Chapter 206: Testing Perfect Sync

He took the mutated crab out of his Spatial Waist Pendant, snapped off one of its legs, and tossed it into the drawer for the Queen Ant.

He was not worried that it would be unable to eat it.

After all, it was still a mutated creature.

It could not possibly fail to chew through a crab leg.

Gaemi immediately hugged the crab leg with its two front legs.

Its antennae trembled slightly.

Through their Mental Power connection, Joo Joowon received what could only be described as endless praise from the Queen Ant.

Calling it flattery was not entirely accurate.

An ant’s vocabulary was simply too limited to come up with elaborate compliments.

All it could express was that Joo Joowon was incredibly generous and that even its own Mother Queen had never fed it food this good while it was still living in the colony.

That was only natural.

All food had been gathered by the worker ants.

They lacked the strength to hunt creatures with high energy levels.

Even if the mushrooms growing around the nest really were precious treasures, they would naturally be reserved for the Queen Ant herself.

No one would waste them on a female ant who was destined to leave the colony one day.

Joo Joowon told Gaemi to stay inside the house and behave itself. Then he walked outside and reminded Byeol once again not to cause trouble while he was gone.

Perhaps because Gaemi had been placed in the bedroom where he slept, Byeol still regarded it with open hostility today.

Looking at it from another perspective, Joo Joowon felt that Byeol’s reaction was actually understandable.

The living room was shared space.

The bedroom, however, had always belonged only to him and Byeol.

To animals, the place where they slept was the safest place of all.

Having a strange ant suddenly appear there would naturally make any cat unhappy.

After closing the door, Joo Joowon headed toward the second floor of building three, the place Jin Hunseok had mentioned.

The reason Joo Joowon chose to walk there was because he felt unusually excited and wanted to experiment with the talent Perfect Sync in the stairwell.

Everyone knew that players in games rarely walked normally.

It was as though they all suffered from hyperactivity.

They hopped as they walked, walked backward, and came up with every strange way of moving imaginable.

People in the real world, however, would never do such things.

Whether it was physically possible was one matter.

The exhaustion and inconvenience were another. Yet now Joo Joowon found that his body felt so light that he could move exactly as if he were inside a game.

He could keep hopping, walk backward, or even walk while bent backward at the waist without any difficulty.

Under the coordination of his Mental Power, every attribute exerted exactly the amount of force that was most appropriate.

Nothing felt unnatural or uncomfortable.

His energy consumption had also been reduced to the minimum, preventing his body from becoming tired.

Very nice.

After conducting several experiments, Joo Joowon was extremely satisfied with the results.

If he had to fight someone hand to hand now, he might not necessarily lose even against an expert who had trained in martial arts since childhood.

His opponent would have technique.

Residential neighborhoods like theirs had never had many people wandering around at night in the first place.

That made them relatively easy to clear.

Unlike shopping malls and similar places, where clearing the area was almost impossible.

As soon as he stepped onto the second floor, Joo Joowon heard activity coming from somewhere nearby.

There were voices, the sounds of cooking, and various conversations.

Judging from the noise, there were at least a dozen people gathered there.

When he walked upstairs, he even found someone standing guard at the entrance.

Joo Joowon was briefly surprised before quickly calming down.

After all, the man he had met earlier had already demonstrated strong leadership qualities as well as excellent awareness of danger.

Having people take turns standing guard was hardly unexpected.

Joo Joowon had no intention of hiding his presence.

He spread his Mental Power outward.

The person standing watch in the hallway suddenly shivered for no apparent reason.

Unable to understand what had just happened, they rubbed their arms and scratched their head in confusion.

A flicker crossed Joo Joowon’s eyes.

It seemed that in the future, when he used his Mental Power to "observe" the world, he would have to be a little more restrained.

Even players who clearly did not specialize in Mental Power could still react to it.

Not to mention those with exceptionally sharp instincts.

Only when Joo Joowon entered the guard’s field of vision did the other person finally notice him.

"Wait."

Joo Joowon stopped walking.

Seeing that he was not carrying any supplies and that the helmet on his head was obviously a piece of equipment, the guard immediately became wary.

"Are you here to join us, or are you here to trade supplies?"

Joo Joowon replied, "You could say it’s a trade. Where’s your leader?"

The young man froze for a moment when he heard Joo Joowon’s answer.

What did he mean by you could say it was a trade?

He immediately shouted toward the room behind him.

"Hyung! Someone’s looking for you! Come over here!"
