My Taboo Harem!
Chapter 1207: Sienna’s Breakthrough
The bedroom had become so quiet after Phei left.
Sienna remained where he had tucked her beneath the covers, sitting against the pillows with her dark hair spilling over one shoulder and the lingering warmth of his last kiss still resting against her forehead. Somewhere else within their present residence, Phei had disappeared into whatever business had pulled him away, while the others occupied their own rooms.
The silence here felt unusually complete, enough that every small sound carried farther than it should have.
Her violet eyes had been returning to the closed door once and again before Sienna had eventually noticed what she was doing and frowned faintly.
"Annoying."
The insult possessed very little conviction.
Her fingers rose toward the place where his touch still seemed to remain, paused near her cheek and then lowered again before she could embarrass herself further. She had already spent enough time indulging feelings that had decided several that tens of thousands of years of divine composure were optional whenever Phei Ryujin Tiamat kissed her.
More importantly, he had left something behind far more valuable than warmth:
His essence was still inside her.
After sometime Sienna drew the blankets away, she folded her legs beneath herself and settled into a proper cultivation pose at the center of the bed. Her spine straightened naturally while both hands rested over her knees, palms turned upward, and the softness lingering in her expression gradually disappeared beneath the ancient stillness that belonged to the Nether Goddess.
She closed her eyes.
The world changed with her first breath.
Black-violet Nether Essence stirred somewhere deep within her cultivation and rose in slow currents, rolling through her body like a hidden sea answering the pull of a distant moon. Thin strands escaped through her fingertips first, winding around her wrists before climbing her arms before spreading outward into the bedroom:
She was in control and didnt let it go further.
Death Energy followed.
It carried a colder presence and so dense enough that the temperature around the bed fell almost immediately but Sienna didnt let it go far from her room. The nearest lamps dimmed without extinguishing, shadows beneath the furniture deepened, and a vase of fresh flowers resting across the room began losing color as the first touch of Death brushed over them.
Sienna sensed it instantly; the wandering Death Energy stopped, it reversed course, peeling away from the flowers and returning toward her in narrow black-violet streams.
The petals remained slightly pale but they had not withered.
Sienna’s breathing remained steady.
A short time ago before Phei, such leakage would have continued until she consciously noticed the damage around her. Her body and cultivation had carried too much returning of her divinity for her present foundation to handle, forcing Nether and Death through every weakness in the her whenever her concentration slipped.
Now the power obeyed before destruction became necessary.
That alone was progress.
Sienna turned her awareness inward.
She found the Young Dragon’s uncultivated Essence immediately.
His essence had settled throughout her body in countless traces, warm against the vast coldness of her own cultivation and energies. The Cosmic Dragon’s essence lingered within her flesh and blood, carrying a vitality so dense that every pulse of it seemed almost offensively alive beside her Nether and Death.
His Soul Energy too rested deeper, already threading itself through regions of her spiritual foundation ordinary essence could never have touched and her very ancient Soul, while faint remnants of Primordial Blood Essence too had sunk into her body and begun blending with her vitality.
Sienna had even once expected her power to resist him since her Nether had spent ages devouring foreign essence.
Even Divine energy known for their potency entering her body was usually broken apart, eroded and stripped of whatever identity it once possessed until only something corrupted remained; even power offered willingly by beings she trusted could be treated like an intruder until she forced her Nether to accept it.
Phei had entered once and Nether had welcomed him.
Sienna’s eyelid twitched; somewhere beneath conscious thought, the vast darkness inside her seemed almost satisfied by his presence:
"Of course."
Apparently even her Nether had become shameless like her.
Of course, if Phei had already awakened everything he was supposed to be, she wouldnt have doubted.
She ignored the betrayal and began refining.
She started slowly like she’d done yesterday: Sienna drew only a thread of Cosmic Dragon essence from where it had settled within her body and guided it through the deeper channels of her cultivation. Nether Essence immediately closed around it, black-violet currents winding tightly through the warm Dragon power as the two moved together.
The Dragon essence flowed through her body and began nourishing and strengthen and mending everything it touched.
Warmth entered muscle first, then sank into bone, organs and blood.
Sienna’s mortal weak body had endured years of being forced to contain the reirncanation of the Nether Goddess, and that strain had left countless minute weaknesses in her body that had never been meant to hold so much divinity this early.
