Chapter 1208 - 671: Ninth-Rank Promotion Tournament (2)

Chapter 1208: Chapter 671: Ninth-Rank Promotion Tournament (2)

On the third day of the tournament, he already gathered enough points needed for rank advancement.

Next, as long as he finishes three Promotion Tournaments, he can become a glorious ninth-tier Life Card Master.

Moreover, he would be the first Life Card Master to advance to the ninth tier since the new rules were issued.

This prestige is incomparable to those ninth-tier Life Card Masters who managed to reach it through personal connections in the ordinary times.

Not long ago, after various countries reassessed their domestic ninth-tier Life Card Masters, a large number were demoted.

Reaching the eighth tier was already quite generous toward them.

Shen Sui wasn’t very clear about the situation in other countries; however, in Huaxia, many old-school ninth-tier Life Card Masters performed even worse than sixth or seventh-tier Life Card Masters in the reassessment duels.

Yes, there were also some who had retired from being ninth-tier Life Card Masters.

They submitted their applications respectably.

Back to the topic, since the points were sufficient, Shen Sui also applied for rank advancement, and naturally, Promotion Tournaments were next on the list.

Reminded by Vivian, Shen Sui became interested and quickly inquired about the situation with Xinyuan Tanchun.

Soon, Xinyuan Tanchun sent over the information.

The Promotion Tournaments were already arranged.

"But there is a small issue."

"Issue? What issue?" Shen Sui asked, puzzled.

"After all, considering it’s the first ninth-tier Promotion Tournament of the new era, the Exploration Bureau wants to arrange it on a duel platform in Modu."

The duel platform in Modu was where Shen Sui had his aerial duel last time.

Nowadays, after multiple tests, such aerial duel platforms have entered the trial operation stage.

Despite calling it trial operation, every big city already has one set up.

With the Extraordinary Radar carried below the aerial duel platform, the Exploration Bureau can monitor in real-time the occurrence of Extraordinary Power across the entire city.

Of course, technicians also took into account malicious attacks causing the aerial platform to crash, so it boasts highly comprehensive safety measures.

Even if all measures fail, it will self-destruct and fall into an unpopulated area.

Dueling on the aerial duel platform is essentially broadcasted citywide.

Clearly, the Exploration Bureau wants to leverage these three Promotion Tournaments to showcase the real-world strength.

"Um... Is it inappropriate for me to use an Underworld deck at that time?" Shen Sui asked.

Xinyuan Tanchun remained silent for a long while before responding, "What deck of yours isn’t Underworld-like?"

...

This question indeed stumped Shen Sui.

He pondered for a long while, stroking his chin in place.

Hmm...

"First, let’s define what kind of deck counts as Underworld-like."

"Give it up; no matter how you define it, it won’t change the facts."

"Alright, I’ll try to use some cooler cards."

Xinyuan Tanchun was right; no matter how Shen Sui argued, his duel image had solidified in the minds of all Life Card Masters.

While Shen Sui and Xinyuan Tanchun were setting the time for the Ranking Tournament, Alice had already arrived in Modu.

To avoid panic, after moving the villa, Vivian created an illusion of the villa on the original site.

Alice set her teleportation point within the illusion.

The Candlelight Illusion copied the villa, keeping all details intact.

After checking that everything was fine, Alice hummed a tune and pushed the door open to walk out.

Several girls were already waiting at the door.

These were friends she made in ten minutes during the Duel Exam.

"Good morning, Alice!"

One of the girls smiled and greeted Alice.

"The commotion you caused on the Dawn Continent was huge!" She looked at Alice admiringly.

After Alice cleared The Gods, the entire Dawn Continent entered a reconstruction phase.

The Exploration Bureau naturally wouldn’t miss this opportunity.

Just like World No. 8 and the Spiritual World before, when significant changes occur in a Soul Card World that favor the ambitions of Life Card Masters, the Exploration Bureau will announce it as a recommended world.

Things are unpredictable.

A year ago, if someone recommended a visit to World No. 1, they’d undoubtedly be maliciously misleading others.

Yet a year later, Dawn Continent is no longer the most dangerous Soul Card World.

In the rebuilding of the New World, opportunities are everywhere.

As the creator of the new era on the Dawn Continent, Alice knew the capabilities of these Life Card Masters.

They often have remarkable initiative, achieving unexpected feats in a short time.

The rebuilding of World No. 8 is concrete proof.

The unstoppable rise of the Leonis Empire was, wasn’t it, thanks to the efforts of the Life Card Masters?

Alice chuckled, and the remaining girls gathered around, chirping about their experiences.

She cherished this place.

Cherished every friendship.

Alice had already heard some tidbits from Freymia.

Once everything was pretty much done, Shen Sui was likely to take everyone on a trip.

The destination wouldn’t merely be a scenic spot in the real world but the entire Soul Card World.

The women were also curious about how many feats Shen Sui had left in so many Soul Card Worlds.

Vivian herself didn’t know.

After all, when she visited those worlds, it was already hundreds of years after Shen Sui’s game timeline.

Plus, Shen Sui’s identity changes in every game, so finding everything is quite difficult.

However, if one can find the name, Vivian could probably trace his tracks.

Because among all the names, the most eye-catching one is always Shen Sui.

This guy’s nicknames are always so quirky.

Alice was looking forward to this journey.

She was also curious about Shen Sui’s past.

Alice hadn’t fully traveled through all thirty-three Soul Card Worlds.

Yet even in the few Soul Card Worlds she experienced, she saw hints of Shen Sui’s past feats, whether magnificent, troublesome, or absurd.

Precisely because she was about to set sail, Alice treasured every friend here.

This sincerity touched these girls.

Initially, they felt Alice was unreachable, high above.

Yet unexpectedly, Alice was such an easygoing person.

"Alright, let’s go to the Duel Experience Hall!" Alice waved her fists excitedly, "In a few days, I’ll introduce you to two friends!"

"Yay, yay!"

The next day, Tianyi Academy’s points match began.

Alice thought for a moment and decided to challenge the teachers directly.

The gap between her and the students was too vast; if she were to duel with them, it would clearly be bullying.

Although Alice liked dominating lower-level opponents, that was in the Exploration Bureau, during duels with friends.

In competitions that affect others’ rank and life, Alice was quite considerate.

The duel ended quickly.

Alice’s card-using efficiency was already high.

Even without Shen Sui’s ability to slightly modify card effects, with the iteration of numerous cards, Alice’s deck-building surpassed many.

"How does it feel?"

On the day of the match, Zhang Fang and You Wenqi happened to be in Modu.

Soon, Shen Sui’s Promotion Tournaments would commence.

You Wenqi was one of the scheduled opponents for Shen Sui’s Promotion Tournaments.

Arms crossed, You Wenqi watched Alice dueling with her teacher and sighed, "She grows faster than Shen Sui."

"Though still a bit immature, she can already hold her own."

"Perhaps by the end of the year, she’ll challenge you face to face," Zhang Fang said with a smile.

You Wenqi initially thought Zhang Fang was joking, but upon reflection, the end of the year was already conservative.

That was Shen Sui’s rise speed.

By Alice’s pace, it should be even faster.

Her card-using efficiency was already high, now similar to You Wenqi, actively participating in card usage.

What really limited her was duel experience.

In this regard, Alice was truly progressing swiftly.

Most importantly, she was deeply passionate about Life Card duels.

This enthusiasm already surpassed most students present.

Legend has it that Life Card dueling originated from the Dawn Continent.

Perhaps people there are inherently imbued with this passion.
