What started as a mere suspicion for Zoe Sawyer was now a certainty after seeing this evidence.

"Henry Crowe, be straight with us and things will go easier for you. You haven’t actually laid a hand on Arthur Yates, so there’s still a chance to walk this back," Heath Hale said, looking at Henry. "I don’t think Aidan Osborne would want to see you end up in prison because of Arthur Yates."

Henry Crowe lowered his head, saying nothing, and began to pick incessantly at the dead skin on his hands.

After a long while, Henry Crowe finally spoke. "Iris and I were a couple."

Zoe Sawyer and Heath Hale soon learned the whole story from beginning to end.

Aidan Osborne’s sister, Iris Osborne, had always been mature and sensible. She was a diligent student and, through her own hard work, got accepted into the best university in the province.

To lessen her brother’s financial burden, Iris worked part-time jobs throughout college to pay for her own tuition and living expenses.

It was during this time that she met Henry Crowe, who was then a senior in college.

They both had feelings for each other, and after spending some time together, Iris agreed to date him when he asked.

After they had been dating for a year, Iris wanted to introduce Henry to her brother, but after giving it some serious thought, he turned her down.

Zoe Sawyer started to get up to comfort him, but Heath Hale, sitting beside her, gently pushed her back down into her seat.

It started with flooding Arthur’s stream with gifts, which led to adding him as a friend. Slowly, they became so familiar that they were soon close friends who could talk about anything.

Henry Crowe started visiting Arthur Yates’s house frequently and naturally built a good rapport with his agent and assistant as well.

During this time, Henry Crowe poured all the compensation money received for Iris’s death into the scheme.

A week ago, Henry saw that Arthur Yates’s streaming career had hit a plateau. His content was stale, and he was steadily losing fans.
