"Alright," Melody Thorne agreed.

She turned her gaze to the man beside her, "Jared Quinn, if you’re not allowing me to get the antidote this way, then you also mustn’t get too close to Flora Knight. Otherwise, if I see it, I’ll go meet Ethan Knight the same way!"

Jared Quinn: "...Feeling anything now?"

"No, I don’t feel anything," Melody Thorne shook her head, not wanting Jared Quinn to worry too much.

"Leon Rivers, shall we head to the Lancaster Family now? To see if they have any intention of selling? Or to get it by other means?" Melody Thorne stood up.

"Yes, yes, he’s in the hall right now, you may go in."

Leon Rivers and Melody Thorne walked into the hall, where a man sat on the sofa with his back to them, face unseen.

"Mr. Lancaster," Leon Rivers spoke from behind him.

"Mr. Lancaster?"

"Could he have fallen asleep?" Melody Thorne furrowed her brows.

Leon Rivers walked around the sofa, reaching out to pat Mr. Lancaster’s shoulder.

"Help me... help me..." Harrison Lancaster raised his head, his face pale, a hand clutching his abdomen.

Leon Rivers looked down and moved the hand clutching Harrison’s abdomen away, revealing a dagger stabbed into it!

"Not good," Leon Rivers turned to leave.

"Ah, murder! Murder!" Several servants upstairs screamed, and many from the Lancaster Family came inside, their expressions changing drastically upon seeing the person on the sofa!

"Seize them!"

Leon Rivers and Melody Thorne stood still, realizing the Lancaster Family’s blatant betrayal!

Among the people entering was Harold Chapman and soldiers!

"Major Chapman, these two killed my father!" It was the Lancaster family’s daughter, Paige Lancaster, who spoke.

"Young Master Leon, Miss Thorne, I trouble you to come with me!" Harold Chapman spoke expressionlessly, giving Leon Rivers a look!

He felt something was off when the Lancaster Family contacted him, and before he could warn Leon Rivers to be cautious when coming to the Lancaster Family, trouble arose.

"Alright, alright," a cold gleam flickered in Leon Rivers’ eyes!

Melody Thorne spent all day outside either seducing her brother or sabotaging her plans. With Jared Quinn around, she couldn’t be removed, but at the very least, her actions could be restricted.
