My Martial Spirit is Nanobot
Chapter 424 Warning & Deal
He dismissed his spirit sword and, suppressing the urge to sigh, walked inside, the three disciples falling into formation around him. The interior was even more extravagant than the exterior, lined with polished mahogany and shimmering silk curtains, all silent testaments to the profitability of his mission.
The Mid Jindan disciple led the way past the lower floor and up the grand staircase. They stopped before a large, double-wide suite on the top floor, the mid disciple then he turned and glanced at Wang Yi.
"Brother Luo awaits," the disciple said, pushing the door open without knocking.
Wang Yi walked into the suite. The room was spacious and luxurious, but his gaze immediately settled on the figure lounging on a silk cushion near a large, ornate window.
Luo, a young man who looked barely twenty, exuded an aura of supreme power that silently pressed down on the entire room. He was dressed in a pristine white sect robe, and his eyes, cold and sharp, opened as Wang Yi entered. He was unequivocally a Peak Jindan cultivator, on the very precipice of the Nascent Soul Realm.
"Young Master Wang Yi," Luo said, his voice slow and dangerously smooth, devoid of any genuine warmth. He lifted a hand and gestured to a chair opposite him. "Please, sit. I invited you to discuss an important issue."
After asking him to sit down, Luo glanced at the disciple who had escorted Wang Yi and was standing behind him, near the ornate door. The disciple immediately understood the silent instruction. He gave a curt nod and silently exited the luxurious suite, ensuring the heavy door clicked shut behind him.
Wang Yi, now alone with the powerful Luo, felt the full weight of the other man's imposing Peak Jindan aura, but he forced himself to maintain his composure. He moved to the chair Luo had indicated, settling into the finely upholstered seat. "Please tell me, Young master Luo," Wang Yi began, his voice calm despite the circumstances, "why did you invite me here?"
Luo nodded composedly. He allowed a brief moment of silence to stretch between them, letting the anticipation thicken the air. Then, his cold eyes fixed on Wang Yi. "I won't beat the bushes around," Luo stated, his voice dropping slightly, becoming serious. "I want you to give up your mission and leave this realm..."
Wang Yi's carefully constructed calm shattered instantly. His eyes widened, and he shot upright from his seat, staring at the pristine white robes of the youth. "You.. you are," he stammered, the realization hitting him like a spiritual shockwave: the powerful core disciple, Luo, was also a Source Walker.
Luo remained entirely unperturbed by the reaction. "Sit down," he ordered, his tone flat and unassailable. He then picked up the exquisite porcelain teacup on the small table beside him and began taking a slow, deliberate sip. He set the cup down before continuing. "I am from the capital Luo Clan... you must have heard about us..." he said, his gaze coolly assessing Wang Yi. "I know about your background, you are from the Yangcheng Wang Clan. It won't be wise for you to go against me and incur trouble upon your clan."
Wang Yi's shoulders slumped at the confirmation. He let out a sigh of profound resignation and sat back down. 'Should I consider it as my luck or bad luck,' He thought, 'I met two origin seekers in such a short time.'
He immediately shifted his focus, glancing at Luo with scrutiny and a renewed, sharp vigilance. 'Capital Luo Clan,' His gaze became deeper, the name echoing with immense weight in his mind.
'I have heard of it, one of the powerful clan with Tier 6 expert... even in the immortal civilizations, such expert is a big shot, Void refining expert, the master that empty self and integrate the soul with the void after the soul formation realm... such expert can crack open localized space and attack thousand of miles. He is right, I really can't afford to offend him....'
After a rapid internal assessment of the potential consequences, balancing the pros and cons, Wang Yi looked back at Luo. His expression was now visibly filled with helplessness. "Young Master Luo, I am not interested in offending you," he said respectfully, "but can you tell me why you want me to leave this realm and give up my mission?"
Luo heard his words and shook his head expressionlessly. "I can't tell you all the details," he said, his voice flat. "But this realm is important for my clan. I am already on the verge of clearing this realm. You must know about the conditions required to clear the realm, as your Wang Clan also controls a few realms".
