Yang Chen nodded slightly, "Use a drone, go down and check if there’s anything else on the vines."

"Got it!" Yang Cao immediately started to lower the prepared drone.

As the drone descended slowly, the footage transmitted through its camera to the screen.

Seeing this, Yang Chen and Yang Cao observed the situation below.

The vines were full of gaps, as if smashed by something.

"How did this happen?" Yang Chen frowned.

When they left here last time, the damage was considerable, but not as bad as it is now, like a giant torn-up net.

Moreover, according to Yang Cao’s analysis, these vines should heal automatically since they are living organisms that would gradually recover after being damaged.

But looking at the current situation, it indicates that a significant impact occurred here earlier.

Yang Chen watched the feedback footage for a while, expression turning grim.

"Let’s go!" Yang Chen said coldly.

Yang Cao nodded his head and began retracting the drone.

After retrieving the drone, the two started walking back.

By the time they emerged, it was nearly dawn.

Upon exiting, Yang Chen didn’t speak to anyone about the situation below but instead sought out Ye Xin to inquire about the night’s investigation.

Through the night’s investigation, Ye Xin had basically completed the intelligence gathering.

The two found a private room, ensuring it was secure before they began talking.

"Tell me what’s happening. I need to know the specifics of this base and who went below," Yang Chen said sternly.

Seeing Yang Chen’s serious expression, Ye Xin understood that they must have uncovered something and needed her information for assistance.

Immediately, Ye Xin told Yang Chen, "According to our investigation, there are three segments of suspicious surveillance footage that I suspect have been tampered with and are currently being analyzed. Additionally, there are six suspicious people since they perceived the patrol underground as too dangerous and thus assembled a patrol team, with shifts being exchanged every ten days. However, among these, six individuals have patrolled three times within ten days, which is highly suspicious!"

"We cannot rule out the possibility of shift changes! But three times in ten days is too frequent!" Yang Chen frowned.

Ye Xin continued, "Besides those, after the teams were confirmed, the patrol teams exchanged members twice. One time was due to someone being unfit for the mountain environment and getting sick, which led to their replacement. The second batch was changed due to task reassignment."

Upon hearing this, Yang Chen frowned.

Normally, once such a task is undertaken, there is no turning back. Now, with such significant personnel changes, it indicates that someone has exerted influence to replace the team with their own people.

This behavior is what Yang Chen dislikes most.

"Has there been an investigation into their backgrounds? Whose people are they?" Yang Chen asked.

"They are... arranged by a senior leader and an old chief," Ye Xin hesitated for a moment and replied.

Such actions also align with the two old folks’ personality.

Yang Chen sighed and continued asking, "Anything else?"

"Everything else is detail, take a look!" Ye Xin handed the documents to Yang Chen.

Yang Chen nodded slightly.

"We’ve already got our marriage certificate, who else do you want to find?" Yang Chen retorted, glaring.

"Mind your own business! Hmph!" Ye Xin snorted coldly, pushed the door open, and left the room.

Yang Chen hurriedly caught up, "You need to tell me clearly!"
