Chapter 141 - 109: The Might of a Priest, Black Tuo Divine Blood

Chapter 141: Chapter 109: The Might of a Priest, Black Tuo Divine Blood

“Brother Pang, aren’t you going to invite me in?” Su Chen asked gently, looking at the dazed Pang Xingwen.

Pang Xingwen still didn’t react, but Su Chen walked straight in, bumping him aside.

The bump finally snapped Pang Xingwen out of it. His pale face flushed red as he slammed the door with a BANG and glared viciously at Su Chen. “You still dare to show your face!”

“The way you’re talking, anyone who didn’t know better would think I was the one colluding with the Deceitful God Sect.” Su Chen chuckled, his gaze falling on the black-robed figure to his right. ’No facial features? Seems to be a trait of the Faceless Ghost Followers.’

’The Pang Family is actually involved with two Deceitful Gods at the same time.’

Su Chen was rather surprised. He didn’t know much about the Deceitful Gods, but he knew that even if they weren’t openly at each other’s throats, they were fundamentally incompatible.

They all worshiped their own god, which made cooperation difficult.

Cooperation required a unified ideology. When problems arose, who would give the orders?

If the followers of one Deceitful God took the lead, wouldn’t that imply their god was mightier than the other’s? That would be extremely damaging to one’s faith.

Hearing this, Pang Xingwen’s confidence wavered for a moment, but he quickly recovered and sneered, “In that case, you’re just asking to die by coming here.”

“Then why don’t you think about *why* I dared to come?” Pang Xingwen’s face went pale. He instinctively glanced outside, his mind already conjuring images of them being surrounded.

But just as quickly, Pang Xingwen gritted his teeth. “Even if we are surrounded, we can still kill you first! Having you accompany me to the grave would make my death worth it!”

“We aren’t exactly big shots. If they were really surrounding us, they would’ve just attacked directly. Why would they send you?” the Black Tuo Follower said calmly.

’These guys are pretty smart as long as matters of faith aren’t involved…’ Su Chen was rather surprised, but he laughed heartily. “As expected of a believer of my Lord. Very perceptive.”

“My Lord?” The Black Tuo Follower paused, staring at Su Chen with suspicion. “What do you mean?”

“I mean…” As Su Chen’s voice trailed off, his hair suddenly vanished. Black markings spread from his cheeks across his entire body, forming the shape of a vertical pupil on the crown of his head. A dark and profound aura emanated from him.

“A Priest!” The Black Tuo Follower’s expression changed dramatically. Before Pang Xingwen’s dumbfounded eyes, he dropped to his knees and prostrated himself, crying out with the utmost reverence, “This humble servant greets the spokesperson of my Lord!”

At the rank of Priest, one was qualified to be called a god’s spokesperson.

’This guy is actually a Priest Black Tuo?’

The nearby Faceless Ghost Follower was equally shocked. ’If so, why would Black Tuo go to such lengths to track him down?’

’Or could it be that Black Tuo’s people have already converted him?’

’How on earth did he manage to maintain such a perfect disguise and even become a Core Seed of the Judicial Court?’

He had many questions, but he didn’t doubt Su Chen’s identity. The fact that the fanatic beside him had already dropped to his knees was proof enough.

Upon promotion to Priest, one inevitably made initial contact with the Divine Spirit they worshiped, gaining various means of communication and sacrifice. This was irrefutable.

Even they could only feign being a zealot at best; faking the status of a Priest was impossible.

’This identity is actually this effective?’ Su Chen was astonished. He had prepared a whole speech, but the moment he revealed his status, the man had dropped to his knees.

’He didn’t even ask how I became a Priest.’

Pang Xingwen was completely dumbfounded. He wanted to run outside right then and there to expose Su Chen’s identity to all of Ying Feng.

A Priest!

’A Deceitful God Priest had brazenly infiltrated the Judicial Court and even become a Core Seed! How utterly ridiculous!’

’And that Xia Hanshi had the nerve to try and annihilate their family!’

“What’s the situation here in Ying Feng?” Su Chen asked, seizing the opportunity.

“Reporting to the Priest, the Pang Family was just destroyed. All our previous efforts have gone to waste,” the Black Tuo Follower explained, looking up.

“What were you planning to do in Ying Feng? What was the original plan?” Su Chen’s question was blunt. If not for the fact that faith served as a natural form of identification within the Deceitful God’s system, such a question would have immediately drawn suspicion.

“Wait…” The nearby Faceless Ghost Follower frowned. “What exactly are you…”

“Shut up!” The Black Tuo Follower shot a cold look at the Faceless Ghost Follower and barked, “Are you worthy of speaking to the spokesperson of my Lord?”

Su Chen: “…”

’This identity is a little too useful.’

When the Black Tuo Follower looked at Su Chen again, his expression turned fanatical once more. “We were supporting the Pang Family, using Pang Hui’s identity to provide cover for our activities within Ying Feng and, by extension, influence the subordinate cities.”

“Our most recent plan was to block any news from the ’Ten Cities of the Southern Edge’.”

“Why?”

“There’s a large-scale blood sacrifice for several Deceitful Gods happening there.” The Black Tuo Follower was truly devout and held nothing back.

’What’s the deal with this Priest? He seems completely disconnected from Black Tuo’s inner circle,’ the Faceless Ghost Follower mused as he listened to Su Chen’s string of questions.

’A large-scale blood sacrifice? In the Ten Cities?’ Su Chen’s expression shifted slightly as his gaze subtly swept over to the Faceless Ghost Follower.

“Kill the Faceless Ghost Follower next to you.”

A wisp of a mental command entered the Black Tuo Follower’s mind. Without a shred of hesitation, he erupted into action from his kneeling position. The black vertical pupil on his head glowed with a sinister light, and a beam of black energy shot straight toward the Faceless Ghost Follower beside him.

“What are you doing!” the Faceless Ghost Follower cried out in alarm. The attack was so sudden that he had no time to react before the black beam pierced through his chest. Its momentum unabated, it then blasted a large hole in the ceiling.

But he was a Tier Three Professional, after all, and the injury was not yet fatal.

“We’re collaborators!” he roared furiously, attempting a hasty retreat. He had no intention of fighting back; a Priest could communicate with a Divine Spirit and possessed far too many abilities for him to counter.
