My Kingdom Building Done Right!
Chapter 460: The Perfect Warrior
"He did what?" Leone looked at Kael, who had come looking for him to report something.
"Hagen has issued you a challenge," Kael replied in a serious tone. "A one-on-one battle in the arena. If you win, he will recognize you as the Barbarian King and dedicate his life to serving you until he draws his last breath."
"What?!" Jason, who was with Leone, ?also looked at Kael in disbelief. "That bastard. He still hasn’t given up! Great Chieftain, please give me the order. I will accept the duel in your place!"
"Let me finish first." Kael raised a hand. "He said it won’t be a battle to the death. It’s counted as our Great Chieftain’s win if he lands a direct hit on him once. He’s also willing to vow that he will not hurt, cripple, or kill you.
"He will only dodge and defend against your attacks. From what I know, the Grimhowl Tribe convened, and Gundar gave him a choice. It was either subordination or exile. Hagen chose neither and instead chose to propose a duel against you with a condition.
The shaman then stated the conditions Hagen had announced earlier in the plaza.
"For one hour, our Great Chieftain can freely attack Hagen, who will do nothing else but block and dodge.
"If time is up and the Great Chieftain has failed to land one hit, he must forgive Hagen’s transgression of wanting to use the Aurelion Empire as a borrowed knife to eliminate our Great Chieftain.
"If our Chieftain wins, Hagen promised he would become our Great Chieftain’s slave. He could do whatever he wished to do with him, even order him to commit suicide."
Leone smiled faintly after hearing Kael’s report. Clearly, Hagen wished to free himself from the "label" of traitor everyone had put on his head. And in order to regain his honor, he decided to settle this matter using the way of the barbarians.
An honorable duel.
Kael and Jason looked at their young chieftain, whom they believed had no chance of landing a hit on the Chieftain of the Grimhowl Tribe.
The reason?
Because Hagen could also transform into a Fenrirkin.
A Fenrirkin was similar to a Werewolf, but boasted greater strength and speed. If Hagen were to fight with his full power, there was no way for Leone to win.
Or at least, that was what Kael and Jason believed.
Even the warriors who had heard his declaration in the plaza earlier understood that this duel was too one-sided.
Still, this was within Hagen’s rights as a chieftain of a high-ranking tribe.
"This seems to be his last hurrah," Daedalus commented. "Since he wants to get beaten up, just accept the challenge."
"Um?" Leone glanced at the grimoire strapped to his waist. "Are you serious?"
"Very serious," Daedalus replied. "Hagen is no match against you—errr, your clone."
The young man blinked in confusion, clueless as to what Daedalus was talking about.
"Leone, there is a secret that I haven’t told you about the vessel you are using right now," Daedalus said in a teasing tone. "It will be easier to just show you."
The grimoire then projected the stats of the clone’s body that its master was using right now.

"The... Faker?" Leone muttered as he looked at the status page of his clone.
Kael and Jason also looked at the information on their Great Chieftain’s clone, which specialized in stirring up trouble.
"What are these question marks?" Leone asked.
"As I said, it will be faster if I just show you," Daedalus replied. "Currently, the stats of your clone match your current stats."
Leone once again looked at his stats and smiled with pride. Finally, he was now stronger than a normal squirrel.
However, the grimoire’s next words made the smile on his face stiffen.
"Truth be told, your clone is very special," Daedalus stated. "When Vlad made it, he envisioned the ’perfect’ version of you."
"The perfect version of me?" Leone pointed at himself. "What perfect version?"
"The version of you that everyone would look up to," Daedalus answered. "Vlad didn’t hold back and wrote those qualities when he made this vessel. Now, tap the question marks with your finger."
The young man still had no idea what Daedalus was talking about. However, he was also very curious about whatever Vlad had added to his vessel.
When his fingertip touched the question marks on the clone’s status page, a new message appeared in front of him.
————
[The true power of this clone is currently locked behind a restriction.]
[Would you like to unlock it?]
[Yes/No]
————
Leone didn’t hesitate to click yes, eager to learn the information Daedalus withheld from him.
————
[DNA of Leone Frontera Confirmed]
[Unlocking in Progress...]
[Unlocking Complete!]
[Sovereign Die (Red) will be automatically rolled!]
————
"Huh?!" Leone couldn’t help but gasp after reading that a Sovereign Die had been automatically activated.
A single Red Die appeared above Leone’s head and fell on the floor beside his feet.
It bounced twice, then rolled a few times before coming to a complete stop.
The number that it showed was....
One.
Before Leone could even react, he felt a surge of power wash over his body like a raging tide.
A gust of wind blew outwards from his body, pushing Kael and Jason away from him.
Half a minute later, the clone’s Status Page once again appeared in front of Leone.

Leone almost coughed up blood after seeing the stats of his clone.
This was the first time he had seen such a ridiculous status page!
"What the hell is this?!" Leone pointed at the screen with a trembling finger. "What is this nonsense?!"
"What’s wrong with it?" Daedalus asked. "Isn’t it strong?"
"Strong my foot!" Leone stomped his feet in anger... which resulted in the floor actually cracking.
Completely ignoring the damage he had just done, Leone pointed at the part of the Status Page that he found very ridiculous.
"The Unique Skill, the Passive Skill, and the Signature Ability are all top tier," Leone said after reading through all the skill descriptions. "But why are all the active skills like that?! Are you serious? Why are my active skills Punch and Kick?! What is this nonsense?!"
At first, Leone was very impressed. The skills his clone unlocked were truly powerful.
Especially the passive skills.
Universal Weapon Mastery granted the clone absolute mastery over every known weapon. This meant that it could utilize any weapon and its corresponding techniques as if it had trained with it for countless years.
That was a very powerful ability, and Leone had no complaint about that.
On the other hand, Diamond Body made the clone’s body as hard as diamonds! While this didn’t mean it couldn’t be injured in battle, it could still brush off most attacks like arrows from afar.
The Signature Ability Forced Duel [EX] was amazing too.
By dragging a single enemy inside a domain, the clone could unleash powerful attacks without worrying about outside interference.
But what really irked Leone the most were the active skills!
Instead of cool-sounding names like Heaven Smasher, Mountain Breaker, or Cloud Step, the active skills he received were...
Parry.
Punch.
Kick.
Dodge.
"Are you kidding me?" Leone facepalmed. "Vlad, you should have used your imagination more! You made everything else perfect, but this... this..."
Somewhere in the Aslan Tribe, Vlad suddenly sneezed.
"Leone must be thinking about me." Vlad rubbed his nose with a smile on his face. "I bet he is praising me and bragging about my accomplishments in Eden."
Little did the teenager know that if he had just put in a bit more effort in perfecting the clone Leone was using right now, the young chieftain would have definitely built Vlad a stone statue in Grimjaw Mountain!
Unfortunately, the teenager felt short in creating the "perfect" version that Leone had envisioned for himself.
