Chapter 1198 - 666: Shen Sui’s Shipgirl Card Set_2

Chapter 1198: Chapter 666: Shen Sui’s Shipgirl Card Set_2

It’s fine to chip away at some Life Points.

Alice’s two magical girls, thanks to their effect boosts, have the ability to strike three times, which can conveniently clear out Shen Sui’s starting field.

Perhaps the only consolation is that aside from that naval treaty card, Lexington and her group don’t have too crazy of effects...

Thinking this, Alice entered the battle phase and was instantly dumbfounded.

"What on earth is this?!"

Alice pointed at Saratoga’s 15,000 Spirit Value, shouting.

"Well, when entering the battle phase, Essex’s effect inevitably activates." Shen Sui shrugged and explained, "I place an [Essex Class] derivative on any remaining spaces in my Magic Area and Follower Area."

"But that’s still not right!"

"All [Essex Class] derivatives are treated as [CV] followers, and each additional [CV] follower on the field increases Saratoga’s Spirit Value by 500."

With Essex’s effect enhancing, Shen Sui’s field had a total of nine [CV] followers, while Saratoga’s initial Spirit Value was 3,000...

"That only adds up to 7,500, right?"

"Lexington can double the Spirit Value of all [CV] followers during the battle phase."

"..."

I thought you were playing by effect.

Turns out you’re racing attacks, huh?!

Alice glared at Shen Sui angrily.

"My turn is over!"

She said this almost through gritted teeth.

At the end of the battle phase, all derivatives placed by Essex were destroyed.

Shen Sui also took the opportunity to begin his turn.

"My turn, I draw a card."

Shen Sui drew a card from his deck and immediately planned his main phase actions.

At this moment, Alice flipped open a face-down card: "During your main phase, flip open the card! Activate the Spell Card [Magical Girl·Clear Skies Operation]!"

"Both sides will return their respective follower cards on the field to their decks."

Alice directly chose to clear the field.

"Is this supposed to be your newly obtained Life Card?"

"Hehe, not bad, right?" Alice chuckled mischievously.

Shen Sui, however, analyzed seriously: "Using it to clear the field during a disadvantageous situation is indeed good, and since it affects the players, it can be used to deal with some all-immunity followers."

Saying this, Shen Sui returned Lexington, Saratoga, and Essex to his deck.

"When my last shipgirl follower leaves the field, the effect of [Washington Naval Treaty] inevitably activates." stated Shen Sui, "Sending it to the graveyard allows me to choose a Spell Card from my deck and set it on the field."

Saying this, Shen Sui opened up his deck and chose a Spell Card to set.

"Hehe, now you don’t have a naval treaty, right?" At this moment, Alice flashed a smug smile.

She opened another face-down card.

"At this time, I activate the Spell Card [Magical Girl Gathering!]!"

"...Why do I feel like your cards are all about banding together? Are you keeping a harem over there?" Shen Sui teased.

According to the effect of this Spell Card, Alice chose three magical girl followers from her deck and special summoned them to her field.

Then...

Then she began her expansion during Shen Sui’s turn.

Shen Sui was not annoyed, his arms crossed, watching Alice unfold her tactics.

Alice managed to talk for five minutes, filling up her front field completely.

"Your deck is rather outrageous." Seeing the field Alice had driven out, Shen Sui sincerely sighed.

The last one who could expand during the opponent’s turn like this...

After hearing no more card activations from Alice’s side, Shen Sui snapped back to attention, asking: "Is it finished?"

Alice nodded satisfactorily: "Yes, it’s done."

"My turn, isn’t it?" Shen Sui said while pulling a card from his hand.

"Pay Soul Points, activate from my hand, Spell Card [Li Mei Barbecue]."

???

Li Mei Barbecue?

What kind of weird name is that?

Alice was suspicious and was about to ask, but then she saw all her followers on the field get destroyed.

"What on earth is this?!"

"Li Mei Barbecue." Shen Sui spread his hands.

