Chapter 225: Chapter 146: Wei Yinsuo Exploded, Corpse Missing

[Taming successful. Obtained High Tier Black Tuo’s Power, effective on Tier Eight and lower classes.]

A notification appeared on his panel. Su Chen was surprised—it was actually High Tier.

“You’re draining my Lord’s power… What in the world are you?”

The High Priest inside his body seemed to grow more frenzied, its voice laced with panic.

His opponent was using the Divine Blood as a lure to draw the Divine Power out through the wound. Without the Divine Power to act as a vessel, the High Priest’s consciousness could barely exist on its own and was beginning to fade into nothingness.

Wei Yinsuo’s eyes were Crimson, and he was absolutely livid. “Fight back!”

“Too late!” Su Chen snapped. Even now, his blade had only penetrated a third of the way in. ’Wei Yinsuo is damn hard to kill.’

But as the core of Black Tuo Divine Power was siphoned away, the purely tyrannical Energy enveloping it began to spill out, completely uncontrolled.

Black smoke poured from the wounds all over Wei Yinsuo’s body. As if foreseeing what was to come, terror flooded his eyes. “No… no… no…”

As the Chief Judge, he had enjoyed the adoration of the masses. He cherished the wonderful things this world had to offer; otherwise, he never would have believed the Deceitful God’s ethereal promises.

But now, all of it was about to vanish like smoke.

He didn’t want to die!

Su Chen’s eyelid twitched. The Scale Armor on his skin rapidly dissolved into his body. His Spiritual Power was drained in an instant as the nutrients stored in his Abyssal Stomach flooded his system, fueling the Reverser’s rapid transformation.

Holy Hand enhanced his Thunder Undying Armor as searing arcs of electricity erupted from his skin. Activating Azure Thunder Divine Movement, he shot out of the window in a flash.

The entire sequence of actions was perfectly fluid, executed in a mere instant.

And then, Wei Yinsuo met his most desperate moment. With a look of bitter despair, his emaciated body swelled and, amidst an agonized scream, violently exploded!

BOOM!

The top floor of the medical center blew apart. A ring of ink-black Energy expanded at an astonishing speed, surging madly in all directions like a ferocious beast breaking free from its cage.

Its edge was an absolute, light-devouring black. The space in its wake subtly distorted, its surface crackling with irregular, dark arcs of electricity that emitted a terrifying hiss.

The wave expanded with incredible speed. Su Chen, despite having already covered some distance, was quickly overtaken. It felt like a giant sledgehammer had slammed into his back.

BANG!

Excruciating pain flared in his chest. The muscles on his back contorted violently, revealing faint metallic patterns beneath the skin.

He was sent flying, the blast itself adding to his velocity until he was moving too fast for the naked eye to see.

RUMBLE!

The medical center collapsed. Its upper floors were reduced to dust, and staff from the lower levels ran out screaming.

A moment later, merely two or three breaths’ time, a crushing cyan hurricane descended. The fierce winds blew away the smoke, revealing a figure: it was Lei Tieyan.

He landed in front of the medical center with a grim expression, watching the staff scatter.

The next moment, he reappeared at the epicenter of the explosion. The top floor of the medical center had been completely sheared off; only the first and second floors remained unaffected.

“Wei Yinsuo…” Lei Tieyan scanned the area, his gaze finally landing on a bowl-shaped piece of bone, charred black and resting upside-down on the ground.

His stony features twitched. A fire of rage surged in his chest as his hawk-like eyes swept over the surroundings.

Many of the on-duty Judges, having noticed the commotion, were already rushing over, their faces masks of utter shock.

“Hss—”

In a pocket of space far away, Su Chen winced, his teeth clenched in pain. His clothes had been completely annihilated, leaving him nearly naked, his skin covered in scorched marks.

’That explosion was insane. Good thing I was already some distance away, or I’d be severely injured, if not dead…’

Su Chen carefully downed several Potions. He watched the Judges rushing toward the blast zone from all directions as he took a set of clothes from his Storage Space and slowly got dressed.

’He really was hard to kill…’ he mused. ’But I didn’t even have to truly use the Divine Blood.’

By holding the Divine Blood, his “authority” was higher than the High Priest’s, so the Black Tuo’s Power the priest mobilized couldn’t harm him.

’That High Priest was completely stunned by the Divine Blood. He wasn’t even as quick to react as Wei Yinsuo. I managed to snatch the Black Tuo Divine Power right out from under him, and he lost the very thing he relied on…’

Su Chen recalled how he’d been worried the High Priest might also be able to command the Divine Blood and had stayed on high alert. ’In the end, the priest just had a complete breakdown.’

’Or maybe it’s because an extremely fanatical Believer like him simply couldn’t comprehend my disguised form. The fact that I could hold Divine Blood and absorb Black Tuo Divine Power was probably enough to make his faith start to crumble.’

He was once again struck by just how absurd his disguise was. Not only could it unconditionally earn the trust of fellow Believers, but it could also be used to catch them off guard and shatter their faith.

’Of course, I can’t let someone like Old Xia see me like this,’ Su Chen thought. ’Or he’d probably try to bash my head in.’

As Su Chen pondered this, the commotion in the distance grew louder. He had landed quite far from the medical center.

’I can’t believe I absorbed a High Tier power. It works on classes up to Tier Eight… I wonder if I can split it? Otherwise, it’s kind of a waste,’ Su Chen thought, looking at his panel with anticipation.

After a moment, to his astonishment, the words [High Tier Black Tuo’s Power] began to blur, gradually changing into [Middle Tier Deceitful God’s Power] x3.

Su Chen grinned. ’So it can be split into three. That must mean it’s a three-into-one type of upgrade.’

This was a much more favorable outcome. After confirming no one was passing by, he activated his Concealment and reappeared.

He took a long, roundabout path back to his own residence and slipped in through the back door.
