Salockdale was always ready to execute operations at the Genesis Energy Regulator, and on the lab’s second level, non-researchers like Pa Ying, Oksana, Edward, and Charlemagne were all there waiting anxiously.

"The previous gene edits were very successful; the seven subjects’ need for blood has greatly reduced, allowing them to accept other food to supplement their nutritional and energy needs outside of blood, while also enhancing various vampire innate powers.

We have already applied such gene modules to the clansmen, and their feedback has been overwhelmingly enthusiastic."

While Fato was performing complex programming on the device, he spoke to Constantius beside him:

Casually discarding her coffee cup, as it shattered on the ground and dark liquid spilled, she very decisively and forcefully pulled his head towards her, answering with a deep kiss.

Witnessing this scene, the three others’ eyes widened.

Yet, from their expressions, it was clear that everyone more or less knew about the hidden situation between these two adversaries. Even Lord Paryen displayed a mysterious ’aunt smile’; perhaps he also hoped for a second pair of intimate relationships to emerge among the ancients, apart from Salockdale and Oksana.

But Old Edward’s expression was strange at this time.

With the special perception of ancient memories, Murphy, as an observer, became aware that during the deep kiss a special capsule was sent into Edward’s mouth by Constantius, forcing him to bite and break it, allowing the oddly flavored liquid to disperse into Duke Wolfsbane’s mouth, then vanish through absorption.

In just a few seconds, the annihilation spread like a storm from the laboratory center to the entire Eden District, resembling the scene of matter approaching a black hole, disintegrating everything in an instant only to reform it into all sorts of bizarre, twisted forms chaotically.

Old Edward fell from the sky, landing awkwardly in a ripped chasm on the ground.
