My Players Are So Fierce

Chapter 3149: Twilight Miscellany: The New Federation’s Demise

The Holy Spirit Plain is a general term for a large terrain area located in the northern part of the New Continent.

Its area is vast, roughly equivalent to the wilderness region of Nordtof, or the total territorial area that belonged to the Ceylan Kingdom before the establishment of the Goldenrod Kingdom. This generally flat area, mixed with a few hills and two mountain ranges, is very fertile and peaceful.

At least before the pioneers from the Old Continent arrived and started their activities, this place could be described as peaceful and harmonious.

The Ganote people living here are a group of nomads who have not established a unified nation. These descendants left behind when the ancestors of the Aztecs expanded northward have always lived in a clan-based, scattered manner in their fertile and beautiful homeland.

Depending on the different regions they inhabit, they have formed quite unique primitive worship systems, with each clan worshipping the totem of a specific animal.

Most intriguingly, perhaps due to the Feathered Serpent God’s protection and guidance, the beast totems that these clans of the Ganote people believe in mostly originate from the major biological groups of the Star Realm.

The plain is called the “Holy Spirit Land” because, after nearly a thousand years of primitive worship, the Ganote people, through their faith offerings and weaving, have shaped many “Demigods” in the Shattered Star Realm.

Of course, since the population of each clan is small, the amount of faith they can offer is quite limited, and the Star Realm is not a place of peace and harmony. This has led to the “Demigods” shaped by the Ganote people having only the life forms of faith creatures, weak in both absolute strength and supernatural authority.

Considering that the Feathered Serpent God was once a traitor to the New Gods and has long been plagued by chaotic pollution seeking ways to cut off from it, it is likely that Kulkan’s guidance for these Ganote people to offer faith and create Demigods was not entirely selfless.

She might have been analyzing and studying the power of faith through this.

However, the guidance of the New Gods, after a millennium, has turned the Ganote people into what is truly “beloved by all spirits.” Although the Demigods their clans worship do not have much power to grant to their followers, creating one or two “Divine Warriors” in the material world as their proxies is not a problem.

This powerful existence beyond ordinary warriors has, in turn, maintained the complex yet self-contained belief system of the Ganote people.

According to the original trajectory, they were supposed to continue developing this way until influenced by the political ideology and advanced systems spread from the southern Aztec Kingdom and eventually establish their own nation on the Holy Spirit Plain. However, the arrival of the pioneers from the Old Continent completely changed and interrupted all of this.

The members of the Adventurers’ Guild do not take war as a way to explore the world, but some hidden within carrying special purposes do not think the same. They came to the New Continent seeking the legendary “Heart of the World” and accidentally discovered the Ganote people of the Holy Spirit Plain and their weak “cute” yet faith-powered Demigods.

These entities, possessing only the form of Demigods without the power of Demigods, are seen as the best “weapons” in the eyes of those bastards.

In Era 1063, the Adventurers’ Guild’s first large steamship “Traveler” landed on the east coast of the New Continent. It is now Era 1112, 49 years later, and the number of Ganote clans on the entire Holy Spirit Plain has sharply reduced from the previous 379 to less than 10.

That means, most of the 379 “Ganote Demigods” have fallen into the hands of those who manipulated the slaughter.

The locals call them “White Devils,” and judging by what they’ve done in these 50 years, calling them “devils” would even be an insult to those imagined malevolent creatures.

The most powerful kingdom on the New Continent, the Aztec Kingdom, has not been uninvolved for a short time in this brutal situation. Unfortunately, in the face of the Ganote Demigods contaminated and strengthened by chaotic power and the Creator artifacts as war weapons in the hands of the White Devils, even a strong mundane nation can only maintain not exacerbating the front line on the southern border of the Holy Spirit Plain.

The truth of this brutal war is hidden.

The rapid changes over in the Old Continent have left its people without time to bother with intermittent news from afar. However, as the Black Disaster comes to an end, and as more and more attention shifts to the New Continent, everything happening here will soon come to light in the eyes of the Old Continent’s rulers.

By then, it is only a matter of time before the atrocities of the White Devils are truly exposed. However, before the truth of this fifty-year horrific massacre is brought to light, a strike chosen by the Creator God has already occurred in advance on this blood-and-tear-filled great plain.

After all the warfare weapons left by the Creator became ineffective, the White Devils immediately encountered the greatest crisis since their landing.

In the City Hall of the largest city Newbury within the pioneering territory “New Sax” at the northernmost part of the Holy Spirit Plain, reports from the south were flooding in like snowflakes, with the situation deteriorating far faster than anticipated by the rulers here.

The Aztec vengeance army is crushing through the areas under their control at a terrifying speed.

“Mayor, the new war report has been delivered.”

A defense officer clad in classic Knight armor pushed open the noisy and quarrelsome council hall and, holding a bloodstained war report, said to the middle-aged man dressed in gentlemanly attire but with a comically Mediterranean hairstyle in front of the crowd:
