Inside the guest room meant for special guests, Leone sat across from his great-grandparents.

The three shared a pleasant discussion, talking about the recent happenings within the Kingdom of Britannia.

Leone almost clapped his hands after hearing that the Barbarians and the Beastkins had managed to eat a good chunk of the Kingdom’s lands.

"You really hate Britannia, don’t you?" Lugh smirked.

"Hate is too weak a word, Great Grandpa," Leone replied. "If anything, I despise them. One of these days, I’d knock that king off his throne and put my father in his place. I’m sure he will make a better King than that old fart."

Leone’s great-grandmother, Rosaline, smiled faintly at the young man’s words. She talked to Leone’s mother, Helen, frequently.

From what she could tell, Helen truly loved her husband. She also said that not only was he a wonderful father, but he was a competent noble as well.

Hearing those words made her understand that Leone truly looked up to his father. However, Lugh had a different opinion.

"Your father is still young, and I don’t think he wishes to become a King," Lugh stated. "But if you must make him the head of the Kingdom of Britannia, you should either make him a Regent or a Prime Minister instead of a King. That way, he can handle the affairs of the Kingdom, while you become its rightful King."

Suddenly, they heard two knocks on the door before it opened.

When Andreas came in, he looked annoyed when he saw the two people responsible for the war casually enjoying afternoon tea together. He was the one who had to deal with the troublesome aftermath!

"The two of you are talking like the Kingdom of Britannia is yours already," Andreas said before glaring at Leone. "If you plan to invade it, make sure you use your own people to do it. Don’t ask for other people’s help in the future."

"Now, now, Andreas. Don’t be like that." Rosaline tried to calm down her son, who looked like he hadn’t slept in days. "Here, please drink some tea and calm down."

Unable to defy his mother’s words, Andreas sat and allowed Lady Rosaline to pour some tea into his cup.

The tea that she had prepared had a calming effect, so Andreas calmed down a bit.

Leone was already aware that the Gryphon Riders had been handed over to the Helion Duchy.

He was already planning to have the Gryphon Riders and their families sign a magical contract with their blood. This would ensure that they would not be able to betray him and divulge his secrets to others no matter what.

And since the magical formation in the Dragon’s Nest was a secret that mustn’t be known to others, he also wanted to have his new slaves—errr, soldiers to keep it a secret as well.

"So, when do you plan to take them?" Andreas asked after a few minutes of silence.

"Now," Leone answered without hesitation.

"Now?" Andreas blinked. "As in right now?"

"Yes," Leone replied before taking out a stack of magical contracts from his storage ring.

The corner of Andreas’ lips twitched after seeing the stack of contracts. Clearly, his no-good grandson had prepared for this moment.

"By the way, how is the situation with the Aurelion Empire?" Andreas asked after storing the magical contracts in his own storage ring.

"Just as planned, they have already occupied Eden," Leone replied. "We will strike them five days from now."

Lugh narrowed his eyes in response, while Andreas frowned. They had no idea how Leone’s campaign against the Aurelion Empire would fare.

And truth be told, they were a little worried about this... trouble-making descendant of theirs.

"Andreas, after the war with the Kingdom of Britannia, you deserve a vacation," Lugh said after a minute had passed.

"A vacation?" Andreas blinked. "A vacation to where?"

Lugh glanced at Leone before giving his reply. "The Borderlands."

At his words, Rosaline’s expression turned solemn, while Jeeves, who was standing behind Andreas, frowned.

"But Master, the paperwork for the war..." Jeeves tried to protest, but Lugh raised his hand.

"My son deserves a vacation, so I’ll handle all the paperwork," Lugh said.

"Vacation?" Andreas scoffed at his words. "More like you want me to babysit, Father."

"What’s wrong with that?" Lugh arched an eyebrow. "Are you not curious about the Borderlands? Also, since we can freely travel from our duchy to Leone’s domain, we might as well check it out to better understand their environment.

"Who knows? We may be able to profit by trading with them. Leone has been bragging about his domain. He even said it looks better than our duchy."