Wang Yi nodded, the pieces of the puzzle clicking into place. Luo was aiming for a complete takeover, turning this spiritual world into a private domain for his powerful family.
"One of the main conditions is that you must control a powerful native force in a realm," Wang Yi stated, his voice quiet as he confirmed his realization. "And the other condition is that there must be no other Source Walker in this realm". Wang Yi nodded once more and then fell silent, the meaning of Luo's demand now painfully clear: he was the unwanted element, the final obstacle.
Luo also nodded, looking at him silently while taking slow sips from his tea, patiently waiting for Wang Yi's next move.
After a strained silence, Wang Yi finally glanced back up at Luo. His expression was hesitant, caught between resentment over losing a profitable mission and the pragmatism of survival. "Young Master Luo," he began, carefully choosing his words, "I need something as a compensation, as I can't leave this realm empty-handed".
Luo's unblinking gaze remained fixed on him, but he reached into his sleeve and casually threw a small, intricately carved storage ring toward Wang Yi. "This ring contains enough resources to allow you to reach the Jindan realm," Luo stated, the offer immense and dismissive at the same time.
Wang Yi's attention immediately snapped to the silver ring. He quickly grabbed it out of the air and, after dipping his spiritual sense inside, his pupils brightened with genuine shock and delight. 'Gaining such resources in my first mission is not bad at all,' he mused internally. The compensation was more than generous… It was enough to elevate his cultivation to several major stages.
A moment later, he thought of something else, a small, cheeky idea that tugged at the corner of his mind, 'Right, if I am already planning to leave this realm… I can sell my whole business and earn a final reward from my source talent… After consuming the wealth gained from this final trade, I will definitely reach mid mid or even high foundation building realm.'
He raised his head and looked at Luo with a slightly impish expression. "Also, Young Master Luo, I have another condition, if you don't mind".
Luo's brow furrowed slightly at the audacity, but the frown quickly smoothed out. He set his teacup down and asked calmly, "What is it?".
Wang Yi immediately pressed his advantage. "I want you to buy my business and all my Wang Inn branches from me, using the currency of this realm."
Luo fell silent, staring at the ambitious, small-time Source Walker who dared to negotiate. Then, he let out a short, dry chuckle and nodded. "I will buy it from you," he conceded. "It's a good business, although you have copied the whole business model, including the recipes".
Wang Yi smiled a little, acknowledging the truth in the statement, and then nodded again completely relaxed. "Thank you, Young Master Luo."
Wang Yi stood up from the plush chair, gave a final, polite nod to the young man whose influence far surpassed his own, and turned to leave. He walked toward the double doors and exited the luxurious suite without looking back, the silver ring clutched tightly in his hand.
Luo watched the ornate door click shut, a finality to the sound that sealed their agreement. Alone again, he leaned back into the silk cushion. He raised the teacup, his gaze fixed on the closed door, and a thoughtful flicker, cold and predatory, flashed through his pupils.
'This guy is really a noob,' Luo mused internally, taking a slow sip of the high-quality tea. 'Probably it's his first mission in this realm. It's a pity such people don't live long. Anyway, it's a good idea to send away a potential rival and avoid conflict with a clan by providing a few resources as compensation. It will take a while for me to break through the Yuan Ying realm.' Luo thought and then his gaze became deeper, 'I can't afford to leave an uncertain factor in this realm while i am away.'
Luo finished his tea, set the cup down, and stood up smoothly, tidying his pristine white robes before walking toward the exit.
Outside the room, the three disciples who had guarded the entrance immediately straightened, standing like silent, vigilant guards. Luo glanced at them.
"Let's go," he commanded, his voice clear and resonant. "We have to return to the sect."
He didn't wait for a response. Luo extended his hand, and a gleaming spirit sword, radiating an immense spiritual pressure, materialized and stabilized beneath his feet. He stepped onto it, balancing effortlessly, and flew instantly toward the distant, towering mountain region ahead.
The other three disciples exchanged a swift, silent look. They nodded simultaneously. "Yes, Young Master Luo!" they replied in unison, summoning their own spirit swords, and flew swiftly to follow close behind their young master.
