Chapter 221: Chapter 107: Ninth-Grade Demon King of Taihang Mountain! Thunder Essence Fruit Tree

The Mosquito Avatar was no longer what it once was.

Not only did it perfectly conceal its Demon Qi, but it could also bend light to achieve visual invisibility. Even the most subtle signs of life—scent molecules, its pulse, the sound of its blood flowing—were utterly suppressed. It was the ultimate tool for infiltration and reconnaissance.

Lin Yi was fully confident that as long as he didn’t do something stupid like crash right into a Demon King, he would never be discovered.

Soon,

the Mosquito Avatar crossed mountain after mountain, arriving at the outskirts of a valley shrouded in dense Demon Qi.

Even from a great distance,

a terrifying pressure washed over it—heavy as lead and so viscous it felt tangible!

Above the valley, dark red Demon Qi, visible to the naked eye, gathered into clouds. They roiled and churned, emitting a suffocating and malevolent aura.

The air seemed to freeze. An invisible pressure made space itself feel distorted and sluggish.

If an ordinary Low-tier Demon Beast were to approach, it would likely be crushed into a pulp in an instant, not even possessing the right to get near!

Lin Yi’s mind was linked to the avatar, so he felt everything it did.

He gritted his teeth, focusing all his Spiritual Power to painstakingly guide the Mosquito Avatar deeper.

Even so,

the absolute suppression, stemming from a higher order of existence, still made the tiny mosquito’s body tremble violently and uncontrollably.

Each beat of its wings was incredibly sluggish, as if it were flying through tons of mercury. It felt like it could be crushed by the invisible pressure at any moment!

’Powerful! This is far too powerful! Is this the true might of a high-grade Demon King?’

Shockwaves tore through Lin Yi’s mind.

’Just getting close from a distance, the aura they give off is enough to make any living creature tremble and break down, inspiring an instinctual terror that makes you want to bow down in worship!’

If the Mosquito Avatar hadn’t been a creation of the System, its core completely controlled by his will, it would have long ago ended up like those lesser demon beasts, whose bloodlines forced them to prostrate themselves on the ground and tremble in fear.

The Level-based suppression among Demon Beasts was far more cruel and direct than the realm-based suppression among humans!

Like a mayfly struggling in a tempest, the Mosquito Avatar pushed against the despair-inducing pressure, moving with agonizing slowness deeper into the valley.

Finally,

it found a crevice in a protruding, moss-covered Giant Stone, where it landed silently and concealed itself perfectly.

Through the avatar’s eyes, Lin Yi cautiously gazed toward the heart of the valley.

’One, two, three, four... Huh?!’

In the center of the valley,

four figures exuding a monstrous, ferocious might stood in a tense standoff, each occupying one of the four cardinal directions.

There was a giant snake, its entire body as white and translucent as jade. It was coiled like a small mountain and stretched nearly a hundred meters long!

Each of its scales was the size of a tabletop. Under the dim light filtering through gaps in the Demon Qi clouds, they shimmered with the cold, hard luster of metal, radiating a bone-chilling aura.

A black yak, as massive as a moving fortress.

It stood five to six meters tall, its body covered in thick, satin-like black fur. Each strand was so glossy that it faintly reflected a dark light in the dim surroundings, making it look as though it were clad in heavy black iron armor. Where its four hooves touched the earth, the ground trembled slightly.

A burly yellow giant ape, four to five meters tall.

It held a pitch-black staff forged from some unknown metal. Its face resembled the Duke of Thunder, and its fierce eyes darted about. Bulging muscles rippled across its body, radiating a sense of explosive power as it bared its fangs and warily surveyed its surroundings.

A giant golden eagle with a wingspan of nearly ten meters.

It stood proudly atop a Giant Stone that resembled a solitary peak.

Its Feathers seemed to be forged from pure gold. Its sharp eyes, like a pair of ice-quenched swords, scanned the area below. Its hooked beak and sharp talons glinted with a terrifying light.

These four Demon Kings merely stood there, yet the hostility and killing intent saturating the air between them was so thick it nearly solidified, creating invisible sparks as it clashed.

Their terrifying auras pressed in on one another,

causing the very air within the valley to emit faint crackling sounds, as if it could not bear the strain.

The tension was stretched to its absolute limit.

It felt as if a single spark could ignite a world-ending battle!

However,

strangely,

none of the four kings made a move.

They merely remained locked onto one another, maintaining a dangerous equilibrium.

’How are there only four?!’

Alarm bells screamed in Lin Yi’s mind.

The Tracking map clearly displayed five points of light, each representing an incomparably powerful source of energy!

’Could it be...’

’...that another Demon King is lurking in the shadows, like a deadly viper waiting for the perfect moment to strike?’

Lin Yi tensed.

He directed the Mosquito Avatar to look toward the location of the fifth point of light on the map—

It was a steep cliff face.

There, on the bare, brown cliff face, a peculiar tree grew tenaciously!

The tree was only about ten feet tall, its trunk gnarled and ancient. Its entire surface was covered in complex, arcane patterns of deep purple, as if streams of Thunder were flowing within.

Its canopy was sparse, with just a single, fist-sized fruit hanging from a branch. This strange fruit was wreathed in fine tendrils of purple electricity and radiated a terrifying wave of energy.

And the source of that fifth point of light—an energy signature powerful enough to rival a Demon King—was this very tree!

’Could it be a powerful tree demon?’

Lin Yi observed it carefully and quickly realized something was off.

This tree wasn’t emitting any Demon Qi.

The tree hadn’t become a demon!

’It’s not a tree demon! This is a... Spirit Medicine Tree!’

Understanding dawned on Lin Yi in an instant, followed by a tidal wave of shock!

’That fruit... what kind of Heavenly and Earthly Treasure is it? The energy it radiates is enough to rival a Demon King?!’

Lin Yi felt his entire understanding of the world being overturned. It was unbelievable.

Although the Spiritual Qi on Blue Star was steadily recovering, the planet was still relatively barren overall.

As far as he knew, the highest-grade Spirit Medicine that could grow naturally on Blue Star was Third Grade, at best. Perhaps with the rising concentration of Spiritual Qi, a Fourth Grade Spirit Medicine might now be possible.
