Melody Thorne’s eyelids twitched a few times. She had read about such situations in her psychology books. To completely rid oneself of previous psychological shadows, one must interact more with the opposite sex and discover the good in them. Perhaps that way, one can slowly get better.

“Come, let’s try lying on the floor first.” Melody Thorne patted the spot next to her on the bed.

Ethan Knight looked at the spot she pointed to but couldn’t bring himself to lie down, all he could see was the filth of women.

His face turned completely dark. “You lie on the floor, I’ll sleep on the bed.”

Melody Thorne lay down on the floor and began to talk to Ethan Knight about maternal topics, like how great motherhood is, and how girls are clean and pure.

She kept talking, and Ethan Knight didn’t respond, nor did he give any reaction. He just quietly listened, eyes closed.

By the end of it, Melody Thorne felt sleepy, her eyelids gradually grew heavy. Suddenly, she felt a large shadow fall over her. The lights in the room were turned off, she could only see a tall figure. For a moment, she thought it was Ethan Knight.

When that person fully pressed down on her, Melody Thorne quickly reached out her arms and embraced him. “Jared Quinn, how did you get into Ethan Knight’s room? They’ll find out.”

Jared Quinn tightened his arms around her. “If it’s Ethan Knight pressing on you now, would you let him do this to you?”

“Jared Quinn, he’ll wake up, do you want us to fail like last time? I’ve already told you, he can’t touch women. Once we get the antidote, we won’t have to stay here anymore. I trust you won’t touch Flora Knight, can’t you trust me just this once?”

Jared Quinn “…”

He didn’t distrust her.

With a snap, he turned on the light.

Melody Thorne jumped in fright, quickly looking over to Ethan Knight’s bed, only to find him sleeping soundly.

“What did you do to him?” Melody Thorne asked, shocked.

“Don’t worry, he won’t wake up for a while.” Jared Quinn pressed her against the wall, driven by a man’s unique domineering force, wanting to kiss her, kiss her well, and give her a small punishment.

“Hey, we’ll be found out.” Melody Thorne’s heart pounded furiously from his actions.

This feeling was exhilarating.

“Mm, Jared Quinn, let go of me, let go of me.” Melody Thorne worryingly pushed him away, afraid Ethan Knight would wake up at this moment,

Melody Thorne watched as Jared Quinn’s silhouette disappeared into Ethan Knight’s room, instantly letting out a sigh of relief.
