My Online Girlfriend Has a Twin Sister

Chapter 150 104: Surging Undercurrents

The next day marked a fresh start, a morning exceptionally bright and sunny.

On every street and in every alley, people bustled about, rushing to make a living. School buses were filled with students in matching uniforms, and bus stops were crammed with office drones trying to get to work.

The windows of cars parked by the roadside were coated in frost, having been battered by the cold wind all night.

In the early morning, the liveliest places were the breakfast shops. A biting wind swept through as the gentle sun, offering little in the way of warmth, illuminated the hazy steam. One by one, baskets of fresh soup dumplings were taken from the steamers and carried to the diners’ tables.

The world outside was crowded and noisy.

But just a few buildings away, in the bedroom of unit 1302 in Fengting District, the only sound was that of quiet, peaceful breathing.

Soft and slow.

On a morning like this, the greatest happiness was surely sleeping until you woke up naturally. No jarring alarm clock, no urgent matters to attend to—just the freedom to enjoy a whimsical dream.

Or the warmth of the person beside you.

Jiangg Ning woke up out of habit. No matter how lazy she felt, she never slept past eight o’clock. This held true even though she had been so happy chatting with Chen Yuan last night that she didn’t fall asleep, utterly exhausted, until two in the morning.

When she opened her bleary eyes, the first thing she felt was a sense of being held.

A hand was draped across her waist, resting near her navel, and a warm, energetic body was pressed tightly against her back.

As her mind slowly cleared, Jiangg Ning stared blankly at the gray pillow for a moment. Suddenly, she realized she was in Chen Yuan’s bed.

And the person holding her was Chen Yuan.

Her face immediately began to flush. Her eyes widened, filled with utter disbelief.

It wasn’t until she remembered everything that had happened yesterday that Jiangg Ning lowered her gaze and bit her lip.

In a way, her own relationship with Chen Yuan was nowhere near the point of sleeping in the same bed. But Jiangg Yao’s relationship with him *was* that intimate. If she hadn’t come over to sleep here, her sister would have.

Jiangg Ning would have definitely been jealous of that.

That was what had prompted her to stay the night.

But the moment she woke up, even before the soft sunlight could touch her face, with just a little light filtering through the window, Jiangg Ning felt that something was wrong.

Being held like this certainly gave her a sense of security.

‘But… why is something hard pressing uncomfortably against my butt?’

She didn’t even remember how she’d fallen asleep. Last night, they had excitedly discussed their travel plans for a long time, drafting various itineraries. She had probably just lain down on the bed, thinking she would rest her eyes for a moment, but ended up falling fast asleep instead.

And now, this morning, she was in Chen Yuan’s arms.

Jiangg Ning didn’t let her imagination run in any other direction.

Chen Yuan was still asleep, and she didn’t want to get up and disturb him.

She planned to get a little more sleep herself.

‘But how am I supposed to sleep when I’m being poked by a phone?!’

Besides, they were tangled up in this warm cocoon of blankets. Chen Yuan’s eighteen-year-old body was like a furnace, practically scalding. ‘Did he leave his phone screen on all night? How did it get this hot?’

‘If this keeps up, it might get damaged…’

The more Jiangg Ning thought about it, the more worried she became. Besides, the heat was making her feel uncomfortable all over.

After a moment of hesitation, she finally decided to reach her hand under the covers and feel for it.

Then, she suddenly realized.

Jiangg Ning’s brain instantly shut down.

“Of course we have to stay together during the trip! I really don’t get why Chen Yuan had to meet you first, or why you insisted on wearing that ring… Am I supposed to just tag along like a third wheel and watch you two be all lovey-dovey?”

When Jiangg Ning returned home, she found her sister at the sink, grumbling as she brushed her teeth. She was also up bright and early.

The dark circles under her eyes had faded so much you could barely see them unless you looked closely.

Her current stream of complaints was all about the upcoming trip.

Checking into a hotel required an ID. Chen Yuan only knew of the public identity of “Jiangg Ning, the university professor,” so all the booking for flights and hotels had to be done in her name.

Meanwhile, she would have to just follow along. She imagined herself, enduring the boredom of travel all alone while, not far away, her “young master” and her sister were laughing and having fun together. The thought made her feel so cuckolded she could practically feel the green dripping from her head.

“There’s nothing to be done about it. You could also just not go,” Jiangg Ning said with a shrug, kneeling on the carpet as she packed clothes into a suitcase.

“I don’t care. When I get fed up, I’m going to make you switch with me. The first night at the hotel, you find a chance to swap places with me. You’ve had two nights, it’s my turn for one,” Jiangg Yao said, fuming.

“It’s just lying down in a bed. If you want it so bad, you can have it. What’s the difference where you sleep? I’m still not used to being with Chen Yuan, anyway.”

Jiangg Ning put on an air of nonchalance, but as she spoke, the memory of that morning inexplicably surfaced in her mind, and a blush blossomed on her cheeks.

After all, she was an innocent young woman who had never experienced anything like that.

The slightest hint of something risqué was enough to fill her with bashfulness. In that respect, she was far less bold and proactive than her sister.

When the sisters had laid down their ground rules, they had explicitly stipulated that their time had to be divided properly.

It had to be fair and impartial.

Neither was allowed to monopolize him, and neither would allow herself to be short-changed.

There was nothing wrong with Jiangg Yao’s request, so she agreed without giving it much thought.

“You’re the one who said it, you know. When we get to the hotel, don’t you dare pretend you didn’t see my text.”

“How could I? I won’t go back on our agreement.”

“Good. Hee hee.”

Jiangg Yao’s eyes darted about, a cunning glint appearing within them.

Ever since the sisters had decided to team up, their love life had seemingly become peaceful and free of conflict.
