My Talent's Name Is Generator
Chapter 1282: The Change 2
The realization filled him with a mixture of relief and astonishment. Billion had left the battlefield to pursue his own path, and Amun had known that the young man intended to increase his strength as quickly as possible, but he had not expected him to cross such an important threshold so soon.
More importantly, the breakthrough had not stopped with the change in realm.
Aurora’s lightning storm continued expanding, her elemental power becoming increasingly violent as her body adapted to the new level. Silver’s metallic feathers shone with an even brighter radiance, while Ash’s aura continued to climb as though his breakthrough had opened a reservoir of power that had been sealed away.
Their advancement was explosive, and even the Eternals who had initially believed they could contain them began to reconsider their positions.
After several moments, the surging auras finally stabilized.
Aurora looked down at her hands, where blue-white lightning flickered between her fingers, and then raised her gaze toward the Eternal standing before her. The man’s earlier confidence had disappeared, replaced by a guarded expression as he sensed the difference between them.
She smiled again, this time without the playful uncertainty that had accompanied her earlier words.
"Now," she said softly, "I can definitely kill you."
The Eternal immediately gathered his Lightning Origin, forming a defensive barrier around his body, but Aurora had already moved.
She took a single step forward.
A deafening thunderclap erupted across the void, and her figure disappeared in a flash of silver-blue lightning. The Eternal barely had time to widen his eyes before she appeared directly in front of him, her right arm already extended toward his head.
His defenses shattered before they could fully form.
Aurora’s hand pierced through his skull and emerged from the back of his head, lightning flickering wildly between her fingers as she grasped his brain. The Eternal’s body jerked once, his lightning storm collapsing around him as the life within his eyes vanished.
She withdrew her hand and allowed the lifeless body to explode. Before the origin of the eternal and his soul could escape she snapped her finger and with a lightning strike they were obliterated as well.
The entire exchange had lasted less than a second.
Aurora glanced at the corpse with mild disappointment before turning toward the remaining battlefield, where the sounds of combat had already resumed. The Eternal had believed that three days of fighting had proven they were equals, but he had failed to understand that the battle had changed the moment her realm advanced.
The balance of the battlefield changed dramatically with the arrival of three new Middle Demi-Gods. What had been a prolonged struggle between two forces of unequal strength suddenly turned into a decisive victory for the Prime Universe, as Aurora, Silver, and Ash began pushing their opponents back with overwhelming force.
The Eternals had prepared for a long war of attrition, believing their superior numbers would eventually exhaust the defenders, but they had never anticipated such a sudden change in the enemy’s strength.
Aurora moved through the void like a storm given human form, her lightning tearing through every defense her opponent attempted to raise. Silver swept across the battlefield with his enormous wings, each movement unleashing spatial fluctuations that trapped enemies before they could escape, while Ash pressed forward relentlessly, using his newly increased strength to break through the defenses that had once held him back.
Their advancement did more than strengthen three individual fighters; it created openings across the entire battlefield, allowing the other Demi-Gods of the Prime Universe to coordinate their attacks and exploit every weakness in the enemy formation.
Within a short period, five more Demi-Gods fell.
Some were killed while attempting to protect their retreating allies, while others were caught between the coordinated attacks of several Prime Universe defenders and destroyed before they could escape.
The remaining Eternals and their allied Demi-Gods finally abandoned the battlefield altogether, retreating toward the spatial rifts that connected the war zone to their territories. None attempted to hold their positions, and none dared to turn back once they reached the passages.
Then, for the first time in countless years, silence descended upon the ancient battlefield.
The broken void stretched endlessly in every direction, filled with shattered planets, fragments of stars, and the remnants of countless battles. The oppressive auras that had once covered the region were gone, leaving behind only the faint fluctuations of ancient Laws and Origins embedded within the ruins.
This place had witnessed the rise and fall of countless Demi-Gods, yet never before had it been completely emptied of Eternals and the forces aligned with them.
Amun floated quietly in the void, surrounded by the surviving Demi-Gods of the Prime Universe. Defender Aurora, the Dragon Sovereign, the Naga Matriarch, Essari Sovereign, and the others had gathered nearby, but none of them immediately spoke. They had won a victory that would have seemed impossible only a few days earlier, and yet the sudden absence of their enemies left them with an unfamiliar feeling.
Before anyone could break the silence, a notification sounded in the minds of every Demi-God except Amun and Billion’s summons.
The System’s voice echoed clearly through their consciousness, announcing that the Eternals’ forces had started retreating through the spatial rifts. The notification confirmed what everyone could already sense, but hearing the System acknowledge their victory made the moment feel strangely final.
Her words seemed to pull Amun out of his thoughts. He slowly turned toward the assembled Demi-Gods, his expression returning to its usual calmness as he began issuing orders.
"I will remain here," he said. "The rest of you should spread across the galaxy and hunt down as many Phantoms and Abominations as possible. Capture any Eternals you encounter and hand them over to the System. We have spent countless years defending this universe, and now we finally have the opportunity to turn the pressure back on our enemies. Don’t waste it."
The Demi-Gods exchanged glances before nodding in agreement. None questioned his decision, for they understood that Amun had his own reasons for remaining behind. One after another, they departed, their figures disappearing into the vast void as they moved toward different regions of the ancient battlefield. Soon, even their auras faded from Amun’s perception, leaving him alone among the ruins.
For a long time, Amun remained motionless, staring into the empty darkness where the Eternals’ forces had once gathered. The victory had been significant, but his thoughts had already moved beyond the battlefield and toward the distant brother who was responsible for all this.
A faint smile appeared on his face.
"Have you started your final preparation, brother?" he murmured into the silence. "Then allow me to accompany you until the end."
With those words, Amun slowly folded his legs and sat down in the void, closing his eyes as his aura began to settle around him. Crimson chains emerged from his body, spreading through the surrounding darkness before extending toward distant regions of the Prime Universe. They multiplied by the thousands, then by the millions, forming an intricate network that stretched beyond the boundaries of the battlefield.
The chains trembled faintly as they connected with something far beyond ordinary perception.
Amun remained seated at their center, his expression peaceful and resolute, while the crimson network continued expanding around him. The battlefield had fallen silent, but the war itself was far from over.
