My Perfect Isekai: Pragmatic Protagonist, Progression Fantasy and Strategy
Chapter 99: Breaking The Bound One
The bottom floor of the Wild Dungeon beneath Crossgard ceased to perform its most fundamental physical function - it stopped holding the ground beneath their feet.
The massive, basalt slabs of the floor, each weighing over ten tons, tore free from their foundations with a dry, hollow snap and began floating silently into the air. Around the central amphitheater, a localized vector-inverted gravity zone had formed. Atmospheric pressure inside the dark chamber dropped by half in a fraction of a second, triggering a sharp, painful ache in their eardrums and paralyzing standard air circulation.
Dave had no intention of fighting the entire cubic volume of the chamber. From a pure engineering standpoint, that would be a mindless waste of calories. He simply lowered his center of gravity, armoring the soles of his boots with black, matte Gōtai, and drove a targeted telekinetic anchor deep into the intact foundation slab beneath the shattered floor. He stood firm against the environment as a living, unyielding pillar.
Before Shnee and Karys could be swept upward by the vacuum draft, Dave caught them both with an invisible kinetic grip. He pulled both girls down firmly to the stone, instantly dampening their upward momentum to absolute zero.
"Stay grounded!" he called out coldly, though the subtle vibration in his primary motor conduits signaled that the environmental friction here was incomparably higher than in the upper sectors. "This old fossil isn't casting spells. He's simply compressing space around his chest."
In the very center of the demolished amphitheater floated the four-meter, towering figure of Czarnobog. The liquid, viscous Void Tar forming his outer combat armor pulsed with a vicious, cadaverous purple. The gold-copper suppressors on his neck, wrists, and ankles groaned horribly, and the invisible chains anchored directly into the fabric of the dimension strained with the screech of shattering glass. The refraction of light along the boundaries of the invisible bindings created an optical illusion of crystalline fractures hanging in the void.
The bound Dark Deity did not need a wide range of motion. A shift of his center of mass carried the tonnage of a tank.
From his right shoulder, a thick, three-meter-long tentacled whip of viscous Void Tar lashed outward. The whip held no fixed shape - in mid-flight, the liquid mass changed density, transitioning from viscous fluid into basalt as hard as diamond. The trajectory of its stroke generated a localized shockwave that pulverized floating boulders into fine gravel.
Dave shoved Shnee to the left and stepped directly into the strike vector.
He wasn't dodging. He needed to test the sheer mass behind this whip on his own skin.
He activated full Gōtai reinforcement across his left forearm, hardening his bones, tendons, and fascia to the absolute physical limit. The collision occurred in a millisecond.
BOOM!
A dull, metallic crash thundered off the amphitheater walls. The black Void Tar struck his sleeve with the momentum of a siege ram. The KAI armor held - his radius bone remained intact, and the black coating didn't even crack. However, the raw kinetic energy carried an inhuman tonnage. The momentum surged through Dave's shoulder joint, forcing him into a hard, half-meter backward give. The soles of his boots plowed into the stone, carving deep furrows in the basalt.
A thin trail of dense, red blood leaked from the corner of his mouth. His Vessel had taken a heavy blow. This wasn't a stress-free slaughter like on the upper floors - every physical contact with this mass attempted to grind biological tissue into pulp.
"Oh, fucking great... finally a real hit," Dave muttered, wiping his chin with the back of his hand. In his eyes, instead of annoyance, that same cold, predatory sapphire ignited - the glow that appeared exclusively when a problem offered genuine resistance. "Alright. Enough playing around."
Karys launched herself from behind a lifted stone slab. Her left arm hung limply - the shoulder joint had been completely dislocated from the previous impact, and dark blood seeped from a crack in her black Fenrir armor. Yet there wasn't a trace of fear in her eyes. Wild, lupine instinct drove her forward, her mace-tail thrashing the floor in a rhythmic, lethal balance.
"Dave! He has no blind spots!" she roared, trying to raise her right hand with her Abyss Claws. "That black sludge reacts to every shift in the air!"

"Hold still, kid," Dave said, appearing right beside her with a Sapphire Flash.
Without asking, he grabbed her left arm, locked her shoulder blade with a targeted telekinetic grip, and with one precise, hard jerk, snapped the humerus bone back into its socket.
CLICK.
Karys didn't even wince. She gritted her teeth, a flash of fierce gratitude in her eyes. Instantly, she drove her thick mace-tail deep into the spraked floorboards, serving as a second anchor for the entire team.
"Kaede, vectors!" Shnee called out, closing rank on the right flank. The small, crystalline spider on her shoulder twitched its legs, processing data from micro-vibrations in the air.
"Invisible chain tension spiking at three o'clock!" Kaede's squeaky, synchronized voice echoed in Shnee's head in English, cutting through the vacuum hiss. "Heavy mass shifting to upper torso! Anchor vector locked!"
