My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building
Chapter 338: Other Methods
The Sect Leader of the Celestial Sword Sect had never explicitly stipulated that disciples had to be women. As long as one was capable and possessed a sincere and righteous mind, men were equally welcome.
Besides, the Celestial Sword Sect had too many female disciples at present. It was time to recruit some male disciples to maintain a balance of yin and yang, which would ensure the sect’s steady and stable development.
"I think Master is right. Junior Brother Chu will most likely reach that realm in the future," Bai Han said, looking at Chu Feng with eyes full of astonishment.
"It’s still a long way off. I’m only at the Mid-Stage Core Formation Realm," Chu Feng replied. "Master, when will Senior Sister and I head to the grand ceremony?"
"There’s no hurry. Rest well today. Let Bai Xue make arrangements for you. You can go to Kunlun Mountain tomorrow. Miaoke, you can stay here for a few days. Once the people from the Chu Family arrive, I’ll arrange for someone to take you there," said the Sect Leader of the Celestial Sword Sect.
"Alright," said Su Miaoke.
"Let’s go, Miaoke," Bai Han said with a smile.
The moment she stood up, both Chu Feng and Su Miaoke were stunned, because her figure was absolutely breathtaking.
A single phrase came to Chu Feng’s mind: beauty beyond compare.
The three of them walked out of the Sword Hall and into a side room.
"This is a side hall. Junior Brother, you and your wife can stay here for now. Someone will bring your necessities shortly. If you need anything at all, just inform one of the disciples outside to call for me," Bai Han said.
"Alright, thank you, Senior Sister Bai Han," Chu Feng said with a smile.
He then followed Su Miaoke into the room.
The room was large and luxurious. Its decorations were all of an ancient, simple elegance, and there was incense burning, with faint wisps of blue smoke rising to drift through the air.
Pushing open the window revealed a snowy landscape outside. A cold wind blew into the room, bringing with it a blast of icy air.
The atmosphere was truly unique.
For an ordinary person, spending even one night here would be nearly impossible.
In fact, forget staying a night—it was difficult enough just to enter the Celestial Sword Sect, unless one was an honored guest.
"It’s so cold in this place. A normal person would probably freeze to death. And there isn’t even a fire," Su Miaoke remarked.
"But I like this feeling. I bet it’s really comfortable to sleep here," Su Miaoke added with a smile.
The room’s furnishings were exquisite; all the materials were of the highest quality, with absolutely no signs of cutting corners.
After all, a sect that had been passed down for so many years was bound to have deep foundations.
"Alright, you get some rest. I’m going to see if the tea here is any good." As he spoke, Chu Feng sat down. The room was equipped with tea leaves and a tea table.
In short, a complete set of tea utensils was provided.
Sitting by the window, appreciating the snow while sipping tea—it was an extraordinary feeling.
"Fine, you drink your tea. I’m sleepy, so I’m going to bed." Su Miaoke immediately burrowed under the covers and went to sleep.
After all, the long, arduous journey had left her utterly exhausted.
As Chu Feng gazed at the scenery outside, a contemplative look appeared in his eyes.
’I don’t get it,’ he thought. ’Logically, Divine Soul Cultivation Skills should have been passed down throughout the Martial Arts Realm. So why doesn’t a major sect like the Celestial Sword Sect have one?’
’The Celestial Sword Sect has a legacy spanning thousands of years. How could it possibly lack a Divine Soul Cultivation Skill? There has to be another reason.’
He recalled how the God of Wealth had vaguely mentioned being unable to contact the Celestial Court, with no idea where the All Heavens Immortals and Gods had gone.
’Even the God of Wealth doesn’t know,’ Chu Feng mused. ’Something else must have happened.’
’If something else really did happen, then what was it?’
Chu Feng also wondered about the God of Wealth’s strength. ’Is he at the Golden Core Realm? Or even higher?’
’What exactly did the God of Wealth mean back then? Unable to contact the Celestial Court... could it be that something happened to it?’ Chu Feng could only recall fragmented clues, and for now, he couldn’t make sense of them.
Since he couldn’t figure it out, he decided not to dwell on it.
Chu Feng then drank several pots of tea without realizing it. Afterward, instead of cultivating, he took a moment to assess his current condition.
He felt that relying solely on Merit Points for his Cultivation wasn’t perfect; it had certain drawbacks.
While Merit Points allowed his Cultivation to advance at incredible speeds, the drawback was that it would likely affect his ability to successfully undergo the Crossing the Tribulation.
If he had attempted the Crossing the Tribulation without realizing this, it would have been a disaster. He might have had his body and soul utterly annihilated.
After all, the Celestial Tribulation is a rule established by the Heavenly Dao. It does not bend for any reason. Those who fail to meet its standards are inevitably eliminated.
Until one reached the Nascent Soul Realm, one’s lifespan was ultimately finite.
After all, the physical body would eventually wither and decay.
And so, Chu Feng and Su Miaoke passed a quiet night.
Heavy snow fell unceasingly from the sky. Over the past few days, Martial Cultivators from all over had been steadily arriving in the area.
The King of the Northwest had already sealed off all passages near the Snow Mountain, including the entire Great Snow Mountain and Kunlun Mountain.
