My Martial Arts Level Never Drops
Chapter 582 - 250: Demon Hunt
Chapter 582: Chapter 250: Demon Hunt
Qin Fang smiled. "Don’t worry, Martial Uncle. I cherish my life more than anything."
Fan Zhengchu was taken aback for a moment when he heard this, but then he laughed. "In that case, I can rest easy... All right, you should go and get ready."
He waved his hand dismissively.
The map had just shown Langya Peak and Baiyun Mountain, which Song Ye had mentioned. Qin Fang had seen that they were at least a hundred li apart.
For Ordinary People, such a defense line would be a complete joke.
...But for the Sect’s flying Martial Artists at the True Essence Second Realm and above, it wasn’t too much of a stretch.
Next, his martial uncle would have to deploy their forces, find the high ground along this stretch, and strategically position the disciples for defense.
This would ensure they could watch over and support one another.
If a large-scale Demon swarm appeared somewhere that couldn’t be handled, disciples from other defensive points could rush to provide aid in a timely manner.
Qin Fang had nothing to prepare, so he spoke up at once. "In that case, Martial Uncle, this disciple will take his leave."
Hearing this, Fan Zhengchu nodded. "Very well. Remember, safety first."
"Yes."
With that said, Qin Fang transformed into a streak of Gang Light, leaped from the Cloud Boat, and shot through the sky.
The other four True Inheritance disciples were in the middle of their own preparations. Noticing this, they were all momentarily stunned.
"Huh? Why did Junior Brother Qin just leave? I was hoping to team up with him..."
one of the senior brothers said.
"Never mind. Since our junior brother has already left, I’ll go alone as well... Didn’t Martial Uncle say this was a trial? It’s a good chance to see what I’m capable of," an Elder’s True Inheritance disciple said, his eyes narrowed.
He was from Wuhui Peak.
The Elder’s True Inheritance disciple from the Luzhan Lineage nodded. "Right, let’s all operate independently then."
The other two had no objections. They made some brief preparations, informed Fan Zhengchu, and then departed, streaking through the sky one after another.
Seeing all the True Inheritance disciples leave, Fan Zhengchu let out a soft sigh, a little worried.
But fledglings must eventually learn to fly on their own.
Besides, the Golden Rainbow Sword Sect had truly made thorough arrangements this time, so there was nothing to complain about.
He handed the map Jade Scroll to the other disciples for them to inspect, while simultaneously ordering the Cloud Boat to change course and prepare to establish the defensive line...
Qin Fang was unaware of these events. He had already flown into a region that was likely teeming with Exotic Species.
He flew at an incredible speed. Gazing down at the mountain range below and comparing it to the map in his mind, he quickly pinpointed his current location.
He also located the Red Cloud Mountain Range, the source of the current trouble.
’It’s not too far from here, just over two thousand li. Flying there will probably take half a day... I didn’t expect to find traces of Demons even out here... It seems this situation is indeed serious.’
As he thought, his gaze swept over the land below. Soon, he spotted a small village.
But... the village had already been wiped out.
Qin Fang frowned slightly.
Houses lay in ruins, the ground littered with severed limbs and darkened bloodstains.
He shook his head, didn’t linger, and continued on his way.
Soon after, he spotted a few Demons.
They were moose, of all things!
...But these were no graceful creatures. Their eyes were blood-red, their demonic auras surged, and a single glance told him they had feasted on human flesh!
...Once an Exotic Species mutates and its bloodline awakens, even herbivores can become omnivores, eating anything and everything.
The Physiques of these Moose Demons were formidable. The largest stood at least six or seven meters tall, and despite its bounding gait through the forest, it was incredibly fast... They were clearly out hunting.
Now that he had found them, there was nothing more to be said. With a flicker of movement, Qin Fang shot toward them.
The Moose Demons’ speed was clearly no match for his. In the blink of an eye, Qin Fang had intercepted them deep in the mountains.
But a Demon’s Spiritual Sense is incredibly sharp, and this is especially true for deer-type Demons.
Qin Fang hadn’t even circulated his Deep Stream Returning Technique when the largest Moose Demon raised its head and immediately spotted him descending from the sky.
BEELLOW!~
The Moose Demon let out a long cry.
The remaining three Moose Demons whipped their heads around to look up at Qin Fang.
The next moment, Demon Essence flared around them. Light bloomed from one of the demon’s antlers as it leaped into the air, charging headfirst at Qin Fang.
Qin Fang raised an eyebrow but didn’t dodge, simply letting it crash into him.
With a loud BANG, the antler slammed into Qin Fang’s body.
The force was surprisingly strong.
But Qin Fang’s body didn’t even sway, let alone suffer any injury. The attack had done nothing more than cause his Abyss Water Armor to shimmer faintly.
Instead, with a CRACK, a section of the antler snapped off.
The Moose Demon was clearly stunned. It had already reached the Extraordinary realm; although it couldn’t speak, its intelligence was comparable to a human teenager’s. It immediately realized this human was a tough opponent.
It wanted to run.
But in the next instant, a sheet of Profound Ice began to spread down from its broken antler!
The ice spread with incredible speed. The Moose Demon only had time to let out a panicked bellow before its head was completely encased, immobilizing it. Its body then plummeted from the sky.
While still in mid-air, the Profound Ice rapidly engulfed it completely.
CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!
A wide swath of trees below was smashed to pieces.
By the time it hit the ground, it was nothing but a block of Profound Ice five or six meters in diameter.
...The Eternal Freeze Nature was no joke.
This terrified the other three Moose Demons. Without a moment’s hesitation, they let out panicked bellows and scattered in different directions, their speed astonishing.
They were almost as fast as Xile had been.
Qin Fang narrowed his eyes. With a casual gesture, he condensed a mote of True Gang on his fingertip.
Then, he flicked it.
Instantly, the mote of Profound Nether True Gang shot out, moving far faster than the fleeing Moose Demons.
WHOOSH!
THWIP!
One of the Moose Demons was pierced through the neck in mid-leap.
"BELLOW!~"
The Moose Demon let out a single cry, and in the next instant, Profound Ice covered its entire body.
It plummeted to the ground.
WHOOSH! WHOOSH!
Following that, two more beams of True Gang’s Profound Light shot out.
The two Moose Demons that had gotten farther away were completely unable to dodge, suffering the same fate as the first two.
THUD. THUD.
Countless trees and rocks were crushed by the heavy blocks of Profound Ice.
Qin Fang glanced at the scene, then departed without lingering, his figure streaking through the sky.
...’How long has it been, and I’ve already run into Moose Demons? The number of Demons in this area is truly immense...’ he thought.
(Woke up with a terrible headache today. Not sure why, maybe I caught a chill since the weather’s gotten colder... Ugh. I’ll just release three Chapters today; my head is really killing me. I’ll get back to the two-a-day schedule tomorrow. Please forgive me, everyone!~)