"Huh?" Andreas glared at Leone. "This punk dares to say such a thing?"

Instead of backing away, Leone chuckled. "I don’t want to brag, but my city is truly magnificent. Don’t worry, Grandpa. I’ll make sure you get the VIP treatment. You will not regret taking a vacation in my domain."

Andreas pondered for a while.

His grandson’s words were a challenge he couldn’t ignore. Also, if he were being honest, he was also curious about this so-called magnificent city his grandchild kept bragging about.

That aside, he wanted to see how the barbarians fought their wars, as well as have a good estimate of the forces that Leone had under his command.

At the end of the day, the bloodline of the Helion Family still flowed through the young man’s veins.

If Andreas could give Leone a little push and make him the overlord of his own domain, then it would benefit the Helion Duchy in the long run.

"Fine." Andreas finally relented. "I’ll accept that invitation. I just hope I won’t regret my decision."

"You won’t, Grandfather." Leone smirked. "That I assure you."

What Andreas didn’t know was that the moment he stepped into the Borderlands, he would experience a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

He would see and experience things that defied logic, and it would make him question many things about his own understanding of the world.

After their discussion ended, Andreas and Jeeves handled the contract signing of the Gryphon Riders and their families.

Two hours later, Andreas, Jeeves, and several of their most trusted soldiers led their prisoners to the secret path that led to the Dragon’s Nest.

Although a contract was in place, they still decided to use magical blindfolds to ensure their captives couldn’t see where they were going.

When the last batch of prisoners, along with Andreas and Jeeves, arrived at the Forgotten Temple, the current Patriarch of the Helion Duchy demanded to see this magnificent city that Leone was talking about.

Just as promised, he first took Andreas and Jeeves to the underground city, Soleil, where an artificial sun illuminated the surroundings.

Seeing this scene, Andreas pinched Jeeves to make sure he wasn’t dreaming.

"Master, that hurts," Jeeves replied with a face filled with injustice. "If you are thinking this is a dream, then let me tell you now that you’re not dreaming."

"It’s still too early to be surprised," Leone said with a smug smile plastered on his face. "There is one more city that you need to see."

"O-One more?" Andreas asked hoarsely. "Another city just like this?"

"A different kind of city," Leone answered. "It has its own charm, so I will be happy if Grandfather gives me his honest opinion."

"H-Hmph! My standards are very high, you know?" Andreas tried to act tough, looking as if Soleil City didn’t impress him. "Take me to this second city you are talking about."

"Please follow me," Leone replied with a knowing smile.

A few minutes later, Andreas and Jeeves looked over Aslan City with their mouths wide open.

A city bigger and more majestic than the capital city of the Helion Duchy was laid bare before their very eyes.

By this point, Andreas and Jeeves thought that Leone no longer had any surprises.

However, it wouldn’t take long for them to understand that when it came to both scale and quality, the Aslan Tribe had already surpassed the Helion Duchy in more ways than one.

And the Gryphon Riders, who expected to live a life filled with suffering, would find a surprise waiting for them in the lands that they had tried to conquer in the past.

A reunion, which they never thought would happen so soon, would come to pass.

And on that same day, Leone’s very own Gryphon Battalion would start its first flight in the Borderlands.

This would make the high-ranking and middle-ranked tribes realize that the young Chieftain of the Aslan Tribe had taken another step toward establishing his dominance over the Borderlands.

They had heard his stories about driving away the Kingdom of Britannia’s army back to their kingdom.

But they hadn’t seen that battle.

However, after seeing hundreds of Gryphons soar through the skies above Aslan City, all of them finally understood how much the Aslan Tribe had grown under Leone’s leadership.

In the past, Leone’s forces would lose many of their advantages once they left Grimjaw Mountain. But now, that weakness was addressed.

With the Gryphon Battalion under his command, his forces could finally extend their reach beyond the mountains and take the fight to the skies.

Once again, Leone had surpassed everyone’s expectations, acquiring a powerful new force that would play a major role in the upcoming war against the Aurelion Empire.
