My Professions Have Too Much Personality

Chapter 581 - 319: True Radiance Level Traits

The Peng King then pressed, "A True Radiance Level Talent is superior to a Morning Star Tier Talent. There are no known examples in the Dust Star Sea, so how exactly can one obtain it?"

"Whether one can be obtained is entirely up to luck. True Radiance Level Talents possess various bizarre, innate Traits, which are essentially inherited from Moonlight Tier Professionals," Sun explained.

’Inherited from Moonlight Tier Professionals...’ The others fell into thought. This point aligned with some of the information they already possessed.

The offspring of powerful life forms would naturally have a higher average potential. For instance, a Divine Dawn Talent bestows the inherited ability to ignite the Morning Fire, just like a Morning Star Tier.

A True Radiance Talent, then, bestows an inherited Professional Trait from the Moonlight Tier, making one innately stronger than others.

"In that case, what would a Sun Tier pass down?" The Peng King was particularly interested in this, as the Royal Court had been researching this very subject.

"That I do not know."

The Bronze Ancient King suddenly spoke up. "I once experienced something similar to what you describe—the ability to view my physical attributes as quantifiable data."

"However, I never felt any substantial improvement in my Talent, nor did I find my advancement speed to be any faster than other holders of Divine Dawn Level Talents."

Sun’s voice was flat. "You’re mistaken. Possessing this Trait is a characteristic of the True Radiance Level, but it does not mean you are of the True Radiance Level. Your luck was merely a little better than most, but not *that* good."

’Higher than Divine Dawn, but not quite True Radiance?’ The explanation seemed plausible, the others mused.

Now with a clearer understanding of the True Radiance Level Talent, the Peng King steered the conversation back. "You just said you could help us easily enter the Lost Flame. What is your method?"

"Lure out the Spirit of Sun."

"Lure it out?" The others were surprised. "If it can be lured out, why would we still need to enter the Lost Flame?"

Sun elaborated, "When I say lure it out, I don’t mean physically. I mean attracting the attention of the Spirit of Sun, allowing it to select a few worthy individuals to become the Acknowledged."

"With these Acknowledged leading the way, the Spirit of Sun’s aggression will diminish, making it relatively easy to enter the Lost Flame."

So that was the method. The others were somewhat astonished. "According to your plan, how do we attract it, and how do we find those who are qualified to be acknowledged?"

Sun was evasive. "Attracting the attention of the Spirit of Sun requires a great price. It’s a complex process, not something that can be explained in a few words. We can discuss the specific steps when the time comes to execute the plan."

"As for those qualified to be acknowledged..."

Sun paused at this point before continuing, "The Spirit of Sun is far beyond any ordinary Professional Spirituality. Your Peak Star Conference is, however, quite timely. There are many holders of Divine Dawn Talents present. Perhaps we can use this opportunity..."

The Peng King frowned, confused. "Didn’t you just say the Spirit of Sun doesn’t restrict based on age or Tier? Why suggest these young people be the ones to try?"

"You can all try as well. Bring everyone you can find; I have no objection. However, allow me to offer a word of caution."

"The spiritual attention we attract will only produce the Acknowledged. To become a Chosen One is not so simple..."

Sun’s voice was detached. "If you have your Ancient Kings participate now... it would be one thing if all of them became Acknowledged. But what if none of them are? Or if only one is? Have you considered the consequences?"

At these words, the others fell silent. If that situation were to occur, a full-blown conflict would be all but inevitable.

"Therefore, I advise you against letting the Moonlight Tier Professionals participate so early."

The group remained noncommittal. The Peng King turned back to the Bronze Ancient King. "Ancient King, we must report this matter to the other Ancient Kings and the Emperor."

"Mm." The Bronze Ancient King nodded, but the several Morning Star Tiers remained rooted to the spot.

As all eyes turned to him, the Peng King had no choice but to bite the bullet and ask, "But... how should we handle this Sun?"

Although this was the Bronze Sect’s territory, the others were not comfortable letting the Sect guard Sun alone.