Shnee didn't hesitate for a microsecond. Instead of launching a conventional rapier thrust toward the God's chest - which would be useless against the viscous tar - she channeled her Heavens' Silver directly into the streams of liquid mercury churning around Czarnobog's neck and shoulders.
A frosty, crystalline frost spread across the black sludge. Shnee wasn't trying to freeze the entire deity. She injected frost exclusively into the outer layer of the Void Tar, forcing an abrupt jump in its viscosity. Under the influence of the silver crystallization, the liquid mercury hardened, cracked, and transformed into a brittle, matte armor covered in a dense network of micro-fractures.
"Dave! It held!" Shnee shouted, leaping backward away from an incoming chain.
Dave was already there.
He activated Yomi I. The spherical radar of pure KAI in his head didn't map the entire amphitheater - it focused its full bandwidth onto a two-meter zone around Czarnobog's upper chest. Within that zone, Dave perceived every line of stress, every pressure vector, and every micro-fracture created moments ago by Shnee's frost.
He didn't strike blindly. Instead of delivering a heavy momentum blow, he folded his hand into a tight, rigid wedge and triggered a Sapphire Flash in the main pathway of his right shoulder.
A sapphire spark surged through his muscle fibers. Dave's arm accelerated to a speed that turned the air around his knuckles into a sapphire shockwave.
He injected a targeted KAI pulse of an anti-vibrational frequency directly into the largest fracture in the frozen shell.
SNAP!
The sound wasn't loud. It resembled a steel hammer striking a cracked bell.
The sapphire pulse passed through the Heavens' Silver crystals and penetrated deep beneath the black mercury layer. The anti-vibrational phase collided with the dense Void mass, triggering an instant resonant chain reaction. The complex internal stress vectors holding the four-meter combat form together began canceling and amplifying each other simultaneously.
The cracked obsidian mask on Czarnobog's face froze.
CRACK...
A deep fracture cleaved through the titan's chest. A second split across his shoulder. In a fraction of a second, the entire four-meter, dark basalt combat shell became covered in a web of glowing purple fissures.
"You... arrogant little mortal..." the low, bone-resonating voice of the God reverberated through the minds of the entire team, but this time, a dry, raspy grind laced his tone.
BOOM!
Czarnobog's combat shell exploded from within. A purple shockwave scattered black shards across the entire amphitheater, grinding floating boulders into fine powder.
As the dust settled, the four-meter titan was no longer in the center of the hall.
In its place, suspended in mid-air between the gold-copper collars, remained pure, condensed Divine Darkness Essence - a dense, pulsating sphere of living Void, radiating a dark, ancient authority.
Yet the essence did not hover idly.
In a millisecond, the pulsating cloud of darkness reacted to Karys's presence. Karys's Vessel - derived from a predatory, deep lupine core - acted on the divine essence like a powerful magnet. For the weakened, shell-less deity, this clean, predatory structure inside the girl's body offered the only stable anchor in the entire hall.
The cloud of darkness launched toward Karys with the speed of a bullet.
"Karys!" Shnee yelled, reaching for her rapier.
"Don't move!" Dave ordered, making no move to stop it with telekinesis. He noticed that the black cloud held no aggressive kinetic intent; it sought pure structural merger.
The dark essence struck Karys directly in the center of her chest.
The wolf-girl threw her head back, letting out a short, deep growl. The black mercury entered her body without resistance, like water soaking into a dry sponge. The basilisk armor plates on her shoulders and chest healed instantly, adopting an even deeper, matte shade of abyssal black.
Karys's aura expanded violently. Her motor pathways flashed dark purple, and small, black electric arcs began orbiting her mace-tail.
Karys lowered her head, breathing heavily. She lifted her hands, staring at her Abyss Claws - their edges were now so razor-sharp and dense with darkness that they literally blurred the contours of the air around her fingers.
"I... I feel it," Karys whispered, gazing at her hands with a mix of wild awe and disbelief. "This power... it just entered me. It's not tearing my channels apart. It strengthened them!"
Dave stepped up to her with calm, deliberate strides, slipping his hands back into his coat pockets. He inspected her closely, scanning her nervous system with a brief KAI pulse.
"Strengthened, sure," he said coldly, though full analytical alertness sharpened his gaze. "But that wasn't free mana, kid. Something from that darkness anchored permanently into your spirit."
In that exact millisecond, inside Karys's head - and only inside her head - there echoed a slow, cynical, intensely weary bass of the fallen deity:
"Well, you stuffed me inside a wolf mutt, you idiot in the black coat... God, it's cramped in here. But at least those damn chains finally stopped grinding."
Karys twitched, her eyes widening in pure surprise.
