Chapter 214: Enemy Sky and Two Naked Heroines
Amidst the dense white clouds, Ivis continued her flight ripping through the wind with Ryan clinging tightly to her back. The enormous scales beneath the boy’s gloves felt cold and hard as steel while they ascended.
She, keeping her gaze fixed firmly straight ahead, spoke raising her deep voice over the roar of the air.
"I did not think there would be an S-rank hero in such a distant town."
Ivis took a small pause in her narration while she adjusted the angle of her wings to gain more altitude. She executed an evasive maneuver with her gigantic body, dodging some moisture-laden clouds without losing the rhythm of her flight.
"If I am not mistaken, that was William." Ivis added with a tone loaded with complete disdain toward the heroic figure of the humans.
"So you knew him?" Ryan asked, bringing his face a little closer to the thick neck of the beast in order to be heard.
"Naturally." The dragon woman responded, letting out a snort that released a burst of hot steam from her large nostrils.
"I am well aware of the face and the name of every single S and SS-rank hero across all the nations of the world."
’I see, she thinks that William is merely an S-rank.’
The boy analyzed in his mind, processing the sheer lack of information that Morrisen’s espionage network possessed at that moment.
’That means that the camouflage of his accessories truly does work extremely well against high-level beings.’ Ryan thought, maintaining himself completely calm.
"If he had attacked us on that hill, I would have killed him in a single instant." Ivis said, revealing her sharp fangs to the rushing wind.
"I have absolutely no doubt about that." Ryan said in response, conceding her point sharply so as not to prolong a completely useless discussion.
’Even so, I would not have allowed them to fight under any circumstances in that place.’
The human reasoned in complete silence, feeling the enormous physical force of the beast’s flight right beneath his legs.
’William will be a highly important piece that I plan to use to my advantage when I go to face the church directly. Just as Ophelia is right now in this one. He will also fulfill an important purpose in my own plans.’
Ryan thought and turned his gaze over his shoulder to check the exact distance they had covered over the last few minutes. But absolutely nothing of the small fishing town could be seen anymore, only an infinite mantle of white clouds completely covering the earth below.
’Therefore, for the moment I truly hope he does not die before his time.’ He culminated his thought, returning his fixed gaze to the front.
The flight of the enormous scaly creature continued at full speed soaring through the sky far above the gray clouds. Ryan thought that not even in the commercial airplanes of his former world had he ever flown quite so high.
They followed a completely clear aerial path, guiding themselves by the wind currents of the extreme heights. Ivis firmly assured him that it was the exact same route they had used when she brought him over just a single day ago.
The very same direct route all the way to the capital of Kainon where Queen Ophelia’s immense castle was located.
After a long time of uninterrupted travel, the weather suddenly changed all around them without any prior warning. The cold air turned into a freezing, biting wind that battered hard against the boy’s clothing at that immense height.
And the earth in the distance far beneath them already looked entirely painted in a blinding white color.
’We have entered the nation of Demon King Rigal.’
Ryan thought while he observed the snowy terrain from a distance, recognizing the hostile and frozen landscape of their direct enemies.
"I will use magic to completely conceal us, that annoying woman is nearby." Ivis said abruptly, sounding highly tense beneath her scales.
The enormous black reptile’s body glowed slightly and a bubble, like extremely thin and elastic water, covered them completely. The translucent barrier cut off the sound of the howling wind immediately, cleanly isolating their magical presence and their body heat from the exterior.
A damp layer that floated mere centimeters from Ryan’s skin, keeping him entirely safe from any prying eyes in the zone.
"This will allow us to camouflage ourselves perfectly. But, we must distance ourselves rapidly from this surveillance sector." Ivis added, maintaining the extremely high speed she was carrying without slowing down for a single second in the air.
"What woman are you talking about?" Ryan asked, furrowing his brow.
"Lise, the wind dragon in service to Rigal." She spat the name with a clear and profound contempt in her voice.
"She usually flies over these border zones searching the skies for any intruders for her master. But when I took you with me to the castle the first time around. I did it with total tranquility because she was not at her post."
Ivis moved her enormous black wings, pushing the protective bubble through the grayish sky of the snowy continent.
"But a moment ago I was able to catch her disgusting scent from many leagues away. And I am completely sure that she noticed me too. But, let us get out of here, fighting her would be a completely useless waste of energy for us."
She continued advancing in a precise manner, elevating herself even further to hide among some immense peaks of clouds.
"Besides, I do not want Rigal’s dogs to know that you have direct connections with my Lady Ophelia." Ivis culminated.
"Alright." Ryan nodded, fully supporting the decision to evade aerial combat at all costs.
Both of them knew to perfection the exact consequences of being seen in the enemy sky. If they were located in that very instant, a dragon with her telepathy capability would immediately warn Demon King Rigal of the situation.
And it would completely ruin the element of surprise they had organized so much, which was not good for their plans at all. But by remaining completely hidden within the dense barrier of Ivis’s magical water, they managed to evade being detected in the extreme heights.
They managed to get far away from that frozen place without leaving a single trace of residual mana in the clouds behind them. And after a long time flying in a steep dive, they arrived at the exact vicinity where their entry point was located.
Before even getting too close to the coast, Ivis folded her wings and plunged directly into the water of the sea. The impact was entirely cushioned by her magic and she began to swim at high speed through the freezing depths.
She crossed the large underwater portal hidden entirely among the rocks without decreasing her momentum under the pressure of the ocean.
And she emerged immediately into the familiar terrain of the forest.
The waters parted in the lake near where the secret village of the exiled elves was settled. The sound of the waterfalls and the birds immediately replaced the freezing whistling of the snowy continent.
Without waiting to dry herself for a single second, she flapped her soaked wings and rose with a colossal sheer power. She shot straight out of the water directly toward the heights of the forest, seeking the gigantic floating rift.
She headed straight into the dungeon in the sky, crossing the portal suspended perfectly in the air with a loud magical sound. And in mid-flight toward the interior, the dragon girl returned to her humanoid form in a sudden flash of bright light.
She landed with immense elegance on her two feet, a little removed from the portal’s rift.
Stepping firmly upon the stone floor of the dungeon, and Ryan landed right by her side.
"Ryan!"
Two highly familiar female voices shouted in unison, requiring absolutely no introduction whatsoever to his ears.
But upon seeing them straight ahead in the middle of the corridor, Ryan furrowed his brow in a pronounced manner.
Ivis, standing right next to him in her horned woman form, let out a sigh of pure exhaustion and brought her hand to her forehead.
"Are you two completely insane?" Ryan said with a harsh and crude tone, crossing his arms in the face of the scene.
He kept his green eyes staring fixedly directly at the sweaty bodies of the girls who had run to receive him.
Helen and Mirian, his two S-rank heroines, were standing right in front of him panting heavily.
And they were completely half-naked, showing off their large breasts, their navels, and their firm white thighs without the slightest bit of shame.
Right in the exact middle of the corridor of the dungeon in the sky.