The Bronze Ancient King naturally understood their thoughts. With a point of his finger, the void around Sun rippled. A stream of glowing data formed an Energy Barrier, encasing it completely.

"You may all guard this Sun together."

He didn’t press the issue. Qin Yun’s earlier cover-up had already caused enough trouble, and the Bronze Ancient King had no desire for his Sect to truly become a target for all the other powers.

Seeing this, the others let out a collective sigh of relief.

The Peng King immediately declared, "In that case, it must be guarded at all times by at least two Morning Star Tiers from different factions."

The others naturally had no objections. For now, the discussion came to a close. The information they had obtained from Sun had to be relayed to the other Ancient Kings and the Emperor.

What to do next would require another round of deliberations.

Soon, representatives from the Profound Celestial Sect and the True Martial Sect were left behind as the first watch.

The Bronze Ancient King glanced at the ever-silent Qin Yun, shook his head almost imperceptibly, and vanished.

The others pushed open the door and filed out.

Outside, pairs of eyes immediately turned toward them, filled with probing curiosity about what had been discussed.

With his head bowed and his expression dark and unreadable, Qin Yun walked straight toward the main gathering.

Su Chen quickly retreated behind Qing Cang and watched the Venerable walk over to Qin Tianlin’s body. It was impossible to know what he was thinking.

After a long moment, Qin Tianlin’s body floated into the air and vanished along with Qin Yun.

Everyone held their breath during this process, and the hall fell silent. This was, after all, the pain of losing a grandson—and a promising one with a Divine Dawn Level Talent, no less.

This loss might also affect his future plans. On a grander scale, a potential future Sun Tier had just been lost.

The bitterness in the Venerable’s heart was palpable. No one dared to cross him at a time like this.

The atmosphere only began to relax after Qin Yun was gone.

As Han Xingliu was leaving, he invited Su Chen again. This time, the pretext was to collect the Morning Star Essence.

"There’s no need," Su Chen refused again. "Like I said, there’s no rush. It would be fine if you just had someone deliver it."

’No rush...’ Hearing this, Han Xingliu felt a pang of frustration. He couldn’t tell if this fellow was genuinely unconcerned or if he was worried about something.

This was the Bronze Sect’s territory. He couldn’t possibly make a move on him here.

Having been rejected twice, Han Xingliu grew increasingly dissatisfied, though he didn’t let it show on his face.

He simply said coolly, "Rest assured, I will have someone deliver it to you as soon as possible."

The crowd dispersed, and the few Morning Star Tiers left with furrowed brows, seeming to be in a hurry.

"They’re in such a rush. They’re probably going to report to the Ancient Kings and the Emperor. I wonder what exactly they discussed," Qing Cang murmured, staring at their departing figures.

"That purple flame extracted from Qin Tianlin’s body seemed to contain faint Spirit Fragments. I wonder if they managed to learn anything new from it."

"It contained Spirit Fragments?" Su Chen asked from behind, feigning surprise.

"Without the cover of Qin Tianlin’s Spirit Core, it was obvious at a glance," Qing Cang said, his brow tightly knit.

"Why don’t you just go and ask the Ancient King directly later?" Su Chen suggested as he followed Qing Cang out of the building.

The world outside was bustling and prosperous. People milled about, and Flying Devices whizzed through the air. This wasn’t Dragon Abyss; it was Cloud Dragon Star.

"If Master wishes to tell me, he will summon me," Qing Cang said, shaking his head. He led Su Chen to the nearest Flying Device station and had a vehicle temporarily dispatched for their use.

Just as he was about to board the Flying Device, Qing Cang suddenly stopped, his expression tensing as he stood frozen in place.

Noticing that Qing Cang hadn’t followed, Su Chen glanced back. From his expression, Su Chen guessed that the Ancient King was communicating with him.

A moment later, Qing Cang responded with a respectful "Yes."

Immediately, his gaze fell on Su Chen. "My Master wishes to see me. It must be about what they were just discussing."

Su Chen nodded. "Then you should go, Senior Brother. I can get back on my own."
