My Stubborn Soul Card Follower
Chapter 1096 - 615: Newborn! Truly Newborn!
Chapter 1096: Chapter 615: Newborn! Truly Newborn!
Shen Sui opened his eyes, looking at the ground gradually approaching below.
Although it has gone through several iterations, the map of this buffer zone still vaguely shows the traces of Vivian’s original design. I heard the Exploration Bureau planned to add buffer zones of different environments to deal with different enemies after taking over the code.
"Wow—! Wow—!"
There was no need to look back; the one shouting next to me was definitely Alice.
She spread her arms wide, letting the upward airflow blow her skirt.
"What’s with your outfit?" Shen Sui turned around and saw Alice dressed up as a nun.
"I was just helping Anna look after the dragon egg." Alice grinned at Shen Sui.
"Just helping out? But why wear a nun’s outfit?" It was Alice’s first time wearing a black and white nun’s dress, and I have to say the outfit seemed to complement the blonde girl, looking very fitting and striking.
"Wait! Are you sure you were just looking after it?" Shen Sui suddenly realized and stared into Alice’s eyes.
Alice, feeling a bit flustered under Shen Sui’s gaze, nervously said, "Wha... What’s wrong?"
"If you were just looking after it... why is your real body here to check it out?" Shen Sui squinted his eyes and asked.
When a Life Card Master enters the buffer zone, what generally appears beside the Life Card Master is the projection of the Soul Card.
Of course, if the Soul Card’s abilities are strong enough, the real body can completely descend through this projection. Isabella used this method to use the buffer zone as a transit point to enter the real world.
Shen Sui also planned to let Alice come over using this method.
Indeed, the end result should have been Alice’s real body coming over, but clearly, it wasn’t supposed to be this anxious and hurried manner.
Not even changing clothes, this is definitely not how things are arranged after everything is ready.
"Ahem." Exposed by Shen Sui, Alice scratched her head and grinned, "A small mistake occurred during the watch."
"A small mistake..."
Shen Sui stared at Alice.
For a moment, the ground seemed to turn into the sky.
"Holy crap!" Shen Sui suddenly shouted, "Did you bake someone’s dragon egg?"
"I just accidentally set the hatching room on fire, I didn’t bake the egg!"
"Oh..." Seeing Alice confidently retort, Shen Sui instinctively felt there was no issue and nodded.
"..."
"Wait! Isn’t that still baking the egg?" After a few seconds, Shen Sui finally realized.
If Qishala finds out, she’s definitely going to be furious!
"It was a minor mishap. I’ve rescued it." Alice said, sweating profusely.
Shen Sui felt a bit relieved after hearing this. Even if Alice wasn’t reliable, she could still retrieve the fire she set herself.
"But... they might need your help next." Alice suddenly said.
Help me... What do you mean?
Shen Sui followed Alice’s gaze.
Above them, a white dragon egg was falling at the same speed as them. The descent was so fast that flames of friction had appeared on the egg’s surface.
When he saw this scene, Shen Sui froze, confused, as he looked at the embarrassed Alice.
Alice placed both hands together against her lips, showing an embarrassed expression: "I didn’t expect my newly invented magic to make my flames uncontrollable... Uh... Claude, can you help me~!"
Shen Sui covered his face.
He slightly regretted it.
With a roar, accompanied by Alice’s fireball blasting the ground to slow herself with the recoil, the two landed on the ground.
Compared to Alice’s noisy landing, Shen Sui’s was evidently much quieter; he simply flipped his body and floated down steadily.
Raising his hand, he caught the incoming white dragon egg that had been plummeting like a meteor.
The moment Shen Sui caught the egg, he felt a familiar aura.
Shen Sui immediately looked up at Alice: "Whose child is this?"
Alice scratched her head and said: "I don’t know. When I arrived at Anna’s place, it fell from the sky and hit my head. I don’t know which irresponsible mother laid the egg in the air."
Well, your head sure seems tough.
If Shen Sui guessed correctly, this was likely Qishala’s "sister."
This dragon egg had an aura noticeably belonging to a Star Abyss White Dragon, likely a newly birthed egg of a Star Abyss White Dragon from the starry sky.
"So, you only saved this one?"
"Not really, I intended to save them all, but when the hatching room caught fire, the other eggs broke through their shells and escaped." Alice blinked, "Turns out giant dragons can fly as soon as they hatch."
"Huh?"
It took several seconds for Shen Sui to realize what Alice said.
Bad news: The hatching room for your kids burned down.
Good news: Your kid learned to fly early.
Why the hell would a giant dragon learn to fly right after hatching? If young dragons could learn to fly so easily, then where do the missions in my game that require using forbidden spells to force young dragons to fly come from?
Shen Sui sighed; although Alice caused a fire, it didn’t end up as too much of a loss. Still, this girl messed things up and then ran away, leaving God knows what expression Anna would have.
I guess she would sigh and habitually clean up after Alice like she did when they were kids. Whenever Alice got into trouble, Anna was always the one helping to clean up afterward.
