"What paintings?"

"Miss Thorne," Selina Sloan held the paintings she brought for her, "I had no commitments recently, so I finished them this morning. The day you left suddenly, I didn’t get the chance to ask what kind of paintings you wanted, so I just painted a few randomly!"

"Thank you, let me open them for a look. Butler, pour some tea."

"Let me take a look too," Leon Rivers immediately jumped over.

Melody Thorne opened them; there were three paintings in total. One was a larger piece depicting a British-style garden with a family of four playing among the plants. Its style was very minimalistic and grand.

"This painting’s not bad at all, just as good as those by famous artists!" Leon Rivers commented.

"I thought the same as you when I first saw it!" Melody Thorne really liked that painting, coincidentally depicting a family of four like theirs. "Butler, frame it up for me; I want it hung in the most conspicuous place in the hall!"

"Miss Thorne, I’m glad you like it. Please see the other two as well. If there’s any dissatisfaction or dislike, I can repaint them," Selina Sloan said modestly, her bearing in the hall akin to a distinguished debutante from an illustrious family.
