"Oh? You’re that certain I’m stronger than your master?" Chu Feng asked, his interest piqued.

"My master once said that only those with a powerful Divine Soul can perceive everything happening around them. I was over a hundred meters away, yet you still sensed me. None of the other Martial Arts Venerables discovered me!" Li Zhengyi said, looking at Chu Feng.

"Well, in that case, your master must be very powerful. And if so, you can stop wasting your time looking for an Essence Enhancing Pill. It’s useless," Chu Feng said.

"What? Useless? That’s impossible! I have to get one and try! Even if it only buys him three to five years, I have to try!" Li Zhengyi said with determination.

"Then can you tell me where your Sect is?" Chu Feng asked curiously.

"I can’t tell you that. My Sect has very few members, and we’ve always remained hidden from the world. If I didn’t need to find an Essence Enhancing Pill for my master, I wouldn’t have appeared at all," Li Zhengyi said.

The reason Chu Feng was so curious was that he could sense the incredible power of Li Zhengyi’s master just from his words.

That was why he wanted to go take a look. He figured that if the old man’s Divine Soul was that powerful, he might be on the verge of Crossing the Tribulation.

In Chu Feng’s mind, there had to be people in the Martial Arts Realm whose power was so immense they could trigger a Celestial Tribulation.

"Don’t worry, I have no ulterior motives. Could you contact your master? I’d like to speak with him for a moment," Chu Feng said.

Even though they were in the Grand Canyon, the area had long since gotten full signal coverage. Since government personnel were also participating, they had naturally made sure all the necessary support infrastructure was in place.

"Venerable Chu Feng, you want to speak to my master?" Li Zhengyi asked, a little incredulous.

"Yes. I have a few things to discuss with him. It might be helpful for your master," Chu Feng said.

"Alright, I’ll call him right now," Li Zhengyi said quickly.

Soon, Li Zhengyi’s call went through.

A voice came through the phone. It wasn’t the voice of an old man; on the contrary, it was resonant and full of vigor, carrying a commanding presence.

Chu Feng wasted no time. He took the phone and asked, "May I ask if this is the Sect Leader of the Cloud Mist Sect?"

"I am. Who is this?" the Cloud Mist Sect Leader asked.

"I am the Martial Arts Venerable assigned to guard the Martial Arts Grand Ceremony. I’ll skip the pleasantries and get straight to the point. I’d like to ask, Senior, how confident are you about the upcoming Celestial Tribulation?" Chu Feng asked.

"How could you possibly know that I’m about to face the Celestial Tribulation?" The Cloud Mist Sect Leader on the other end of the line was clearly stunned, his voice filled with astonishment.

"I was just speaking with your disciple, Li Zhengyi. He mentioned Divine Soul Power, and I figured it out. Given your situation, Senior, you’re preparing for Crossing the Tribulation, not looking for some Essence Enhancing Pill, right?" Chu Feng said.

"Yes. What is it you want?" the Cloud Mist Sect Leader asked.

"My intentions are simple. I wish to witness this Celestial Tribulation. I’m currently a disciple of the Celestial Sword Sect and also the Young Master of the Chu Family. If you’ll allow it, Senior, I can act as your guardian and ensure your safety during the process of Crossing the Tribulation," Chu Feng said.

"Of course. The only reason I sent him to the Martial Arts Grand Ceremony to compete for an Essence Enhancing Pill was to keep him from knowing about this. It was just a way to send him away. I’ll send you my location shortly. I’m on an island in Nanhai," the Cloud Mist Sect Leader said.

In truth, when a Martial Cultivator was Crossing the Tribulation, anyone who dared to interfere nearby would have to have a death wish.

That’s because anyone who dared to interfere would inevitably be struck by the Celestial Tribulation as well.

That was why the man wasn’t worried.

"Understood. Thank you, Senior. Roughly how long do I have?" Chu Feng asked.

"I estimate it will be about a week from now, but I can’t be one hundred percent certain. It could happen tomorrow or the day after. If you wish to observe, you should come as early as you can," the man replied.

"Mm, alright. I understand," Chu Feng said with a nod.

The only thing on his mind now was going to witness a Celestial Tribulation. As for standing guard here, Chu Feng had zero interest. It was utterly boring.

If he could witness a Celestial Tribulation with his own eyes, it would be of immense help for when he had to face his own in the future.

"Excellent. Then I shall await your arrival," the Cloud Mist Sect Leader said with a chuckle before hanging up. A moment later, a location pin was sent to the phone.

After glancing at the location, Chu Feng tossed the phone back to Li Zhengyi.

Then, Chu Feng walked straight out of the Grand Canyon and called for Bai Han.

"Watch over things here for me. I need to leave for a few days," Chu Feng said.

"How can you do that? The Martial Arts Grand Ceremony has already begun. How can a Martial Arts Venerable just leave? Besides, what about your wife’s safety?" Bai Han said.

"Don’t worry about my wife. No one would dare try anything with her unless they have a death wish. As for whether I can leave or not—that’s my decision to make. I’m off. I’m leaving this place in your hands, Senior Sister," Chu Feng said, and with that, he was gone.

"Wait!" Bai Han yelled after him, but Chu Feng didn’t so much as turn his head, simply walking away without looking back.
