Chapter 431 - 188: Gate of Hell, Cosmic Will

Staring at the panel, Chen Yu fell into deep thought.

So far, he still had three abilities that had yet to be awakened.

Lord of the Undead, Destructive Celestial Light, and... God’s Will!

He had used these three abilities quite often before becoming a True God.

But after his ascension, the three of them had become rather useless.

Although Destructive Celestial Light could unleash terrifying power with his current strength, against a True God, it could at best only break their defense. It was impossible to actually harm one.

As for God’s Will, he hadn’t used it at all since becoming a True God.

’Now that I’m a god, how much combat power can God’s Will even add?’

’If anything, it might even weaken my combat strength.’

However, if God’s Will were to be evolved, things might be different.

After careful consideration, Chen Yu decided to shatter Destructive Celestial Light to upgrade God’s Will.

’This Skill isn’t much help to me anyway.’

’Perhaps after its Skill Awakening, my strength will actually increase.’

’A Skill Awakening is a major transformation, after all.’

"Shatter the Skill, Destructive Celestial Light?!"

A prompt appeared. Chen Yu made his decision without hesitation.

"BOOM—!"

In the next instant, a roar echoed from within his body. Inside the Chaos, the orb of light representing Destructive Celestial Light was instantly annihilated, turning into nothingness.

[Shatter successful. Obtained 480 Skill Points!]

"Four hundred and eighty points."

"That many?!"

Seeing the number of Skill Points he got from shattering the Skill, Chen Yu was momentarily stunned, but he quickly calmed down.

’After all, I did raise this Skill to its ultimate level. Getting four hundred and eighty Skill Points from shattering it is pretty reasonable.’

’Hmm, with this, I can awaken both Lord of the Undead and God’s Will at once.’

He checked the Skill Points required for the two Skills. Together, they cost exactly five hundred and forty points.

The four hundred and eighty points from shattering the Skill, plus the sixty he had accumulated, was the perfect amount.

"Awaken!"

With a single thought, Chen Yu chose to awaken the Lord of the Undead Skill first.

’Awakening an Epic Skill... this is a significant upgrade.’

Inside the Chaos, the orb of light expanded rapidly to its limit, then quickly collapsed.

A brand-new orb of light emerged.

[Awakening successful. Skill has broken its limit—Hell’s Gate!]

"Hell’s Gate..."

Chen Yu’s eyes flashed as he looked at the notification for the awakened Skill.

’That name sounds pretty impressive.’

He then opened the detailed Skill description to inspect it.

[Skill: Hell’s Gate (Conceptual Immortal) - Summons the Gate of Hell. Sacrifice your own Divine Power to summon beings from Hell to fight for you. They will obey you completely...]

"Holy shit, this is insane!!"

Chen Yu’s heart couldn’t help but pound as he read the Skill’s information.

He could sacrifice Divine Power to summon beings from Hell to fight for him, and there was no limit to their number.

’My god, what kind of ability is this? A one-man army!’

As long as he had enough Divine Power, he could summon an unlimited number of beings from Hell to fight for him.

Although there was a time limit—the summoned beings from Hell only lasted for one day—it was still terrifyingly powerful.

’I wonder if my Divine Power is enough to summon a True God Level being from Hell...’

The thought flashed through Chen Yu’s mind.

According to the Skill description, it should be possible. However, he’d have to try it to know for sure if he could summon a True God Level existence.

’I’ll awaken God’s Will first, then give it a try.’ Suppressing the thought, Chen Yu continued to spend his remaining Skill Points to awaken God’s Will.

Inside the Chaos, an orb of light expanded and compressed, and a brand-new one emerged.

[Awakening successful. Skill has broken its limit—Cosmic Will!]

"Cosmic Will..."

Looking at the Skill information, Chen Yu checked its details.

[Skill: Cosmic Will (Conceptual Legend) - Receive an amplification from the supreme will of the cosmos, gaining the blessing of cosmic power...]

’Amplification from the supreme will of the cosmos, blessing of cosmic power... This Skill was definitely worth awakening!’

Chen Yu was overjoyed as he read the Skill’s information.

Although he didn’t know how much of a boost he would get, based on the description, the amplification was bound to be significant.

The previous God’s Will was already formidable enough. He could imagine how powerful the current Cosmic Will would be, even without trying it.

However, just like God’s Will, besides the consumption of his Spirit, Essence, and Qi, his own will would also be dominated by the descending Cosmic Will.

But with his current mental fortitude, it was hard to say if there would be any major side effects.

He would only know for sure after trying it.

Shattering one Skill in exchange for two ridiculously powerful awakened Skills. This was a total steal.

His consciousness returned, and Chen Yu looked at his panel again.

Name: Chen Yu

Talent: Infinite Physique (Divine Tier Three 0/6 Trillion) [Unique Talent]

Skills: Frozen World (Awakened Legend Level 6 0/1 Trillion), Life Force Field (Awakened Immortal Level 4 0/200 Billion), Cosmic Will (Conceptual Legend Level 1 0/80 Billion), God Speed (Awakened Mythical Level 4 0/900 Billion), Forest of All Things (Awakened Mythical Level 3 0/100 Billion), Hell’s Gate (Conceptual Immortal Level 1 0/10 Billion), Divine Dragon Power (Awakened Immortal Level 3 0/200 Billion), Divine Power (Conceptual Immortal Level 3 0/900 Billion), Mark of the Heavenly Veil (Awakened Legend Level 2 0/100 Billion), Black Cosmos Power (Awakened Legend Level 4 0/1 Trillion)

Source of Life: 59,587

Skill Points: None!

’The first level requires this much Source of Life?’ Chen Yu frowned as he looked at the panel.

Of the two awakened Skills, Hell’s Gate was still reasonable. But the cost to level up Cosmic Will was frankly insane.

The first level alone required eighty billion Source of Life.

’The second level will probably cost hundreds of billions.’

’Hmm, once I’ve rested up and the Starry Sky Ancient City is stable, I’ll pay a visit to those Alien Race home bases.’

The thought flashed through Chen Yu’s mind, and he immediately withdrew from his Divine Domain.

He closed his eyes, feeling the surging power of his Tier Three Divine Body.

This time, his improvement had been enormous.

Once he fully digested his gains, he could go settle the score with the three Alien Race Venerables who had fled before.

He would attack their home bases directly.

’Slaying members of the Alien Race to obtain Source of Life? With my current strength, it couldn’t be easier.’

Although there were the restrictions of the Ten Thousand Races, as long as he killed a True God Venerable, the gains wouldn’t be much different from wiping out an entire Alien Race home base.

As for the rules of the Ten Thousand Races, while he couldn’t act unscrupulously just yet, once he grew strong enough, he would one day completely shatter those bullshit rules.

’If the Human Race of the Daluo Star System and the Central Empire can dominate the heavens, why can’t the Human Race of the Celestial River System?’

’If worst comes to worst, I’ll just slaughter my way through the Ten Thousand Races!’

In the face of absolute strength, everything else is meaningless.

...

A few days passed quickly, and the Starry Sky Ancient City had more or less fully recovered.

With the help of several True Gods, all of its defenses were restored to their original state.

At this moment, Chen Yu and the others were gathered in a grand hall deep within the Ancient City.

They were preparing to discuss the invitations for Chen Yu’s ascension, planning to hold a True God convention and invite the Venerables of the Human Race Alliance to attend.

Although Chen Yu wasn’t interested in a True God convention, he couldn’t refuse Feng Miaotian and the others. He decided to just go with it. Besides, he didn’t need to worry about the details; the Human Race would handle the arrangements, and all he had to do was show up.
