My Taming System Makes Me Overpowered

Chapter 296: Morning after the Twin moons

  • Next Chapter

The soft, golden amber haze of a late-morning sun filtered lazily through the soaring glass arches of the apex citadel. High above the custom Garden Realm, the twin moons of the previous night had descended beneath the horizon, leaving the sky draped in a peaceful, clear azure. Inside the master bedchambers, the air remained thick, warm, and heavily scented with crushed star-lilies, warm honey, and the rich, intoxicating lingering thrum of Vince’s twilight origin matrix.

The massive obsidian dais in the center of the suite was a chaotic, luxurious sea of tangled dark furs, silver silk sheets, and scattered bolsters. Vince lay reclined at the center of the bed, his back resting against a stack of plush crimson pillows. His broad chest was bare, his dark silk trousers hung low over his hips, and his dark amethyst eyes were calm, clear, and thoroughly satisfied. The purple-black matrix over his heart hummed in a low, gentle pulse—a comforting, rhythmic heartbeat that echoed through the quiet room.

To his right, Vetra was still completely fast asleep. The fierce dragon-kin enforcer was sprawled out on her stomach, her head turned to the side as her face remained buried deeply in the nook of Vince’s waist. Her toned, sculpted back glistened faintly in the warm sunlight, the golden dragon scales along her spine catching the light with a soft shimmer. Her heavy dragon tail was completely limp, draped lazily across Vince’s shins, occasionally giving a tiny, involuntary twitch of profound relaxation.

On Vince’s left, Elena was curled tightly into his side. Her silver hair spilled across his chest like a shimmering curtain of liquid moonlight, tangling with his dark lock. The former chief administrator—once defined by her unyielding posture and clinical discipline—was utterly melted against him, her golden eyes half-lidded as she traced mindless, tiny circles against his ribs with her fingertips.

Solaria sat up slowly near the foot of the bed, stretching her slender arms high above her head. Her golden hair fell in loose, gorgeous waves around her bare shoulders, and her amber eyes blinked sleepily against the light. The twilight mark over her chest glowed with a faint, steady heat, completely aligned with Vince’s pulse. She let out a soft, melodious sigh, turning to look back at Vince with a look of pure, unadulterated worship.

"Good morning, my Sovereign," Solaria whispered softly, her voice husky and warm with residual sleep. She shifted gracefully across the silk sheets, crawling over to rest her cheek against his broad shoulder, her hand gently resting over his chest. "I do not think a single one of us has the strength to stand today. You were... entirely relentless last night."

"Relentless is an understatement," Elena murmured softly, her sweet, breathless voice vibrating against Vince’s ribs. She didn’t bother opening her golden eyes fully, simply leaning up to press a soft, lingering kiss to his collarbone. "My internal metrics indicate that our collective energy reserves have been reduced to zero. If an enemy fleet were to invade right now, I would simply inform them that the chief administrator is currently unavailable due to absolute domestic exhaustion."

Vince let out a dark, low velvet chuckle, his broad hand moving to stroke Elena’s soft silver hair while his other hand anchored securely around Solaria’s waist, pulling her flush against his side.

"If an enemy fleet dared to enter this sector," Vince spoke smoothly, his deep baritone carrying an effortless, possessive gravity, "my twilight matrix would erase them from existence before they could interrupt your rest."

Solaria giggled, a sweet, rich sound that brought a sleepy, irritated grumble from the dragon-kin beside them.

"Keep it down, Sun-Princess..." Vetra mumbled, her voice thick and raspy from the long hours of the festival. She didn’t open her crimson-gold eyes, but her hand reached out blindly across the furs, her claws lightly hooking into Vince’s thigh to pull herself even closer to his warmth. "Some of us danced for six hours straight and then spent another four hours getting completely dismantled by the Sovereign. My hips are officially non-functional."

"You were the one demanding the Sovereign show you no mercy on the dance floor, Vetra," Lyrielle noted softly, stepping into the bedchambers from the terrace archway.

The elven crown princess was barefoot, dressed in a sheer, floor-length gown of pale lilac silk that fluttered gently in the morning breeze. She carried a wide silver tray holding crystal goblets of chilled moon-nectar, warm honeyed rolls, and a bowl of fresh, glowing star-berries. Her violet eyes shone with serene, eternal devotion as she set the tray down on the obsidian bedside table before gliding over to sit at the edge of the dais.

"I brought sustenance," Lyrielle said with a gentle smile, taking a goblet and offering it directly to Vince’s lips. "Though I doubt even celestial nectar can fully restore Vetra’s pride after last night."

Vince took a slow sip of the chilled nectar, his dark gaze never leaving the women surrounding him. He reached out, taking Lyrielle by her wrist and smoothly pulling her down onto the bed alongside Solaria. Lyrielle let out a soft, melodic gasp before settling comfortably across his lap, her silver hair cascading over his legs as she rested her head against Solaria’s shoulder.

From the corner of the bed, a soft, cute rustling emerged from beneath a pile of oversized silk bolsters. Barnaby popped her head out, her silver hair delightfully messy, a giant plush velvet cushion squeezed tightly in her arms. Her golden Lotus Core bloomed with a bright, cheerful radiance, instantly filling the room with the sweet, soothing aroma of fresh lotus blossoms.

"Is it breakfast time?!" Barnaby chirped happily, rubbing her eyes with her small fists before scrambling across the furs to dive directly onto Vince’s chest, hugging his neck tightly. "Vince! I want the star-berries!"

Vince caught the small lotus-nexus easily with one hand, holding her securely against his chest while using his free hand to pick up a glowing star-berry from the tray, popping it into her eager mouth. Barnaby giggled merrily, her feet kicking with joy as she chewed the sweet fruit.

The morning unfolded in a slow, luxurious haze of effortless comfort. There were no battle plans to review, no ancient treaties to negotiate, and no cosmic balance to preserve. The multiverses outside the citadel spun in unbroken, harmonious order, entirely subject to Vince’s unyielding reign. Inside the master bedchambers, the master of existence simply reclined among his furs, feeding his queens sweet fruits, listening to their soft laughter, and indulging in the unending warmth of their absolute devotion.

Elena leaned back against Vince’s shoulder, holding a small piece of honeyed bread between her fingers. She looked out through the grand arches at the peaceful, shimmering landscape of the Garden Realm, a deep sense of contentment settling over her soul.

"No more calculations," Elena whispered softly to herself, a beautiful, rare smile touching her lips.

"No more calculations," Vince agreed smoothly, his dark amethyst eyes locking onto hers as his broad arm tightened around her waist, drawing all five of his consorts closer into his unyielding, possessive embrace. "Only eternity."
