Chapter 850: Beneath The Tablet Of Absolute
Chapter 850: Beneath The Tablet Of Absolute
**** [Random Demon PoV]
The battlefield had already been raging for hours.
Far out in the void, a massive tear in space shimmered like a wound carved into reality itself. The rift stretched wide across the darkness, its edges bleeding unstable colors that twisted and shifted between all kinds of colors. From within its depths came the constant hum of foreign energy pushing against the fabric of the Prime Universe.
A Grade Four rift.
In front of it stood the defensive structures raised by the invading force. Three massive layers of constructs floated across the void, each filled with thousands of abominations and phantoms guarding the entrance. Their grotesque forms drifted and lunged through the battlefield like living storms of corruption.
Closer to the rift itself rose a towering black structure that stood on the layer closest to the rift. The tower stood silent and unmoving while deathmist pulsed through its surface.
The Eternal commander waited inside.
Across the battlefield, a sea of demon warriors clashed with the creatures pouring from the defensive lines. Blazing weapons carved arcs of fire through the darkness while roars of battle echoed through the void. Abominations the size of warships lunged forward with claws dripping corruption while phantoms streaked through the demon ranks like flickering shadows.
High above the battlefield, the demon commander floated alone.
His crimson armor reflected the flashes of battle below as he watched the fight with calm patience. His hands were clasped behind his back, but his fingers had curled tightly into fists.
He was not watching the battle.
He was waiting.
Below him several Grandmasters and Transcendent demon warriors fought with measured restraint, focusing on defensive formations rather than pushing forward.
One of them glanced toward the sky while deflecting the claws of a lunging abomination.
“How long do we keep holding like this?”
Another demon beside him shattered an abomination with a sweeping strike before answering.
“They only told us he was coming today.”
“That was hours ago.”
“Well they didn’t say when today,” the second demon replied grimly. “Just hold the line.”
The first demon growled under his breath.
“Easy for you to say.”
A third voice cut in from nearby.
“Stop complaining and defend the formation. If the commander says wait, we wait.”
The demons tightened their defensive perimeter as another wave of creatures surged toward them.
Above the battlefield, the demon commander suddenly lifted his head.
Something had changed.
A ripple spread across space.
At first it was subtle, like a stone dropped into a silent lake. But the disturbance expanded rapidly, rolling outward through the void in widening waves that distorted the battlefield itself.
Every warrior froze for a fraction of a second. The ripple grew larger and larger. Soon the disturbance spread across the entire battlefield, bending space itself like water.
Even the abominations hesitated. From the black tower near the rift, a tall figure flashed out.
The Eternal commander had sensed it too.
Then space split open.
A vortex formed above the battlefield, its swirling edges twisting with controlled spatial force. The massive gateway stabilized instantly, dwarfing even the largest warships drifting through the void.
From within the vortex, a single figure stepped forward.
A long dark jacket drifted behind him as he floated calmly into open space, its fabric moving like a banner in the void. The design was simple yet striking, flowing down to his knees.
On the back of the jacket burned a single emblem.
Order of Absolute.
For a brief moment the battlefield went quiet.
The demons stared upward.
Then the demon commander exhaled slowly.
“He’s here.”
******* [Billion’s PoV]
I floated silently above the battlefield, my violet eyes scanning the endless swarm of enemies spread across the defensive layers ahead.
Thousands.
No.
Millions.
Abominations.
Phantoms.
And the Eternal commander waiting near the rift. The silver glow flickered briefly around my body before I suppressed it again, forcing the responding essence away from my skin.
“Calm down.” I muttered.
I stepped forward and space folded.
In the blink of an eye I flashed across the battlefield, appearing directly in front of the black tower near the rift.
The Eternal commander stood waiting. His dark black eyes stared at me without blinking and he showed no surprise at my presence. I always found it fascinating that the Eternals hardly showed emotions. They were very mission driven.
For several seconds he simply observed me. Then its voice echoed quietly through the void.
“Billion Ironhart.”
I smiled faintly.
“Veritas Dominus.”
I raised my hand. The sky above the battlefield darkened instantly. Massive violet clouds churned into existence across the void, lightning flashing through their depths as massive amount of essence gathered, dwarfing the entire battlefield.
The battlefield slowed.
Every demon.
Every abomination.
Every phantom.
All of them looked upward.
From within the swirling storm, something massive began descending. An enormous stone tablet emerged from the clouds, ancient and colossal beyond imagination. Its surface was carved with glowing violet inscriptions that pulsed with authority and control over laws.
The tablet descended slowly until it dominated the battlefield.
Even the rift behind the Eternal commander seemed small compared to its presence.
Two massive crimson chains extended from the tablet’s sides, drifting downward through the void before anchoring themselves into space itself as if grounding the ancient structure.
My domain had arrived.
The Eternal commander moved.
Essence surged outward as its law reacted instinctively, attempting to manifest its own domain.
Nothing happened. The energy collapsed.
The Eternal’s head tilted slightly.
“How.”
I looked at it calmly.
“Domains have hierarchy, kid.”
The battlefield froze. Then the destruction began.
Violet lightning exploded from the tablet above, raining across the defensive layers surrounding the rift. Entire formations of abominations evaporated instantly, their corrupted bodies dissolving into pure essence before they could even scream.
Phantoms disintegrated as waves of violet energy swept through them like cleansing fire. Across the battlefield the entire Eternal army began collapsing.
Millions of enemies vanished in silent bursts of light.
The Eternal commander stood motionless as its army was erased around it.
It could do nothing.
Within my domain, its authority had been completely suppressed. The waves of destruction continued until nothing remained.
The defensive structures shattered. The tower disintegrated. The abominations and phantoms were reduced to raw essence that flowed toward me like rivers of light.
I absorbed it all, sending it straight toward the abyss core.
Only the rift remained. Below me, the demon army still floated across the battlefield.
I raised my hand again and a ripple passed, space folded once more.
In a single instant every demon warrior vanished, teleported safely back to their staging zone far beyond the battlefield.
The void fell silent. Then enormous runes began forming around the rift.
One massive formation above it.
Another below.
The glowing symbols rotated slowly as they locked onto the unstable tear in space.
The rift resisted.
For a moment I felt another presence pushing from the other side, a distant force attempting to keep the gateway open.
I chuckled softly.
“Relax.”
The runes ignited.
Reality sealed itself shut. The rift collapsed with a thunderous ripple. As the tear vanished completely, I glanced toward the empty space where the resistance had come from.
“I’ll come find you.”
