627 You’re senses are as sharp as ever
Kevin then explained to them Miguel’s theory about the origin of Sora’s power and after Axel told them that one of their relatives was indeed a evil being, they all finally understood why Kevin and Axel had deduced that the relatives they were going to rescue were their parents.
Lena then said to them confused by this news: “I always thought that one of our parents should be a simple human as I’m one… But if both our parents are special beings then how come I’m a human and not a Dark Elf for example?”
Kevin then looked at Axel who shrugged before telling them: “I don’t know, but you should save this question for your parents… They need you right now so stay focused, and Lena, as an Angel, can you really be compared to a normal human? You should be glad that you have access to this powerful energy because today, thanks to it you’re going to be able to rescue your parents.”
Sora then said, holding Solomon arms to find some comfort after this news: “Then, seeing the situation of this world, it is no wonder that our uncle brought us to another world, what Lena and I have endured during the last 17 years is probably nothing compared to what our parents had to endure here.”
Kevin then told them: “No matter how much they suffered, they knew that you were safe, far from the dangers of this world, so for them they made the right decision.
And no matter how much both of you have suffered, you are still alive and you have been able to find your own happiness… So as your parents are currently very weak, when they ask you how you have been all these years, because they will ask you this question, even if they are on the verge of dying, spare them the details and tell them that you’re happy now, and fufilled.”
Sora smiled at him and nodded, and Atlas then said to Axel and Kevin, still carrying Lena in his arms: “Once we’ve saved them, we need to find their uncle as quickly as possible because we need to know how he was able to open a transdimensional portal to take them to safety to another world.”
Axel nodded and said to him: “Let’s start by saving their parents, then we’ll improvise.”
Kevin then told them: “Once we’ve spotted them we’ll put a plan in place, but in case we have to act hastily and we get separated, or we order you to leave, you must obey immediately and we’ll all meet up in the cave where Miguel sent us.”
Solomon just nodded and Atlas then said: “Don’t forget that I’ve fought alongside you before, I know what you’re both capable of, so if you order us to leave, I’ll do it without hesitation and I won’t even worry about you!”
Axel smiled after hearing this and since Sora had also seen Kevin summon an army of dead creatures during the previous battle, she also nodded sure that the two of them together would get out of trouble no matters what.
Before going any further, Axel entrusted Willow to Sora because if they had to act quickly, he had to be able to fight without risking his daughter getting hurt, and after Kevin had reminded Willow to be a good girl and to obey Sora from now on, they all set off again in the direction of this fortified city which they supposed should be the capital of the evil beings territory.
Once inside the city the streets were deserted but they could all hear the roar of the frenzied crowd coming from a bit far away, and Kevin said to Axel, who was still leading them: “Let me guess, Sora and Lena’s parents are the attraction of the city right now, aren’t they?”
Axel then glanced at the girls and said: “Looks like it, they’re indead in this direction and they’re fighting right now. Both their energy reserves are almost depleted, so let’s hurry!”
Axel then jumped onto one of the roofs of the houses in the street and when everyone joined him, Axel pointed to some sort of colliseum and said: “That’s where they’re fighting!”
Willow then said hurriedly: “Wait, dad, did you feel that?”
Axel smiled at her and as everyone else looked at them, feeling nothing wrong, Axel said proudly: “My beloved little girl, your senses are as sharp as ever.”
Kevin then asked him: “Lilith?”
Axel shook his head and said: “It’s a force field made thanks to the power of a God, but definitely not Lilith’s, it’s too weak… Probably just one of her underlings.”
Kevin then smiled and said: “If an Ancient God is present, then this is going to be a lot more fun than expected.”
He then looked at Sora and said: “We’re not changing our plan, Axel and I will take care of them, don’t worry, everything will be fine.
As soon as we’ve reached your parents, open a Teleportation Portal to the cave and take cover, Willow will help you heal them if their energy reserves are blocked.”
He then added: “Atlas and Solomon you will secure the entrance to the cave until we join you again.
And to avoid being followed, Axel and I will teleport directly inside the cave using our personal dimension.”
Everyone nodded, and then Solomon took out his saber, which his uncle had recently made from one of the metals found in the red dungeons by the Warrior Spirits, and Ian had even filled the blade with black particles to make it even more effective.
As for Sora, she had no real weapons, but she immediately created a sword made entirely of particles of light, as this was the element that would be the most effective against these creatures.
And after that Kevin had activated his Stage 2, they quickly crossed the few kilometres that still separated them from the colliseum and they landed directly on its roof to be able to better observe the situation from there.
