Chapter 3014: Chapter 1004: Ah! What a Fine Space Airship—If Only It Fired a Shot from a Volcano Summit... Slurp Slurp
Lady Mosna vowed that she really just went to assess the level of foreign experts.
She did absolutely nothing provocative, yet by the time the airship arrived at the Maginot Line, Mosna had already become the "absolute star" of this journey.
Dozens of experts from related fields and various races surrounded her, asking one professional question after another, while also getting notebooks from the crew to both ask and record, as if Mosna was an all-knowing "wish machine."
But thanks to the exaggerated database from the Sentinels, these enthusiastic foreign experts’ questions were something she could barely manage.
However, aside from those asking questions, there were several bigwigs specifically researching mechanical automation and artificial intelligence standing quietly nearby, eyeing her in a manner that gave Mosna chills.
It resembled the stance of a murderer finding the perfect victim.
The Sentinel Lady was certain that if she agreed to carry out maintenance here, these guys would definitely rush towards the screwdriver, not stopping their research until they disassembled every module of her.
Of course, this is just thinking out loud; given Mosna’s current important status within the Transylvania system, Murphy would never allow foreign bigwigs to physically study his "Sentinel Assistant."
Mainly because, with Bluestar’s current technological level, even if they did manage to disassemble Mosna, they would find it difficult to glean any useful insights.
Leapfrogging knowledge and technology requires a solid theoretical foundation, and before experts and bigwigs accumulate technological advancements, treating Lady Mosna as a "question machine" is clearly more valuable than dismantling her.
"This visit wasn’t in vain, it truly was a delightful surprise!"
Tapping his notebook filled with tens of pages, Tea-drinking Uncle exclaimed, while stepping off the airship with his apprentice Meng HaHa beside him, he waved excitedly at Mengha with his notebook. He had chosen a Half-body Man racial template:
"The answers we’ve gathered in just a few hours today, once we go back and design some experiments to verify their feasibility, would allow us to publish at least ten core papers in top journals. But for an old man like me, I don’t need these accolades anymore.
The content is so great, but unfortunately, cannot be disclosed at this stage."
"I was about to advise you on that,"
Mengha murmured beside him, saying:
"You’d better conduct the verification experiments here as well. I’ve tested through various methods, and the physical constants and rules are the same between the worlds. If you insist on doing experiments at home, wait at least until Loyal Brother and the others have checked your lab before taking this knowledge back.
The risks of data leakage are terrifying; we can’t have another Cement Sister incident."
"Do you really need to remind me of this? I’m decades old,"
Tea-drinking Uncle snorted, but considering his apprentice had been receiving government aid for a long time, he didn’t refute too much but turned his head to gaze at the Maginot Line at the Dawn Moment.
Because the airship’s boarding gate sat atop a high tower, Tea-drinking Uncle could overlook the entire defense line.
He could see Vampire Warriors returning to switch posts from the sunlight, along with local soldiers spiritedly walking to perform patrol duties, those tall soldiers in armor carrying bolt-action rifles presented an oddly awkward feeling.
Especially after Tea-drinking Uncle recognized the Mosin-Nagant pattern, he could barely maintain his composure.
"So, we, our own people, came over to figure out how to arm the locals, and helped win a war against monsters, right?"
Tea-drinking Uncle asked,
"I heard the young man on the airship briefly talk about it, said the battle was quite brutal?"
"Sadly, the number of war casualties and missing exceeds fifty thousand, and an equal number are injured or disabled, and that’s just Transylvania’s numbers. You must know, at the start of the war, Transylvania only had 350,000 people."
Mengha, having personally experienced the Black Disaster, although not having been to the front many times, participated in several player actions, and the fierce war scenes were vivid in her memory. Facing her mentor’s inquiry, she sighed and said:
"I once fantasized about what the scene would be like if war occurred at home. I once thought that now we are so strong that even if a war breaks out, there wouldn’t be too many casualties, yet reality proves I’m just a foolish dreamer.
After truly experiencing the baptism of war, I deeply realized the helplessness of individuals in such chaos.
War is a disaster for everyone, no matter which world it happens in."
"So?"
Tea-drinking Uncle looked at his much-grown apprentice with a comforting gaze, asking:
"Have you become a pacifist now?"
"No."
Mengha grinned, saying:
"It’s just my sincere feeling. I don’t wish for war to come, but if it must, then I’ll do everything in my power to help my country end the war as quickly as possible, just like Sir Murphy used the creator’s weapons to kill the Evil God.
If I need to press that button to end the war, then the current me will no longer hesitate.
The enemy is just the enemy!
The enemies back home are just another form of even worse Werewolves, and if Transylvania’s warriors have no psychological shadows from slaughtering Wolf People, then so do I now.
