My Taboo Harem!
Chapter 1230: Fractions of a Fraction of a Second!
The Demons remained farther out, black corruption rolling from them in slow tides.
They hovered above his ice with the effortless arrogance of beings for whom gravity had become an old childhood problem. Some remained hundreds of meters overhead, others changed altitude whenever they pleased, forcing Phei to raise ice beneath himself or bend frozen currents through the air if he wanted comparable positioning.
He was not flying; though, while Phei could control enough ice to build himself a throne in the clouds, create a staircase across half of Anarctica or carry himself upon a rising glacier, but if the ice beneath him vanished, gravity would still remember his address unless he void stepped away.
The World Transcendents did not possess that inconvenience.
"Show-offs," he muttered.
Eira glanced down. "Master?"
Consort stood on the opposite side of the battlefield.
She had left the Titan’s crown and now hovered several hundred meters away, one hand resting upon the hilt of her katana while her dark hair streamed around her. Her expression had regained its composure after the shock of Danton’s disappearance, though her gaze moved between Phei and the Chained with considerably more tension than before.
Eira occupied the space above Phei.
Consort held the other side.
And between them stood a nineteen-year-old Master Stage cultivator whose hair had gone white, whose eyes had become Void-Ice and whose control was quietly swallowing the winter beneath the feet of eleven beings who could kill him several times over before breakfast.
Phei understood the absurdity perfectly.
Infinity Control looked magnificent.
There was this intoxicating sensation in reaching outward and feeling Anarctica answer, so much Phei could sense fractures within distant glaciers before they opened.
Yet none of that changed the cultivation gulf.
He could command an ocean of ice but the World Transcendents could smash through that ocean with a snap.
The two Vampires had already proven it.
They had attacked him when they saw what he’d done to the behemoth (whatever he’d done), the same time the Undead Queen did too... and Phei had attacked the two vampires after the death attack and and tried to bury them beneath enough compressed frost to pulverize ordinary Saint cultivators but the female Vampire had simply torn through it and the male had followed a heartbeat later creating a loud, both vampires were moving so quickly Phei barely managed to react before their claws entered striking distance.
Their hands had only been lost because the Undead Queen; but that trick would not surprise them twice. The Blood Elf’s wings alone could probably rip apart several of Phei’s frozen mountains.
The Naga’s pressure could crush his ice out of the sky and the Behemoth-Dwarf...
Phei’s gaze finally descended toward the enormous crater beneath him; silence had developed around that particular piece of the battlefield.
The sight inside was horrific.
The Half Behemoth-Dwarf lay sprawled within the shattered depths, his gigantic body embedded so deeply into Anactica that the crater walls climbed around him like the edges of a collapsed valley. Broken chains rested across his torso, and several massive limbs had disappeared partly beneath pulverized ice.
He was alive.
Very alive, unfortunately for everyone forced to watch what his body was doing.
Blood leaked from his big nose that could as well be underground sewage, ears and mouth in thick streams of blood. More had begun appearing from the corners of his enormous eyes. His monstrous vitality continued pumping through the empty gigantic body even though the soul that should have commanded it was no longer there.
The worst reaction was lower.
Phei had looked once and immediately regretted possessing perception.
The Behemoth-Dwarf’s manhood had become violently engorged from whatever impossible desire Lust Reality had seized during the soul extraction. It stood rigid against the giant’s body, radiating enough heat that steam rolled continuously from it into the frozen air before its skin began splitting and an ugly red fissure appeared near the tip and slowly crawled downward.
Heat built beneath the flesh until actual smoke began curling from between the tears of his cock, while blood seeped from the ruptures and joined the darker streams leaking from nearly every opening across the giant’s body.
Several of the male World Transcendents looked down and their expressions changed.
The Naga’s tail curled slightly tighter beneath him.
One Demon instinctively shifted his stance and male Vampire actually lowered one hand toward his own groin before apparently realizing everyone could see him and pretending he had merely been adjusting his coat.
Phei stared in horror. "That is the worst fucking thing I have ever seen."
Eira had also been looking yet for once, she possessed no immediate joke.
The fairy slowly turned her eyes toward Phei.
"Master..."
"I know."
"What exactly did you do to him?"
"I don’t fucking know."
Eira looked down again as another burst of steam escaped the crater.
Phei’s face twisted. "And I don’t want to know anymore."
They had both seen worse things, Eira certainly had, yet something about watching an enormous man’s private parts begin cooking themselves from the inside possessed a unique spiritual cruelty.
The explanation for the Behemoth-Dwarf’s collapse, however, was far more important than the unfortunate condition of his anatomy.
Eira had been staring at Phei ever since the giant fell.
She understood Void perhaps better than anyone currently standing in Anarctica and she had watched Phei awaken Void-Ice, develop Infinity Control, and she’d know when he’d dot his first Void abilities and also knew when he evolved Minimal Void Sense into True Void Sense and turn his crude Void Step into True Void Steps.
Yet even Eira did not know how deeply those abilities had started changing the way Phei perceived reality, not that she didn’t know how OP they were.. she did since she was almost a child of void, she didn’t know however how they’d changed because it was Phei who possessed them and had went beyond what she expected him to possess at his current level and understanding of the Void.
Phei himself was only beginning to understand to insane his abilities were.
True Void Sense no longer felt like another sense layered upon sight, hearing or spiritual perception:
It felt like the Void had opened its eyes inside him.
Once he allowed the perception to spread, physical structures ceased appearing complete. Barriers became lattices, domains became overlapping fields and Space itself revealed more than tiny discontinuities hidden between coordinates, minute regions where one law ended before Absolute Void fully began.
There were spatial interstices, infinitesimal seams between one occupied position and another.
There were null lacunae; pockets so small ordinary space ignored them entirely... there were hollow sutures, the invisible joins where barriers stitched their internal law against the greater fabric of reality.
And sometimes there were deeper things, thin Void-veins running beneath the world like black rivers no ordinary perception could touch.
True Void Steps used those very places.
Phei had originally thought the ability simply carried him through the Void but that description had become laughably incomplete.
He did not just travel through ordinary distance at all.
For the briefest interval, Phei could surrender his position; his body, essence and presence slipped into the hollow beneath space, entering a state where the ordinary world no longer possessed a coordinate by which to describe him. He was not at the beginning point, nor was he moving conventionally toward the destination.
For that tiny interval, Phei belonged to the Void.
That was why enemies could not sense him properly during True Void Steps.
There was nothing occupying ordinary space to sense and Phei being who he was, he had privately begun calling that moment the Void-State.
The name sounded embarrassingly plain compared with the ridiculous grandeur cultivation abilities usually demanded, but he had invented it during this battle and now the stupid thing had stuck.
But the Half Behemoth-Dwarf had taught Phei his limitation.
Phei’s first attempt to emerge beside the giant had failed catastrophically because the monster’s corporeal pressure domain compressed the spatial interstices around his body until almost no usable hollow remained. The transition point rejected Phei and threw him back into ordinary reality.
At first, that should have ended the strategy but then his True Void Sense showed him something beautiful.
The Behemoth-Dwarf’s field/barrier was monstrously dense but it was not perfect.
Nothing created through exertion of physical might was!
Every heartbeat changed the pressure.... every breath altered the density around his chest.... every flex of those absurd muscles sent ripples through the corporeal domain, and wherever two pressure waves collided, something akin to microscopic fault lines appeared for fractions of a fraction of a second.
Little hollows... null seams... openings in the domain too small to seen, sensed or even matter to anyone else.
Phei was not anyone else.
