Chapter 142: Chapter 142: Sand Falling Goose Technique

"Of all people, I hate you East Asians the most. You’re so weak. I’m going to send you flying off this stage with one kick! Using all my strength. Guess how far you’ll fly! You might even die, you know!" Crov’s eyes glinted with a savage light as he grinned ferociously and charged at Ye Xing. His powerful body was like a rampaging tank, bearing down on him.

...

In the surrounding stands, people watched the match while chatting in small groups.

"Spark, have the bets for this match opened yet?"

"They opened a while ago. I heard some fool put down two million US Dollar, betting on that young kid to win!"

"For real? Isaiah, are you sure you heard that right?"

"How could I have misheard? The news is everywhere! It’s the absolute truth! The odds are so lopsided, after all, so there’s always a small group of people willing to take the risk. But to have the guts to bet two million US Dollar... I don’t know if he’s bold or just has too much money!"

"Who is it? What a big spender. If he actually wins that two-million-dollar bet, wouldn’t he make a killing?"

"Haha, Spark, you’re hilarious!"

...

"Arnold, did you bet on this match?"

"I did. Two hundred thousand US Dollar!"

"You’ve got some nerve. Isn’t that your entire life savings? Be careful you don’t lose it all!"

"How could I lose? There’s absolutely no way I’ll lose!"

"Who’d you bet on to win?"

"Is that even a question? Demon King Crov, of course! What about you?"

"I also put a hundred thousand US Dollar on Crov to win. But I also put a thousand US Dollar on that kid from the East!"

"Are you stupid? Crov is obviously going to win this match. It’s a sure thing!"

"What do you know? It’s called not putting all your eggs in one basket. Do you have any idea how lopsided their odds are? Too many people are betting on Crov, so there are too many people to split the winnings. Even if he wins, the payout will be tiny. On the other hand, if I bet on that Eastern kid and he wins, my thousand US Dollar could multiply by ten or even twenty times. Losing a hundred thousand US Dollar on one side, but winning ten or twenty thousand on the other... at least I can recoup some of my losses."

"Then why didn’t you bet more? It’s only a thousand US Dollar! If you’d bet ten thousand, you would’ve struck it rich if you won."

"Heh, high returns also mean high risk. I’d feel the sting if I lost ten thousand US Dollar. As for a thousand, if I lose it, I lose it. The main thing is that hundred thousand. After all, the chance of Crov winning this match is at least ninety-nine percent—"

"Oh, my God! Look! What’s happening?!"

A sudden commotion swept through the crowd, and countless pairs of eyes snapped to the central stage.

An unbelievable scene was unfolding on the stage. With his hands clasped behind his back, the Eastern youth simply turned slightly to the side in an incredibly cool and collected motion, effortlessly dodging Demon King Crov’s swift and ferocious kick. Then, his foot moved, his right leg sweeping lightly against Crov’s heel.

The next moment—

THUD!

Demon King Crov’s huge, sturdy body suddenly tilted forward. In a Perfect, ass-in-the-air, Sand Falling Goose Technique, he took a spectacular fall, landing flat on the ground. His chin slammed hard into the stage, and the impact from his heavy body made the entire platform tremble slightly.

Following Demon King Crov’s fall, the entire arena went silent for a few seconds before erupting as if a pot had boiled over.

"Oh my God! Can someone please tell me what just happened! How could the invincible Demon King Crov possibly lose? He actually fell! I’m sure this must have been an accident!" the referee shrieked into the microphone.

On the stage, Crov scrambled up from the floor. He had only taken a tumble and was basically unharmed. But to be tripped by a kid several sizes smaller than him in front of so many people, under the watchful eyes of the entire crowd—this was an absolute, public humiliation.

"Kid, I’m going to tear you to shreds!" Like a raging bull, Crov roared and charged forward again, launching another sweep kick at Ye Xing’s head. His movement was faster and more ferocious than before; he was clearly using his full strength. One could only imagine that taking a kick like that to the head would result in a concussion, if not death.

"Look, Demon King Crov is using his full strength!"

"See? I told you Crov couldn’t possibly lose. He must have just underestimated him before!"

"The fall was a total accident."

"Haha, Demon King Crov is furious! That Eastern kid is in for it now!"

"Crov’s nickname is ’Vajra Leg.’ Do you think that kid’s head will explode like a watermelon if that kick lands?"

"This is so exciting!"

"Crov!" "Crov!" "Crov!"

"My invincible Demon King Crov, tear your opponent to—"

HISS!

A series of sharp, collective gasps rippled through the audience. People were so shocked their jaws dropped to the floor.

On the stage, the invincible Demon King Crov had once again taken a spectacular fall. Just like last time, it was an ass-in-the-air, Sand Falling Goose Technique.

This time, however, because he had used too much force and his momentum was too great, his fall was even more miserable than the last. His mouth slammed directly into the stage, knocking out two of his front teeth on the spot and filling his mouth with blood.

"Thanks for the match!" Ye Xing said, clasping his hands in a mock salute, a hint of amusement in his eyes.

"Aargh! Kid, you East Asian Dog! I’m gonna kick your damn head in!" Crov’s eyes were bloodshot, veins popping on his forehead as he roared and charged at Ye Xing again, preparing to use his signature move, the Vajra Leg, once more.

"Are you sure you want to kick me again? Aren’t you afraid you’ll fall?" Ye Xing said faintly, a small smile playing on his lips.

The moment Ye Xing’s words fell, Crov’s body lurched to a halt. He seemed to snap out of his rage, clutching his throbbing chin as his gaze fell, heavy and focused, on Ye Xing’s right foot. He had been tripped by that same right foot twice in a row. If it had happened just once, it could be called an accident. But to be tripped twice in a row was definitely not that simple. It was obvious that the young man before him really did have some kind of special technique.

’This kid probably only knows how to attack low. I just need to plant my feet and smash him with my fists. He’s small, so there’s no way his strength compares to mine!’ As expected of a top-tier boxer who had been in the ring for years, Crov formulated a new attack strategy in an instant. In the world of boxing, every fighter had their weaknesses.

Crov studied Ye Xing carefully for a few moments, searching for an opening, before advancing on him step by step.

"Hah!" Crov shouted, throwing a probing punch toward Ye Xing.

However, Ye Xing didn’t even move, as if he knew it was a feint.

Crov’s gaze remained cautious. After a few more feints, he finally lost his patience and swung a fist the size of a sandbag directly at Ye Xing’s face.
