My Magic Has No Upper Limit
Chapter 342 - 307: Bountiful Harvest (2)
Chapter 342: Chapter 307: Bountiful Harvest (2)
The cut tore open wider, dealing even more severe damage.
The Minotaur’s body convulsed violently, its limbs scrabbling madly at the dirt.
Then it spewed a large mouthful of black blood mixed with fragments of internal organs.
Marcus, Zelir, Valles, Gray.
The four of them had drawn enough attention.
Thus, amidst the battlefield, another, more spectral figure suddenly appeared!
Hill!
The Minotaur that Hill had targeted didn’t seem to have noticed the killing intent from behind it.
It was angrily swinging its Stone Axe, preparing to strike at Gray.
When she was five or six meters from the Minotaur, Hill leaped with a sudden burst of power.
Her robe billowed open in the wind like spreading wings. Hill’s body was as light as a butterfly.
Two short swords, glinting coldly, slid out from her left and right sleeves and were caught in a reverse grip.
And then...
Thrust!
Zelir’s eyes widened slightly as he witnessed the scene.
’So fast!’
In his vision, Hill’s body had almost become a blur.
Zelir had no idea how she had managed to accelerate a second time in mid-air without any external force!
Only then did the Minotaur realize the approaching danger, but it was too late.
The two short swords plunged viciously into the Minotaur’s sturdy neck. Then, the Shadow Fighting Qi imbued within them erupted instantly!
"BANG! BANG!!"
The Fighting Qi tore through the muscle tissue of the Minotaur’s neck from the inside out!
The scene was extremely bloody.
Like a bottle cap blown off by high-pressure gas, the Minotaur’s head was severed clean from its body, flying four or five meters into the air.
Its neck was completely obliterated!
Hill didn’t let any of the blood and gore spatter onto her.
She tapped her toes on the Minotaur’s shoulder, using the reactive force to leap back and land lightly, avoiding the rain of blood.
"Hmph..."
A smile appeared on her face...
It was a light chuckle filled with satisfaction.
The tide of battle turned in an instant.
There had been nine Minotaurs. Two were taken out in a surprise attack by Zelir and Valles.
Then Gray took out one, Hill took out another, and Valles heavily wounded one more.
Now, only four Minotaurs were left standing on the field.
And their team had five people in total.
A Middle Level Professional facing a single Minotaur was basically a situation of guaranteed dominance.
Zelir also finally no longer needed to cast Fractal Fire to relieve the pressure on Marcus.
Now...
He could go for one-on-one kills.
The Aurora Energy Beam erupted once more!
The brilliant and deadly azure beam lit up the camp.
Like an extended Light Saber, it crossed the battlefield in an instant and shattered a Minotaur’s head.
’Three left...’
Marcus no longer had to pathetically take a beating.
He charged forward like a wild bull, the spike on his shield ramming directly into the abdomen of the Minotaur before him!
The steel spike in the center of his Tower Shield, a good dozen centimeters long, pierced through the Minotaur’s thick, tough belly hide and plunged into its guts!
His Battle Saber followed, hacking into the opening created by the spike and twisting around!
Blood sprayed out wildly, splattering all over Marcus’s shield.
On the other side, Hill, having revealed her position, had lost the advantage of a sneak attack.
Thus, her fighting style became more conservative.
Facing a Minotaur that was now on guard and charging at her with a roar, engaging in close-quarters combat was clearly not a wise move.
Wrapping her Shadow Fighting Qi around specially reinforced Flying Sabers, Hill leaped back and flung them forward!
The hidden weapons cut through the haze, six Flying Sabers blanketing the Minotaur charging toward her.
"WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH..."
The Minotaur had no time to protect its face.
A saber to the nose, a saber to the eye.
And because it had been roaring with its mouth wide open while running, two more Flying Sabers plunged into its mouth.
"Guh... Gak..."
The Minotaur’s roar was choked back into its throat as it clutched its face and collapsed to the ground.
Just as Hill was about to make her next move, a Rhombus Missile shot past from behind her!
"BANG!"
The surging Magic Power exploded, killing the downed Minotaur with a headshot.
Hill frowned slightly and glanced in Zelir’s direction.
