Fu Hanzheng glared at him and walked towards the study upstairs.

“Come here.”

Fu Shiqin pursed his lips and followed Fu Hanzheng with his nephew, whispering to him as they walked, “Youyou, you must not be as annoying as your father when you grow up.”

Gu Weiwei passed by the stairs and looked up.

“Fu Shiqin, I heard that!”

Fu Shiqin laughed dryly and carried Youyou upstairs to the study. Then he placed his nephew on Fu Hanzheng’s desk so that he could play with him.

“What is it? Couldn’t you wait until after dinner?”

With the little bun in his arms and dinner waiting for him, he was not in the mood to talk about work.

“Do you know about Old Master Qin’s birthday?” Fu Hanzheng said coldly.

Fu Shiqin said distractedly as he was holding his nephew, “Oh my gosh, every birthday of the elders is always like this. Our family hosts ours here and their family does the hosting there.”

“Weiwei and the children are going there this year, please tell them that we need their cooperation.” Fu Hanzheng stressed.

If they had not been friends for so many years, he would not have wanted her and the children to attend such an occasion.

“Well…” Fu Shiqin came back to himself and looked at his brother’s serious expression. “This is their birthday banquet after all, it is not very nice of us to interfere.”

“I don’t want to put Weiwei and the two children at risk. It is a complicated place and I can’t bring them there without my own men joining security,” Fu Hanzheng said seriously.

Fu Shiqin thought for a while and understood what his brother was worried about, so he said, “I heard that Lil’ Lv is in charge of this year’s event. I will talk with him and Qin Man tomorrow and arrange for some of our men to be there. We will also check the invited staff.”

After all, it was for the safety of sister-in-law and the two babies.

He had not thought much about it, but after what his brother said, he decided to be careful.

He did not want either of them to get hurt.

“Qin Lv is in charge?” Fu Hanzheng asked.

He just could not trust Qin Lv completely.

“Yes, his father is not in good health. Qin Lang and Qin Jianjia are busy with the military conflict between Hua Land and the neighboring countries, so only Qin Lv is here,” Fu Shiqin said.

Fu Hanzheng’s expression sank. “Then Lei Meng can go there in person.”

Fu Shiqin said amusedly, “Really? Brother, are you still bothered by the fact that Lv once courted Sister-in-law?”

After they returned to the country, they learned that they were still together and had children together. Qin Lv did not do anything out of line, but his brother was still guarding against him as if he were a thief.

Fu Hanzheng squinted at him and carried away his son.

“Just do what I asked you to do.”

“Hey, I was the one who carried Youyou up first!” Fu Shiqin was displeased.

With one hand holding his son, Fu Hanzheng opened the door with the other.

“He is my son, why can’t I hold him?”

Having said these words, he went downstairs with his son in arms.

Fu Shiqin followed him downstairs angrily. When he failed to get the boy, he went to grab Tiantian who was playing with Fu Shiyi.

“Tiantian, come to me, I have delicious food here,” he said as he tried to tempt Tiantian with cookies.

As expected, when Tiantian saw the cookies in his hands, she crawled over to him at a very fast speed.

“Come back, Tiantian! Come back!”

Fu Shiyi went after her, but the girl had already reached Fu Shiqin and the cookies that were with him.

She broke down and cried when she saw the cookies being held further and further away from her.

Fu Shiqin gave her the cookies. “Here, these are all yours.”

The girl took hold of the cookies and stuffed them into her mouth with tears in the corner of her eyes. She smiled in satisfaction after one bite.
