My Kingdom Building Done Right!

Chapter 463: All I Ask Is Your Trust [Part 2]

The warriors couldn’t believe what they had just heard.

Leave the city?

"Why are we not defending Eden?" one of the warriors from the Grimhowl Tribe asked. "Why must we leave? With all the tribes united under your banner, we have nothing to fear."

"That’s right!"

"Lead us to defend Eden!"

"We must protect Eden at all costs!’

The warriors spoke out loud, voicing their opinions and trying to convince the young chieftain not to abandon the city.

However, he had already made up his mind.

"I will say it again," Leone said calmly. "All I ask is your trust. If you don’t trust me, you are free to stay. But to those who trust me and wish to win this war, follow my orders, no matter how unreasonable they may sound. For this is the path that leads to fewer sacrifices. This is the path that will lead to fewer casualties among our people."

Everyone was still reeling from the shock of hearing that their new King was planning to abandon Eden.

The sacred land of the barbarians.

But amidst everyone’s confusion, someone spoke up.

"I’ll... follow you."

From the rubble of the broken wall, Hagen emerged.

Blood flowed from the corner of his lips, and he was barely hanging on to consciousness. The chieftain was leaning on the wall for support to prevent his body from falling.

"Members of the Grimhowl Tribe... prepare to leave Eden," Gundar said after confirming that Hagen’s life was not in danger.

Although he had suffered serious injuries, Leone’s clone still held back in the end, breaking only two of Hagen’s ribs during his last punch.

Gundar’s help and a healing potion from Leone were more than enough to fix him up within a day or two.

Hearing their own great shaman order that they leave Eden, the Grimhowl Tribe finally understood that even Gundar supported Leone’s order.

"I will not force you all to follow my order," Leone said. "Those who want to stay can stay. But be aware that doing so will just result in your vain death. No honor in your courage. No glory in your struggle.

"Only despair awaits you once the enemy tears down the gates of this city and subjects you to all manners of atrocities."

Leone’s words fell like a bucket of cold water over the warriors who had been clamoring to defend Eden.

"Then what are we supposed to do?" one of the warriors asked. "If we abandon Eden, where will we go?"

This was the question that was on everyone’s mind.

Eden was their holy land.

Leaving it was a difficult choice. But even if they left, where would they go?

Everyone’s gaze landed on Leone, who seemed to have a plan in mind.

"We will not abandon Eden," Leone declared. "We are simply laying ? the foundation for our victory. As to where we will go... Do you even need to ask?"

There was only one place where Leone had planned to send everyone.

And that was none other than Aslan City.

After making Eden his territory, the connection between it and Aslan City was established.

One of Leone’s abilities was to teleport a group of people with him to any territory under his control.

However, this was not enough to teleport everyone to the Aslan Tribe’s domain.

Fortunately, Leone had earned multiple rewards while completing his previous missions.

He exchanged the three unused Rare Blueprints that he had been saving for a Super Rare Blueprint from the Arcane Store.

That Super Rare Blueprint was none other than the blueprint for a Teleportation Gate!

He had already asked the Helion Family for some magic stones, as well as other materials necessary to build this teleportation gate anytime.

Leone had already fulfilled the most important condition, which was to make Eden part of his territory. That being so, constructing a teleportation gate would now take less load and resources.

On top of that, they had the help of Lord Azar, who was skilled in magical formations. With his help, the teleportation gate could be further upgraded, allowing the tribes to travel between the two cities in one go.

Leone had planned this from the very beginning.

As if waiting for that moment to come, a shadow passed over the arena where Leone’s duel had just ended.

"I’m here, Leone." Lord Azar, who was in his Dragon form, made his appearance.

Astravor also made his appearance, hovering in the sky with his arms crossed over his chest.

The Elite Forces of the Aslan Tribe had departed Aslan City and headed to the location where Leone had sent them.

They planned to build a small fortress three days away from Eden, which they would use as their camp while waiting for the seven-day mission to end.

For now, Leone planned to evacuate the non-combatants, namely the women, children, and the elderly, to the safety of Aslan City.

He knew that as long as their families were safe, the warriors could fight without worries.

"Those who have finished their preparations for leaving, head to the plaza," Leone stated. "All of you will be sent to the territory of the Aslan Tribe for the time being."

Leone was planning to use this opportunity to make the barbarians see the city that he had built.

This way, they would understand that even if Eden was destroyed, Leone could just build it again into a better and stronger city.

The young man wanted those who had participated in the war against the Monster King and those who hadn’t been to Grimjaw Mountain to see the city he had built.

They said that a picture was worth a thousand words, so Leone decided to show them the capability of their new King.

An hour later, a teleportation gate stood in the plaza of Eden.

It was ten meters tall and ten meters wide.

Lord Azar was busy inscribing a magical array around it to help lighten its load.

Before leaving Aslan City, the Earth Dragon had constructed a gate of similar size near the plaza, right next to the gate of the city.

This way, when people teleported to the Aslan Tribe, they would see the towering statue of the Earth Mother in the distance, as well as the two lion monuments that represented the heroes of the Aslan Tribe, as well as the brave warriors of the Darkmane Tribe.

Leone could already foresee the moment when they laid their eyes on his domain.

The barbarians would finally understand why the Aslan Tribe had risen to prominence in the span of just a few months after it was founded.

Some would think of it as a miracle.

Others would try to use common sense to escape from reality.

But, regardless of what they thought, or did...one thing remained clear.

Leone was now their King.

And after seven days he would return to reclaim Eden.

The city that rightfully belonged to him.
