My Talent Skill Mutated
Chapter 450: Crisis
Chapter 450: Chapter 207: Crisis
The Space Law was suffused with immense spatial power.
At this moment, Chen Yu could clearly perceive the fluctuations in space.
Five Laws swirled around him, and the Divine Power within his body had grown significantly.
Although his cultivation realm hadn’t changed, his actual strength had increased massively.
By mastering a single Law, the amplification from the Power of Laws he wielded increased severalfold.
That surging Power of Laws was enough to shatter anything.
Not only that, but with his mastery of the Space Law, his Divine Domain was also expanding wildly.
It had expanded by several times.
The change was even greater than when he had mastered the other Laws.
‘A Supreme Law… it’s truly on another level.’ Chen Yu clicked his tongue. Having mastered the Space Law on the strength of his foundation, he was now one step closer to the Nine Laws.
The five Laws intertwined, seeming like a single entity, yet they remained clearly distinct.
‘I wonder if I can master the Thunder Law…’ Calming himself, Chen Yu fixed his gaze on the orb of Divine Power before him.
The Laws around his body dissipated. With a single thought, he released the constrained Thunder Law.
RUMBLE—!!!
A deafening clap of thunder rang out, like the roar of Celestial Thunder and the bellow of Divine Thunder.
The Thunder Law coiled above his head as dazzling lightning wrapped around his body.
Terrifying arcs of lightning continuously scoured his flesh and bone.
It was as if every inch of his body was being reforged.
However, given the resilience of his physical body, this level of lightning could hardly affect him.
Sitting cross-legged in the void of his Divine Domain, Chen Yu devoted his entire being to comprehending the Thunder Law.
…
Time flew, and April passed in the blink of an eye.
「Ancestor Star, Capital City.」
Deep within the inner city, in a top-floor office of a high-rise, a group of figures was deep in discussion.
“This situation is dire. Our strength is nowhere near enough. We’ll probably have to ask the Divine Hall for help and request that a Supreme intervene.”
A bald, middle-aged man in the office spoke, his expression grave.
The moment he finished, another middle-aged man spoke up. “Director Xu is right. The situation with this Space-Time Anomaly is already beyond our control. We’ve barely managed to seal it, but that won’t hold for long. If we don’t call for aid, the seal will shatter and the monsters inside will swarm out. For the entire Ancestor Star, that would be an apocalyptic disaster.”
“We’ve already suffered significant losses. This must be resolved immediately.”
“Elder Xu, what are your thoughts?”
A middle-aged man in gold-rimmed glasses asked, looking toward the white-haired old man seated at the head of the table.
The gazes of the others also turned to him.
The white-haired elder contemplated for a moment. “The situation has changed,” he said. “The Divine Hall’s forces have been deployed elsewhere. Other than the Supremes left to stand guard, most have been sent to the Outer Domain. We won’t be getting any reinforcements anytime soon.”
At these words, the office fell silent.
The atmosphere grew tense.
“I do have one idea, though I’m not sure if it will work,” an old man suddenly said.
Upon hearing this, the dozen or so people in the room immediately turned their gazes to the old man in the tunic suit who had spoken.
“Dean Feng, this is no time for games. If you have something to say, just say it. Stop trying to build suspense,” the bald middle-aged man said.
The old man in the tunic suit rose. “Have you all forgotten? We still have a True God here on the Ancestor Star.”
???
Hearing this, everyone was taken aback.
The old man in the tunic suit continued, “What, has everyone already forgotten about Supreme Chen?”
At his words, everyone’s pupils shrank. They instantly realized who Dean Feng was talking about.
Chen Yu!
The youngest Supreme in the Human Race today.
The one hailed as having the potential to become a Great Emperor.
‘That’s right! How could we have forgotten about him?’ everyone thought, a look of dawning realization and joy spreading across their faces. The bald man looked at Dean Feng and said, “Dean Feng, if I remember correctly, Supreme Chen came from your Jingzhou Academy, didn’t he? You must have a good relationship with him. Could you please ask the Supreme to intervene and handle this matter?”
Hearing this, the others immediately voiced their agreement.
But Dean Feng shook his head. “Supreme Chen did indeed come from Jingzhou Academy, but I received word that he has entered seclusion. It’s been more than half a year. I have no confidence that I’ll be able to persuade him to come out.”
At his words, everyone’s expressions faltered.
The office once again fell into a brief silence.
“Dean Feng, no matter what, you must give it a try,” the white-haired elder at the head of the table said, breaking the silence as he fixed his cloudy eyes on Dean Feng. “The safety of the entire Ancestor Star is at stake. Even if we disturb the Supreme’s seclusion, I believe he will not be angry.”
Dean Feng sighed. “Fine. I’ll do my best. Wait for my news. I will have an answer in three days at the latest.”
With that said, he left the office.
Hearing this, everyone collectively breathed a sigh of relief.
…
‘I don’t know if this will work… Right, I should call Dongfang Yao. That girl is on great terms with Chen Yu. This might be my chance.’
Walking out of the office, Dean Feng paused to think in the hallway, and a person immediately came to mind. He promptly made the call.
Soon, a voice came from the other end of the line.
“Dean, what’s wrong?” Dongfang Yao’s voice came from the other end of the wrist-communicator.
Dean Feng forced a smile and asked gently, “Xiaoyao, how has your cultivation been recently?”
“It’s going okay. I’ve made some progress,” Dongfang Yao’s voice replied.
Dean Feng chuckled. “Progress is good. You have excellent talent. Given time, you’ll surely catch up to Chen Yu.”
…
After a moment of silence on the other end of the communicator, Dongfang Yao finally spoke up. “Dean, I’m sure you called for another reason, right?”
Dean Feng laughed. “You sly girl. What, can’t a dean just check in on his student?”
Dongfang Yao: “…”
“But you are right, there is actually one thing I need your help with.”
“Go ahead, Dean. I’m listening,” Dongfang Yao’s voice came again.
Dean Feng smiled. “Where are you?”
“I’m in the Capital City, Dean. I’m cultivating in the manor near Brother Yu’s,” Dongfang Yao replied.
Hearing this, Dean Feng’s eyes lit up. “Excellent. Send me the address. I’ll head over immediately. This is something we need to discuss in person.”
“Okay,” Dongfang Yao agreed. The call disconnected, and a moment later, a message arrived on Dean Feng’s wrist-communicator.
Looking at the message, Dean Feng immediately leaped into the air, launching himself from the thirtieth floor and vanishing into the sky.
…
In just over ten minutes, Dean Feng arrived at a mountainside manor on the outskirts of the Capital City.
When he arrived at the manor, he saw the figure of a young woman—it was Dongfang Yao.
A smile spread across Dean Feng’s face when he saw Dongfang Yao.
“Please come in, Dean.” Dongfang Yao immediately opened the gate to welcome him, and Dean Feng entered the manor with a cheerful laugh.
He swept his gaze around, and his eyes landed on a quiet manor partway up the mountain in the distance.
“Dean, you didn’t really come here to see me, did you?” Dongfang Yao said, pursing her lips as she observed his expression.
At her words, Dean Feng quickly retracted his gaze. He looked at Dongfang Yao with a broad smile. “What are you talking about? Your dean hasn’t seen you in a long time. I just wanted to stop by and see how much progress you’ve made.”
Dongfang Yao gave a helpless shrug.
