603 What got into him...
When Chris turned around, he saw that not only the orc coming straight at him, but all the orcs still standing in this room had been pierced by ice spikes, and the scenery was so unexpected that Chris couldn’t help but exclaim, full of admiration: “Wow, so cool!”
Zak and Yelena had also been surprised by this sudden attack, but since there had only been 3 of them to fight all those orcs, none of them complained that Julian had killed all the remaining orcs in one go.
When Iris and Helena saw this attack, they were shocked because, with their experience, they knew that what Julian had just done was truly exceptional.
Iris, who had already seen Julian fight at the Battle of the Royal Palace, asked him: “It’s not the first time I’ve seen you create ice spikes out of nowhere, but this attack… How did you do that? You’ve just killed the nine remaining orcs in a matter of seconds, throwing all those ice spikes in one go, your precision is truly astonishing.”
Julian then told them: “Just because I don’t like fighting doesn’t mean I don’t know how to fight, and from here we have a bird’s eye view of the room, which is why I was able to launch such an attack.
As for its precision, that’s only because I’m able to see the particles in the spiritual energy around us and so I can use them as I see fit.”
Helena then asked him: “Is it because of your perception points that you are able to see the particles of the elements you have an affinity with in the spiritual energy all the time?”
He then added still looking at Chris who was now cleaning the room from the orcs bodies and their weapons with Yelena and Zak: “And this is only one of the way I like to fight, maybe I will show you a way that even impress Colin, you should like it too.”
Iris then told him: “If you have been able to impress even Colin then I’m really looking forward to see it too, this evening is going to be fun.”
Julian then asked them, whispering so that only Iris and Helena could hear him: “This dungeon doesn’t seem really hard… Could you try to find another one that could push Yelena to use her powers… If I want to be able to help her, I need to see her using it.”
Iris then bit her lower lip not too sure if that was a good idea…
But Julian really wanted to help Yelena and, since he seemed to have a completely different view of the spiritual energy surrounding them compared to others, maybe he would find a solution so that Yelena can manage to control this energy which sometimes made her lose control because of her direct connection with the Cradle of Magic.
As for Iris, she had already exhausted all her knowledge in an attempt to help Yelena, and she had even asked her to try to remove one or more of the energy reserves she had created for herself, so that her connection with the Cradle of Magic would be broken. But Yelena told her that this was impossible, since it was as if these energy reserves were now part of her body.
The only thing that remained effective for the moment was when she or Helena used the pressure points to disrupt the flow of her chakra in her body, which temporarily broke her connection with the Cradle of Magic, but this solution was only temporary as her chakra flow always returned to its initial state.
Iris then nodded, looking straight in Julian’s eyes, because she felt deep down that she had to trust him, and just after she also told Miguel what they were going to try and do… Yelena was one of their priorities since she was the only human vessel that the Cradle of Magic could use to communicate with them, and so Miguel naturally reminded her to warn him immediately if anything went wrong.
Miguel had always trusted the Warrior Spirits’ instincts and so if Iris wanted to do something to help Yelena, he wouldn’t stand in her way.
Julian was relieved that Iris had agreed with that and so they continued to loot this dungeon.
They fought orcs of differents level, and Iris and Helena always took care of the most dangerous ones.
Arriving at the fourth room, the last one before the dungeon boss’s room, since Julian preferred to stay with them, Iris then stopped Yelena, Zak and Chris from going to fight and she asked Julian: “Could you show us your fighting style that had impressed Colin? The curiosity is killing me!”
Helena then said: “Please, me too I want to see you fight… Let us kill the strongest for you and then they are all yours.”
Julian then sighed because he knew that he shouldn’t have told them that earlier, what got into him… Of course Iris and Helena would want to see him fight after what he said.
He then told them, after having making his ice sword disappear that he ultimately didn’t use: “No need, I can take care of all of them by myself.”
Everyone looked at him then dumbfounded because all the orcs that were there were at least level 80 and the strongest ones were level 120, and there were about 50 orcs in this room… How the hell did Julian want to face them alone right after making his ice sword disappear?
But Iris and Helena didn’t insist, if Julian had managed to impress Colin, it must have been for a good reason, so they left him to deal with this fight as he saw fit and Julian then moved away from them a little, but he still stayed at the entrance of the room.
