My Magic Has No Upper Limit

Chapter 124 - 123: Hunt Assembly

Chapter 124: Chapter 123: Hunt Assembly

Zelir was also captivated by the scene before him.

He could clearly perceive that every firework contained an exquisite manipulation of Magic Power.

It wasn’t just a simple explosion, but a perfect weaving of elements, form, and light and shadow.

And so, beneath the Technique Celestial Calculation, a series of new Magic was being added to the analysis queue.

Butterfly Fireworks Skill, analysis progress—2%

Ancient Tree Fireworks Skill, analysis progress—2%

Griffin Fireworks Skill, analysis progress—2%

"..."

’Good thing analyzing this stuff doesn’t use up memory or anything. Otherwise, my brain would probably just crash...’

Zelir sighed.

Just then, a golden ball of light slowly rose.

It didn’t explode violently like the other fireworks. Instead, it gently unfurled in the air, blossoming into a huge and robust stalk of golden wheat.

It was a pattern symbolizing harvest and hope. Its gentle light showered down, bathing the world below in a golden radiance.

Watching this tranquil, beautiful scene, Aurora couldn’t help but close her eyes.

She clasped her hands together and made a silent wish.

A moment later, Aurora opened her eyes and saw Zelir beside her, still gazing quietly at the night sky.

"Zelir, aren’t you going to make a wish?"

"Hmm..."

Zelir returned to the present. After a moment’s consideration, he copied her and closed his eyes.

He didn’t ask for invincible Power or endless wealth. He just silently made a simple wish.

He wished that his path ahead would be just as smooth as this moment.

Both in the immediate future and the more distant one.

...

「Alberti Manor.」

On the terrace, the night wind gently rustled the hem of Bev’s magnificent gown.

"How beautiful..."

The brilliant starry sky was reflected in Bev’s eyes.

Magnificent fireworks flashed and bloomed against the pitch-black canvas of the night, then gradually faded into specks of starlight.

When the giant golden stalk of wheat took shape in the night sky, Bev pointed excitedly and exclaimed,

"Dad, look! That’s the Fireworks Magic I designed!"

Duke Alberti, Patriarch of the Alberti Family and one of the wealthiest men in Black Stone Town.

He followed his daughter’s finger and looked up. A kind, doting smile graced his face, which, after years of navigating the world of commerce, was usually stern and imposing.

"Not bad at all, Bev. It seems you have been studying hard."

"Of course!" Bev lifted her chin proudly.

Once the excitement from the fireworks show gradually subsided, the night sky returned to its tranquil state.

"Bev, the Monster Hunting will be starting soon. How are you feeling?" Duke asked, looking at his daughter.

"I’m completely prepared!" Bev said, clenching her fists in confidence.

"During the Monster Hunting, remember not to overreach. You’re still just a Magic Apprentice, and one who leans toward research at that. You have practically zero combat experience."

Duke advised earnestly, "Just treat this as an opportunity to gain some worldly experience. Stick close to your instructor, and don’t get into any trouble."

"I know, I know, Dad. You’re always so long-winded..."

Bev huffed. "I’m not a child anymore."

...

「Early Morning.」

A thin mist enveloped Black Stone Town like a silken veil, and the lingering atmosphere of yesterday’s festivities still hung in the streets.

The chill of late autumn had begun to permeate the air. Zelir popped his collar against the cold and walked with a brisk step to the Mage’s Guild.

Today was the day Instructor Marvin had told the Monster Hunting participants to gather.

The sun had just crested the distant mountains, and the Guild, a departure from its usual morning quiet, was already bustling with activity.

The Monster Hunting event had generated a lot of buzz, and many Mages who weren’t able to participate couldn’t help but come over to watch the excitement.

However, it was still early, and there was some time before the official assembly.

Zelir crossed the lawn, deciding to stop by the general affairs office first.

He wanted to see for himself just how far his Magic Power Strength was from the standard required for a Middle Level Mage.

The general affairs office was dimly lit. Just as Zelir had expected, the same old Elder Mage who was always dozing off was behind the counter.

Perhaps because the weather had turned colder, he was no longer slumped over the desk, but was instead curled up in a high-backed chair.

His head bobbed up and down, as if he might tumble under the desk at any second.

"Excuse me."

Zelir tapped lightly on the desk, his tone polite.

"I’d like to use the Room of Serenity to test my Magic Power. Are there any procedures I need to follow?"

"Oh, it’s you..."

The Elder Mage raised his eyes to look at Zelir.

Then he shifted into a more comfortable position, let out a yawn, and said in a lazy voice,

"Marvin already came by and gave me a heads-up. If no one’s taking an assessment in there, you can just go right in."

"Oh... Thank you."

Zelir was a little surprised.

’I didn’t expect Instructor Marvin to be so meticulous, arranging even this small matter for me.’

Zelir gently pushed open the door to the Room of Serenity.

The room was empty.

He walked to the Crystal Pillar in the center of the room and took a deep breath.

Zelir hadn’t tested his Magic Power Strength since passing the Magic Apprentice assessment over a month ago, during his second re-evaluation with Instructor Marvin.

He extended his right hand, slowly placing his palm against the smooth surface of the Crystal Pillar.

HUMMM...

As Zelir channeled his Magic Power into it, a soft blue light emerged from within the dormant Crystal Pillar.

The light no longer crept upward as it had during his time as a Magic Apprentice. It shot up with unstoppable momentum, climbing rapidly.

One meter... one and a half meters... two meters!

The height easily surpassed Zelir’s previous record of around one and a half meters and continued to rise steadily.

It finally stopped at approximately the two-meter mark.

Moreover, the color of the light began to transition from pure blue to a faint purple at the edges.

This was excellent progress, but Zelir’s face showed little joy.

He looked up toward the top of the Crystal Pillar, recalling the height Instructor Marvin had so easily reached that day.

’That was the three-meter mark...’

’I’m still a long way off.’

’My current Spirit Attribute is 24 points higher than when I was a Magic Apprentice.’

’How many more Spirit points will I need to reach three meters...?’

"Still not enough..."

Zelir withdrew his palm. The faint sense of satisfaction he felt after being promoted to Junior Mage was instantly replaced by a powerful sense of urgency.

’Besides Magic Power Strength, I still have to master Four Level Multi-layered Spell Structure Magic.’

’Four Level Multi-layered Spell Structure Magic...’

Zelir walked out of the Room of Serenity, pondering.

’I’ll just have to see if the three Upper Level Mages use it during this Monster Hunting,’ he thought.

’If I’m lucky enough to witness it, it’ll save me a lot of effort.’

’There’s absolutely no way I’m buying it from the exchange. The price is sure to be astronomical, no doubt about it.’
