While Ryan entered the interior of the castle accompanied by Lise, Chloe, and Irina, Alicia walked by his side, bringing him up to speed on the news that had occurred during his absence.

She informed him that William and his people were already waiting in the main hall along with Edwin, the leader of the merchant guild.

‘They arrived sooner than I thought, although it is already quite late,’ Ryan thought as they advanced through the main entrance of the compound.

All along the way, he received cordial greetings and bows from the demon and elf servants now working in the castle.

By that time, night had completely fallen over the territory of Kowarre, and through the large windows, an unusual but beautiful full moon could be seen shining in the completely cloudless sky.

The celestial body was enormous at that time of year, and its clear light illuminated the entire small capital of Kowarre, covering both the imposing structure of the castle up high and the small town located beneath the mountain, which continued to grow constantly thanks to the new constructions.

Alicia guided Ryan and the others down the wide main hallway to take him straight to where William was, but halfway there, something unusual caught his attention up ahead.

A demon woman walking in the opposite direction jumped upon seeing him approach and quickly hid behind a thick stone column. However, her attempt was completely useless, as her massive breasts clearly stuck out from one side of the pillar due to her voluptuous figure.

‘That demon…’ Ryan sighed upon seeing her. He certainly had no idea why she was there, but given the size of her breasts, it was obvious who it was.

Ryan imagined that Ophelia was probably plotting something, but he placed his trust in his loyal assistant to tell him what was going on.

“What is Roxy doing here?” Ryan asked, stopping his stride for a moment upon recognizing her with ease.

Realizing she had been discovered so quickly, she didn’t even wait for an answer or properly process what he had said. She simply jumped out of her hiding spot, defensively pressing her elbows against her body with obvious nervousness.

“I’ve already told you my name isn’t Roky!” she complained loudly out of pure habit, thinking he had gotten her name wrong again like on previous occasions.

In response to her hasty shout, Ryan simply frowned and looked at her in silence. A second later, upon realizing what he had actually said, her eyes widened and her face turned completely red.

“Yes, I know. You are the guardian of the Armenes tower, but no one here called you Roky.”

“Uh, he actually remembered it this time…” Roxy murmured, freezing in the middle of the hallway.

Realizing her mistake of answering without listening first, her face turned bright red. Deeply embarrassed, she began bowing repeatedly and apologizing as Ryan walked away with his group to meet William and Edwin.

‘It seems she has some lingering trauma; I can’t even remember who started making fun of her name anymore. Whatever, it’s not like it matters now,’ Ryan thought without breaking his stride.

“That woman seems to have all her brains in her breasts,” Lise commented disdainfully as she watched her remain behind, bowing repeatedly in the corridor.

Both Chloe and Irina couldn’t contain themselves and laughed softly at the dragoness’s remark and that subordinate’s clumsiness.

“Sorry about that, Your Majesty. Roxy came yesterday on Ophelia’s orders; she brought important information about the Walpurgis,” Alicia explained, resuming her pace next to him as they approached the hall doors.

‘So Ophelia sent her,’ Ryan thought, understanding the reason for her presence in the castle, and nodded.

“Alright, you can tell me more lat—” Ryan started to say, but without even being able to finish his sentence, a loud shout echoed throughout the place.

“Ryan!” two voices exclaimed at the same time from the other end of the hallway.

Before he could take another step, Helen and Mirian ran toward him and both jumped, clinging tightly to his arms, hanging one on each side of his body.

“You took a long time to get back. What were you doing out there?” Helen complained without letting go of his arm as she walked glued to his side.

“It’s only logical that I took a while; there was a lot to do. I imagine you’ve kept everything in order here while I was gone, right?” Ryan asked, looking at both women at his sides.

“Yes, of course. You know full well that we are very responsible,” they answered at the same time with absolute confidence and a proud smile.

Ryan let out a heavy sigh, completely ignoring that last word, because knowing them all too well, he knew that the two of them were not responsible in the slightest when left unsupervised.

When Ryan finally entered the main hall, with Helen and Mirian still holding onto his arms, he approached Edwin and William, who were waiting there.

Seeing him approach, Edwin immediately stood up, looking pleasantly surprised.

“Young Krai, I didn’t expect to see you here… now I am much more intrigued to meet the demon king, if someone like you and William are on such good terms with him,” the merchant spoke, remembering the fake identity with which he had dealt with him previously in the Kallistia nation.

‘Krai? Ah, right, I still haven’t taken off the relic I used to change my appearance in Erhes Valley,’ Ryan remembered instantly, realizing he was still wearing the concealment artifact since he left the human city.

Helen and Mirian held back their laughter at what they were hearing, at how such an important merchant leader had already been in contact with the demon king without even knowing it.

Without beating around the bush, Ryan raised his right hand and touched the small earring he was wearing.

“I’m sorry for deceiving you earlier, Edwin. I had my reasons for doing so, but in reality, I am Ryan, the demon king,” he said calmly, and right as he finished his sentence, he took off the earring, deactivating the effect; instantly, his hair returned to its natural brown color and his eyes turned green again in front of everyone present.
