My Mage System (BL)

Chapter 342

Caleb frowned when he heard the one about the Knight of Darkness and that he was able to stand up to Kevin while he had his Stage 3 activated and was fighting in pairs with Axel who apparently was also at full strength and then he said to them : “I’m sure you know it already, but if it’s true, then this Knight of Darkness is at least as strong as Mykael or even stronger than him, and that means that Lilith has been fooling us all this time and that she is much, much stronger than we thought.”

Miguel just said to him : “Indeed, Lilith has always been discreet and she hasn’t caused any real troubles for us. Being the Goddess and creator of all demons, she must have known that we were going to keep an eye on her more than the other ancient Gods.”

Mykael then asked them: “But if she’s as powerful as you say she is, how did Kevin manage to immobilize her so easily with the Chains of Restraint and put an ice spike right in the middle of her forehead. Not to mention Colin who also managed to damage her meridians even if it was only temporary.”

Elias then said to him: “A God is not all powerful and he can be defeated. But Lilith knew that she wasn’t at risk in this plane of existence because the Gods cannot be killed there, it was one of their conditions to withdraw from the worlds they were tyrannizing, and so she wasn’t on guard.

Also, she didn’t expect Kevin to be so powerful and she was caught off guard. As for the Chains of Restraint, you must have felt it too, they adapt to the power of their master and Kevin had activated his Stage 3 so they were at the peak of their power.”

Miguel then added while Kevin continued to draw : “Regarding the technique that Colin used, no matter how powerful a God is, if his meridians are affected then he becomes vulnerable because his regenerative ability become inactive.

And to heal this kind of wounds it takes at least a healing potion of divine grade to recompose his meridians, except in this plane of existence where any wound always ends up healing by itself.

Then, once the meridians are recomposed it takes a few days or even a week before the chakra or the soul force can circulate normally again in the body of the God.

In the past, this was the only technique we had found to get rid of them, our only chance was to prevent their regeneration ability from working so we could kill them.

We found that the aura that protected them while they were resting and that we couldn’t pierce no matter what practically disappeared when they fought and used their divine energy, and when a God died, that protective aura disappeared completely and Lilith, even if it was temporary, was dead when Colin damaged her meridians.”

Caleb, while listening to them, had been watching Kevin draw and he immediately recognized the divine sword, then he saw that he was beginning to draw the scepter they had told him about, and so he asked Elias: “Why exactly do you need me for ?”

Elias then asked him: “Haven’t you guessed it yet ?”

Caleb, who continued to watch Kevin draw, then said : “You want to know if there is one or two scepters, but what if I’m wrong, the consequences will be terrible.”

He looked Elias in the eye and Elias confirmed that this was what they wanted to know and he suddenly felt nervous, like he just said to Elias, if he was wrong in his assumption then… He preferred don’t think at what could happen, and Miguel seeing him so tense then told him : “We just want your expertise, you’re the one who has always crafted our weapons and you’ve seen with your own eyes the divine sword, so you can estimate the amount of Acrium it contains.

As for Kevin he is drawing you the scepter with the same scale as the divine sword so you can give us an answer knowing exactly what the scepter looks like, just be honest with us and give us your opinion.”

Caleb immediately calmed down and he nodded, waiting for Kevin to finish so he could take a closer look at this scepter.

Once Kevin was done, he asked a few more questions to be sure and then he told them: “There are 2 of them… Even though this scepter is longer than the sword it is relatively thin and the pentagram at its top is also very thin while the divine sword has a wide, long and thick blade, and its pommel is also thick.

But I don’t understand how these two scepters can be so powerful, let’s imagine that it is an Acrium of higher quality than what we have known until now, how such a small quantity could do so much damage ?”

Miguel then placed a sheet of paper on the table and he said : “Thanks to this.”

Caleb looked carefully at the paper Miguel had just placed on the table and it was a diagram of the pentagram. On it he saw that there were runes engraved on it and as he looked at the information that was written on it he clenched his fists and said to them: “So the pentagram is the symbol of the cradle of magic, and thanks to its runes Diana and Lilith will be able to tap into that magic at will… Fucking hell.”

Elias said to Caleb: “Don’t worry, even if they each have a scepter, there’s always time to find a way to counteract their weapons.

Thanks to Miguel we have access to the memory of that very first God who was the only one who knew the runic symbols and Glen is extracting that memory so we can all use his knowledge.

Plus, thanks to Connor, we’re going to be able to find some Acrium and if this Acrium has grown around this unknown energy source, there’s a good chance that it will be a high quality one, at least a more powerful one than what we have been used to find.”

And just when he had finished his sentence he heard several Gods calling him for help at the same time.

He looked at Miguel and he saw his face darkened just before disappearing and he said hastily to Mykael before joining him : “It’s an emergency, protect them !”

Axel looked at his father but it was Kevin who said: “Cassandra.”

Mykael then said : “Indeed, her judgment must be happening right now…”

He looked at Colin and asked him : “Could Lilith be awake now ?”
