This Sect, from its founding ancestor onward, was known for using the Heavy Saber.

He was once an expert who had reached the Martial Arts Limit. With a single Heavy Saber, he dominated all before him. Although their ancestor had long since passed, the Heavy Saber Sect remained a Major Sect.

These men were sitting together, having deliberately lit a campfire to attract others.

To put it bluntly, they were laying a trap, waiting for others to come to them.

"If they dare to show up, we'll kill them all, no matter how many. One comes, we kill one. A pair comes, we kill the pair!" This was spoken by their leader, the strongest and most senior member of the Heavy Saber Sect's younger generation.

The man was massive. He stood at least two meters tall.

The muscles on his arms were thicker than an average woman's waist.

These men had no idea that, in the darkness, a couple of figures had emerged and were heading their way.

The two figures were rather strange, their entire bodies shrouded in long robes.

As the two figures drew closer, the sound of their footsteps grew clearer. By now, someone from the Heavy Saber Sect had heard it and looked in their direction.

He saw two people dressed in pale green robes that completely concealed their faces. They were quite tall.

"We've got customers!" a man from the Heavy Saber Sect said with a smug grin.

They had already taken out several groups before this.

"Who goes there? Halt!" a Cultivator from the Heavy Saber Sect roared at the two.

The others immediately tossed aside the meat they were holding and snatched up their Heavy Sabers.

"Oh? Are these the men from the Heavy Saber Sect?" one of the two spoke. His voice was unsettling, enough to give anyone who heard it goosebumps.

"That's right, we're from the Heavy Saber Sect," a Cultivator snarled. "Since you know who we are, hand over your Scoreboards right now. Otherwise, you'll have to face the consequences!"

Every last one of them was incredibly arrogant. Their leader, after all, was an expert at the Foundation Establishment Realm. They had every reason to be cocky and fearless.

"So noisy. Just die," one of the two figures in pale green robes said. A whip had appeared in his hand at some point.

In the flickering firelight, the whip glinted with a biting, cold light.

CRACK!

He lashed the whip out.

The moment the sound rang out, the head of the disciple who had just been shouting went flying.

The whip had snapped his neck clean through.

It was a terrifying sight that would have scared anyone witless.

The remaining disciples of the Heavy Saber Sect were all stunned, instantly descending into chaos and crying out in alarm.

"Leader! Fifth Brother... he's... he's dead!" the other Heavy Saber Sect disciples screamed in terror.

"You dare kill our men?!" a Heavy Saber Sect Cultivator roared furiously.

"Hah. Don't worry, not a single one of you is getting away," the other man said as he, too, charged forward.

His speed was incredible, and a strange blade had appeared in his hand.

He crossed several dozen meters in an instant, appearing before them in a flash.

"Dammit, they're Foundation Establishment Realm experts!" The leader of the Heavy Saber Sect disciples' expression changed, his face turning grim.

He claimed to be at the Foundation Establishment Realm, but in reality, he was still half a step away and couldn't be considered a true master of the realm.

That was why when the man in the green robe attacked, he had nearly been killed instantly.

His opponent was too fast; he couldn't block the attack at all.

After that close call, the man scrambled backward, his heart pounding with fear.

'I'm no match for these two,' he realized.

So, he turned and fled, desperate to escape.

But could he really escape, targeted as he was by two Foundation Establishment Realm experts? It was utterly impossible.

He hadn't made it more than a dozen meters before the long whip lashed out and obliterated his head.

As for the remaining Heavy Saber Sect Cultivators, there was even less to say. Though there were more than twenty of them, every single one was cut down in short order.

Their Scoreboards were collected, and once everything was taken care of, the two figures departed at a leisurely pace.

Hiding behind a distant boulder, Li Zhengyi had witnessed the entire massacre. He was utterly shocked.

Two Foundation Establishment Realm experts working together had just wiped out all the disciples from a Major Sect who were participating in the selection trial.

They had effectively extinguished the future hope of the Heavy Saber Sect. It was incredibly ruthless.

What also shocked Li Zhengyi was that Foundation Establishment experts rarely teamed up. The fact that these two were working together suggested they might be from the same Sect.

In truth, situations like this were unfolding in many other places.

And Li Zhengyi wasn't the only one watching from the shadows; many others had hidden themselves and witnessed the event as well.

Even though it was the middle of the night, daring to light a fire at a time like this was simply asking to die.

By the time the staff arrived, all that remained was a field of corpses. The two assailants were long gone.

Seeing the scene, the staff members could only shake their heads. What could they say? The victims had lit the fire themselves. They were just asking for death.