After taking out the injured Minotaur with an Arcane Missile, Zelir didn’t stop, immediately beginning to charge another.
This time, his target was the Minotaur fighting Gray.
"SWISH!"
A flash of sword light. Gray was getting into the swing of things; he had just seized an opportunity to sever the Minotaur’s axe-wielding forearm and was about to press his advantage.
"Get back!"
Zelir’s warning shout rang out.
Without a second thought, Gray leaped back to create distance.
An Arcane Missile struck, blasting into the Minotaur’s chest and leaving a charred, bloody crater.
A severed arm and a hole in its chest—the terrifying damage instantly left the Minotaur on the brink of death.
"Whoa, perfect timing!"
Gray’s face lit up, and he let out a whistle.
Just as he was about to step forward and deliver the finishing blow, Zelir fired another Arcane Missile!
"BANG!"
This one was a precise headshot.
It blew away half the Minotaur’s head, its brains spilling onto the ground.
Gray shot Zelir a surprised look.
’Is his Magic Power free or something...?’
The remaining Minotaurs were basically all finished off by Zelir.
He "kindly" added an Arcane Missile to each Minotaur’s head, ensuring they died one hundred percent by his own hand.
Then there was the Minotaur whose shoulder Valles had shattered, which was now lying on the ground groaning in agony, no longer a threat.
Zelir decided to save some Magic Power.
And so...
"SHIING."
The longsword at Zelir’s waist was drawn, its blade gleaming with a cold light.
He planted his feet, twisted his waist, and raised the sword over his head with both hands.
Then, like a golf swing, he brought the sword down!
Zelir felt a jolt run through the web of his thumb.
’Have to admit, the muscles on a Minotaur’s neck are ridiculously developed... This strike didn’t even sever the neck completely.’
It did, however, sever the Minotaur’s windpipe. Its pained howls turned into a hissing sound like leaking air, as a large amount of blood mixed with bubbles sprayed wildly from the cut.
’Sorry...’ Zelir thought. ’I should have given you a quick end.’
Another strike!
This time, the coup de grâce was successful.
The sharp blade severed the cervical vertebrae, and the head rolled away.
The camp was finally quiet.
The Minotaur tribe, wiped out!

Magic Contract
Another six-point increase in Spirit.
Originally, after using Healing Skill to treat Aidi, and casting quite a few spells in this battle...
Zelir’s Blue Bar was less than half full.
However, due to the level up, the Spring Seed had become more full and active, replenishing some of it.
It could be considered a form of "sustaining war with war."
Zelir had originally intended to add the three extra attribute points from Magic Contract to Constitution, bringing it up to 114 along with Power.
But thinking about how his sword hadn’t cut clean through the Minotaur’s neck just now, Zelir added them to Power instead.
’I need to be even stronger...’
"Done!"
Zelir nodded in satisfaction.
"Tsk tsk... Zelir, you’re really honing your combat skills."
After the battle ended, Gray remarked with emotion, "Not even Warriors fight as hard as you do."
’As expected of the team’s workhorse. He’s diligent about taking missions and diligent in battle. If he’s not strong after working this hard, then who is? The key thing is, even though Zelir is enthusiastic about dishing out punishment to Demons, he won’t short you on your cut of the loot afterward. What a great guy! Where else could you find a Mage like him?’
"Um... next time, please try not to throw Magic where I’ve thrown my Hidden Weapons."
Hill walked over from the camp, her tone tinged with distress, "I need to retrieve them... A custom set isn’t cheap, you know."
She had just gone to look, and the special Flying Sabers stuck in the Minotaur’s face had all been blown to bits by Zelir.
"Oh..."
Zelir scratched his head in embarrassment. "I’ll be more careful in the future."
After all the Minotaurs were eliminated, it was time for everyone’s favorite part: cleaning up the battlefield.
Collecting the loot from nine Minotaurs was also a laborious task.
Marcus and Valles cut open the Minotaurs’ chests and began digging out the Demon Cores inside.
The Demon Cores produced by these Minotaurs from the ruins were different from the Minotaur Demon Cores from the outside world.
Their color was much deeper, suggesting the energy concentration within was also higher. They would surely sell for a good price.
