continued walking out.
Dion glanced at him, shrugged, then followed him.
"Sir, I’m sorry, but you can’t come aboard. This is Mr. Orland’s private aircraft," Orland’s secretary said, blocking his way at the entrance.
Dion snorted.
"Orland!" he shouted. "You’re not letting me come with you?!" he yelled.
The secretary in front of him pointed a tablet at Dion. On the screen, Orland could be seen sitting calmly in his seat.
"Dion Sexa, just how close are we, really?" Orland asked. "What would I gain by taking you with me?"
You bastard! Dion cursed inwardly. Aren’t you being a little too petty?
"My secretary only sent two aircraft. Do you want me to stand around here waiting for hours?"
Orland smiled mockingly. "The Hesh family’s private aircraft doesn’t take in random dogs and cats."
"You can drive yourself back to your territory if you don’t want to wait," he said flatly.
Dion gritted his teeth and pointed at Orland with his index finger. His eyes flashed sharply for a few moments.
"You don’t want to take me with you? Fine," he snorted. "Have you forgotten? I’m the one who arranged the aircraft for Hana. My secretary will take Hana to the western territory. Do you think you can find her without my permission? Keep dreaming!"
Dion turned around and stormed off, intending to head down to the lobby.
Wait? That was clearly impossible. Brandon, that bastard who was about to become the successor, had undoubtedly blocked the flight routes. Even leaving this territory would probably be difficult for him.
Driving was his only remaining option.
Dion reached into his pocket to take out his phone as he prepared to go downstairs by elevator. However, before the elevator doors opened, Orland’s secretary hurried after him.
"Sir... wait!" he called breathlessly. "My master was only joking earlier. Why are you leaving so quickly?"
Dion glanced at Orland’s secretary with a sneer.
"Tell your master that I, Dion Sexa, have absolutely no interest in sharing an aircraft with the Hesh family."
After that, he turned his attention back to the floor numbers changing on the elevator display.
"Sir, please wait a moment!" Orland’s secretary called out in a panic. "My master has already prepared a special seat for you. How can you simply disregard it? Do you want to trample all over the Hesh family’s dignity?" he added.
Dion sneered briefly, then stepped into the elevator as soon as the doors opened.
Trample all over the Hesh family’s dignity? Does Dion Sexa really need to care about anyone else’s dignity? Other people are the ones who need to respect him, not the other way around.
Orland’s secretary quickly moved to hold the elevator doors open. He hadn’t expected Dion Sexa to care so little about the Hesh family’s dignity.
Dion glared at him impatiently.
"Do I need to kill you to get you out of my way?" Dion asked in a low voice.
Orland’s secretary immediately shook his head. His mind raced as he searched for a way out. If he gave up now, Orland might kill him for failing to bring Dion onto the aircraft. He had to find a way to persuade the man.
"Sir, my master said there’s something he needs to discuss with you. It concerns what happened seven years ago. My master also still has evidence of your involvement in that incident. So, please cooperate. We promise to take you safely back to the western territory if you agree," he added hurriedly.
Dion Sexa’s face darkened instantly.
Thud!
His foot swiftly struck Orland’s secretary in the stomach.
"How dare your master threaten me!"
"Argh!" Orland’s secretary groaned as he collapsed to the floor.
However, he quickly shook his head and tried to explain again.
"Sir, you would benefit from accepting this offer too. Mr. Brandon has already deployed his men to the border. Returning today would be impossible for you as well. The Hesh family is different. My master has a free-flight permit from Maya Vein. You can leave this territory easily, even without using your own identity."
Dion Sexa glanced at him briefly before tossing his coat onto Orland’s secretary’s arm.
"Carry this."
Meanwhile, the aircraft carrying Hana suddenly received an alarm warning from the control tower at the eastern territory’s border.
"Aircraft XXXXX, land immediately! If you refuse, we will be forced to fire warning shots at random until you land!"