"Can this blow up all my cards?"

"Well... maybe your followers have an additional BUFF due to their names?" Shen Sui tilted his head, making a grim joke.

"Okay, this card just negates the effects of followers and destroys them." Shen Sui explained.

Alice looked at these cards, feeling puzzled: "Have I brushed these cards for you?"

She was very certain that she hadn’t encountered either the naval treaty or Li Mei Barbecue before.

Shen Sui scratched his head: "Lexington is my Soul Card... When she returned to Shipgirl World to help my Guardian Mansion relocate, she flipped through my old game event records and brought these cards out."

Alice helplessly remarked: "You said I was the card-brushing holy body, but aren’t you just the same?"

Even though both sides’ explosive plays had emptied all reserves.

Shen Sui paid Soul Points and summoned [CL-55·Cleveland] on his field, then set a card to end his turn.

Alice breathed a sigh of relief.

Thankfully, thankfully.

At least Shen Sui didn’t do anything crazier this turn.

Thinking this, Alice drew a card from her deck.

Good... Set card and pass.

It wasn’t that she was bricked; it was simply because she was too eager to flaunt her moves during Shen Sui’s turn, making many useless actions and wasting resources.

Shen Sui similarly faced a comparable predicament.

He hadn’t wasted resources due to flaunting but, as he mentioned, the Shipgirl Card Set wasn’t yet complete.

Many shipgirls lack effects, essentially blank cards.

This resulted in Shen Sui’s deck containing many "Mortal Bone" followers.

Shen Sui set a card and had Cleveland attack directly, knocking 2,000 Life Points off Alice before ending his turn.

Alice saw her chance. Didn’t it just arrive?

"Hehehe! Seems like you didn’t seize the opportunity! Claude!" Alice placed her hand on her deck, declaring, "In that case, victory is about to be mine!"

"My turn! Draw!"

Alice drew a card from her deck.

Glancing at the card, she looked pleased.

"Then let’s end this duel this turn!"

She said while flipping her set card: "Activate Spell Card [Summon of the Magical Girl]."

According to the Spell Card’s effect, Alice could special summon a magical girl follower from her hand to the field.

"And the one I shall summon is this!"

Alice revealed the Life Card she just drew.

"I choose to special summon [Miracle Magical Girl·Shiratsuki Nana] on the field!"

A white-haired, aloof girl appeared on Alice’s field.

"This is the high mountain flower I worked so hard to conquer!"

Alice gleefully remarked.

Shen Sui was speechless: "What kind of words are those..."

Alice didn’t care, her head was entirely filled with the thought "finally beat Claude."

Shiratsuki Nana’s effect activated, directly nullifying all effects of opposing followers and lowering their Spirit Value to 0.

Subsequently, as long as Shiratsuki Nana destroyed a follower, Alice could banish a magical girl from the graveyard, allowing Shiratsuki Nana to attack again.

In some sense, Shiratsuki Nana was a magical girl version of [Star Abyss White Dragon·Qishala].

Of course, she had negative effects too; all her effects were inevitable.

Moreover, she had to attack during the battle phase.

Yet, in the face of such powerful effects, these negative aspects seemed trivial.

"Hehehe! This duel is over!" Alice declared triumphantly to Shen Sui.

With the attack declaration, Shiratsuki Nana’s magic blasted onto Cleveland.

"Oh? Is it really?"

Shen Sui’s lips curved upwards as he opened a set card: "At this moment, open the set card! Activate the Spell Card [Crossroads Operation]!"

"Until the end of this turn, if my shipgirl followers are destroyed, I must activate, dealing 500 damage to you."

"And then! When Cleveland is destroyed, I activate another set card!"

"Activate Permanent Spell Card [Independent Level Emergency Plan]!"

"This card can only activate when [CL-55·Cleveland] is destroyed. If my last shipgirl follower is destroyed, special summon a [CVL-Independent Level] follower from my deck!"
