“Can’t fly up, it seems we can only move forward.”

The group had no choice but to head towards the direction of the distant large city.

However, if they could fly, they could directly fly off from the mountain, but at this moment, they could only follow the winding mountain path.

“The cycle of time?” Immortal Lord Yu Yin said, looking pained, “Then how do we eliminate it? If we keep moving forward, will we just end up back where we started, with the time loop returning us to a day before? Or does it mean no matter where we go, once a day passes, we’ll loop back to the previous day? Or perhaps, a day’s time will definitely loop back a certain distance?”

The Celestial Wheel Immortal Monarch sighed helplessly, “For now, I can’t determine that.”

As he spoke, he looked at Cao Zhen; among them, Cao Zhen was also skilled in the Dao of time reincarnation besides him.

Cao Zhen shook his head helplessly and said, “My way of time can’t match yours. If you can’t see through it, I definitely can’t. We can only continue forward and keep trying. Or, we try a different path.”

The group, with no other choice, decided to take a different route forward.

This time, they moved even faster than before.

Unknowingly, another day passed.

This time, the temporal force did not appear.

They remained cautious and continued forward. Before they knew it, another two hours passed, and the temporal force still had not appeared.

The Frost Immortal Monarch breathed out lightly and said, “A day has passed, and another two hours have gone by with no temporal force. It seems the place we were traveling before had a problem. So, our current path is correct, and if we continue forward, we should exit this mountain range and enter that ancient city.”

However, the Daybreak Immortal Monarch still looked solemn and said, “We can’t be careless. We, uh, someone is here.”

As his words fell, a rustling sound came.

Everyone heard it, and their celestial energy surged wildly within them as they looked warily in the direction of the sound.

Though their powers were formidable, the cultivators who could enter here came from one race after another, and no one knew how many Daluo Golden Immortals they might encounter or even a Quasi-Saint.

But soon, the rustling sound grew smaller and quickly disappeared.

Immortal Lord Yu Yin expressed surprise and said, “Is this… did they notice other cultivators here and decided to retreat on their own? They didn’t even check our cultivation base and retreated directly. Is it because their strength is too weak, not even having a Daluo Golden Immortal, so they retreated upon sensing other cultivators?”

“No, that’s not possible,” the Daybreak Immortal Monarch nodded slightly but then suddenly changed his tone, “Though it could be intentional, to lure us into an ambush. To some cultivators, others are treasures, walking opportunities. Killing us would mean obtaining the treasures we carry.”

The group nodded in agreement, remaining alert as they moved forward.

They didn’t head in the direction from which the sound came but chose another mountain path.

On the other side, a group of five cultivators ran off into the distance.

Each of them had the cultivation base of a Taichi Golden Immortal, running while muttering, “Everyone, we can’t go the same way as before; we need to change paths again.”

“There are cultivators ahead; currently, we’re all Taichi Golden Immortals. Encountering them would almost certainly mean death. No force would let five Taichi Golden Immortals go.”

“Neither of these paths is an option; we have to find a different one.”

“Hopefully this time, we’ll find a safer path and, ideally, one that can restore our cultivation.”

Among the five, the Tortoise Snake cultivator said nothing, merely following behind the others.

Slowly, who knows how much time passed, but as they moved forward, footsteps echoed from behind a mountain peak.

In an instant, the five cultivators were shocked.

“More cultivators.”

“Quick, retreat.”

“Damn it, there’s no place to hide around here.”

“No choice but to fall back for now.”

As they exclaimed, figures appeared on the other side of the mountain.

Cao Zhen and the others traveled along the mountain path, eventually hearing footsteps again after some time.

Then, the footsteps began to fade, indicating that the others were retreating once more.

“Strange, again with the retreating cultivators. And from the sound of it, seems like it’s those same ones we encountered before. Is some cultivator up to something?”

The Daybreak Immortal Monarch frowned but did not wait where they were, nor did they change their route, instead bypassing the mountain peak swiftly.

Immediately, five fleeing figures appeared in their view, including a familiar figure among the five.

“It’s that Tortoise Snake cultivator; he entered here too. No, his cultivation base!”

The Daybreak Immortal Monarch’s face suddenly showed a look of shock, whispering, “He was clearly a Daluo Golden Immortal, how has he become a Taichi Golden Immortal? Even if he had released all his nurtured poisonous insects and all of his poisonous energy, even if he faced an attack from other cultivators, he shouldn’t have reverted to a Taichi Golden Immortal.
