Chapter 668 - 354: Demon Lord Bloodline_2
This... all right then!
Raine felt a twinge of disappointment.
He'd been thinking that after killing him it'd be five with one missing, but now it was still three with two missing.
Sure enough, when the Elder Green Dragon in the sky saw the royal palace below turned into a mess, a flicker of very human anxiety flashed through its eyes, and in the next instant it swiftly transformed into a hawk and dove straight down.
When it was only a few meters from the ground, it transformed again into a tall male Elf clad in branches and green leaves, with a large deer antler helmet on his head.
He pulled off a stylish roll just before landing, coming to a stop right in front of everyone, fully showing off his exquisite Transformation technique.
"Am I late?"
"Osber didn't come?"
Ilrabien, wearing the Deer Antler Helmet, looked around again and fired off questions in succession.
"Mr. Irabien, Osber did come, but he's already dead." Duke Fortagen pointed at a lanky corpse in the distance whose Magic Robe had been stripped off.
He had personally ripped the robe off just now.
As for Irabien not being able to recognize Osber's corpse, that was understandable.
After all, identifying a headless corpse is a lot harder, especially when he'd stripped off the Magic Robe on top of that.
Following Duke Fortagen's pointing finger, Irabien looked over, and his eyes suddenly bulged wide!
Huh?
That's Osber?
The Talin Association President, Great Summoner Osber?
Irabien stared in shock at the lanky headless corpse on the ground in the distance, frozen for a full three seconds before he snapped out of it.
"This is... Osber?"
"You all know which Osber I mean, right?"
"We know, Mr. Irabien, you mean Talin Association President Osber, and that's him right there." Ilgerina, the Drow Elf, seemed very happy to see the proper Surface Elf Irabien showing such a loss of composure.
But Raine could tell it wasn't out of malice; most of it was simple teasing.
Irabien glanced at Ilgerina, as if saying, 'Seriously?', but when he saw Leonore also give a slight nod, Irabien's expression changed, and he could no longer hold himself back.
His figure flashed, and he transformed into a black panther again; with a swish he bounded over in just a few strides to the headless corpse, sniffed it, then prodded it with his paw, examining it carefully.
"It really is Osber!" Irabien shifted from panther back to Elf and stood up. "You... how did you manage this?"
"Ahem... mainly it was Mr. Rein who did it." Seeing Irabien look his way, Duke Fortagen's weathered face flushed red; he coughed and respectfully pointed at Raine to the side.
No wonder Great Druid Irabien had looked to Duke Fortagen first.
Right now, the Duke was pitch-black all over, his clothes in tatters, with obvious injuries on his body. However you looked at him, he clearly had just gone through a fierce battle.
Raine?
Hearing Duke Fortagen's words, Great Druid Irabien looked at Raine in puzzlement.
Mid-Extraordinary Tier?
What kind of joke is that!
Feeling Raine's aura, Irabien simply didn't buy it.
"It's true." Leonore nodded.
"It's true, Mr. Irabien, Mr. Rein's Combat Power absolutely exceeds anything you're imagining." Ilgerina also nodded immediately.
Hearing all three Legendary figures on scene say this, Irabien still didn't really believe it—but he couldn't outright disbelieve either.
He was half-convinced at best. After pondering for a moment, he looked solemnly at Raine and said, "Esteemed young and unfamiliar powerhouse... please forgive my presumptuousness. If possible, might we have a modest little spar?"
"After all, this whole thing is just..."
If this request had been directed at some other famous powerhouse on the continent, they'd probably feel at least a bit offended, even though Irabien's wording was polite and his attitude friendly.
But what Raine was thinking was: if a top-tier powerhouse is willing to be his sparring partner, his delight far outweighed that tiny hint of offense.
"Of course." Raine glanced around, saw that the area had already been roughly cleared, and said, "Great Druid, how about right here?"
"Uh... of course, Mr. Rein." Seeing Raine agree in one breath without a trace of hesitation, Irabien couldn't help being stunned for a moment, then immediately nodded in agreement once he recovered.
A short while later.
The two of them took their places about twenty-odd meters apart in the makeshift arena.
"Mr. Rein, in a moment I'll be using the Giant Bear Transformation Spell. In my giant bear form, my Power is extremely strong, so you'll need to be careful. During the fight, if you can't hold on, Mr. Rein, you can call a stop at any time." Irabien reminded him again.
Hearing this, Duke Fortagen and Ilgerina couldn't help but glance at each other!
Irabien, you clearly didn't see how Raine just killed the Balrog Flame Demon. The one who needs to be careful is you, Great Druid!
And the one who'll probably be calling a stop should also be you, Great Druid!
Only, that sort of thing really couldn't be said out loud.
So the two of them just watched Great Druid Irabien naggingly caution Raine, their expressions oddly complicated.
"Thanks, I understand." Raine also smiled.
With such a rare chance, there was no way he'd be the one to call a stop.
With a furious roar, Irabien transformed into a gray giant bear over five meters tall, and charged at Raine bellowing, his massive right paw sweeping down from above in a heavy strike.
The violent gust, even from several meters away, was already whipping up dust and debris.
Raine's hair flew in the wind as his eyes narrowed slightly; he tightened his grip on his Warhammer.
In the next instant!
His muscles bulged all over, his height surging to nearly three meters as he activated Gigantification Lv4. The Warhammer in his hand let out a piercing sonic boom, and a silver-white hammer-shadow slammed straight into the giant bear's descending paw.