Phei’s essence had found those places and nourished them yesterday but that didnt mean she was fully healed either.
Her muscles tightened beneath the sheets as the Dragon essence passed through, filling every strand with vitality before Nether And Death followed and tempered that vitality into something colder and heavier. Her bones began absorbing the refinement next, a faint violet-black sheen spreading through their inner structure while Death Essence passed repeatedly over them and stripped away weakness.
The process felt disturbingly natural it still baffled her even now.
Sienna opened her eyes for a moment, there was faint glow that appeared beneath her skin, black-violet at first, but threaded through with narrow veins of crimson-amethyst brilliance with something dark and yet brilliant cold, white and golden hued.
Phei’s essence.
She watched it pulse once beneath her wrist before closing her eyes again.
This time she drew more; Nether and Death surged at once.
Black-Violet currents swept through her entire body as her cultivation began cycling in earnest. Death Energy moved between those currents in cold spirals while Phei’s Dragon essence remained at their center, being refined without losing the vitality that made it so valuable.
Her body responded greedily.
Every circulation deepened the tempering:
Her flesh became denser and stronger.
Her muscles compressed beneath refinement of her body that was already so strong until the strength began climbing beyond what her current cultivation should have contained.
Her bones, tendons and constitution hardened further while black-violet divinity soaked into their marrow, and her blood grew richer with every passing cycle, each heartbeat carrying an increasingly heavy pressure through the bedroom.
The mattress sank slightly beneath her.
The bedframe gave a faint groan.
Sienna continued.
His Dragon essence nourished her physique while Nether and Death refined it into a form her body could keep. His Soul Energy moved through deeper layers, binding flesh and spiritual foundation more tightly together while his Primordial Blood contributed something stranger, an ancient vitality that her Death Essence repeatedly stripped, purified and incorporated without destroying:
Then something shifted through their bond.
Sienna’s cultivation slowed for half a breath.
The change had come from Phei.
At first it was only a faint disturbance, a strange hollowness trembling along the connection between their souls. Sienna had become accustomed to Phei’s presence through Dual-Nether Souls; even without deliberately reaching toward him, she could feel the distant warmth of his soul sitting elsewhere within the residence, steady and irritatingly alive.
Now that presence suddenly deepened but the sensation had nothing to do with his cultivation realm rising.
Something beneath his Void had opened.
Sienna’s violet eyes opened.
Black-violet Nether continued circling her body while she remained perfectly still, listening through the bond.
The Void around Phei felt different.
Before, his Void-Ice had carried a recognizable nature despite its strangeness. Cold, emptiness and that peculiar black-white absence belonged to him so completely that Sienna could recognize its touch almost immediately.
But this was deeper.
The hollowness expanded around his soul until, for one strange moment, even her connection to him seemed to pass through a place where distance had forgotten how to exist.
Sienna’s gaze sharpened.
"Phei..."
Far away within the same residence, something inside his Void had just crossed a threshold.
She could feel his awareness spreading.
It was difficult to describe through a soul bond, but his presence suddenly seemed to reach outward in all directions at once, touching the surrounding world through an entirely different perception. The faint disturbances surrounding him became clearer, then clearer still, until the newly awakened sense carried enough depth that even Sienna’s Nether reacted and the Death Energy paused around her.
The Nether mist beneath the bed sank lower.
Something in Phei had opened its eyes.
Sienna remained silent for several breaths before understanding what she was sensing.
His Void perception had evolved.
Whatever weak, newly awakened sense he possessed earlier had been pushed into something vastly more complete. The difference carried through their soul connection so clearly that Sienna could almost feel his consciousness stretching across the residence, passing through walls and physical obstructions as though ordinary matter had become little more than scenery.
A faint smile touched her lips.
"That idiot has been has touched the essence of the Void."
He had kissed her goodnight, told her he would be gone for an hour or slightly longer, then apparently wandered off to improve his Void while she was supposed to sleep.
Sienna was beginning to suspect neither of them understood the purpose of resting.
Another surge came from him shortly afterward.
This one was sharper and for the briefest instant, Phei’s presence flickered.
Sienna’s smile disappeared.
He remained connected to her soul, but his physical position seemed to vanish from the world before returning elsewhere with such immediacy.
